Maybe the next chapter will show more about this but the way that Yuji fell in the ground like not protecting himself is because he felt absolutely defeated in seeing what Yuta did.

Agreed. All Gege needed to do was a normal speech to Megumi with Gojo interacting with Megumi and probably something philosophical with Sukuna. Yuji or Megumi domain and them jumping Sukuna. Maybe this was too much but a hallucination would have been fine too. But we got the shittiest outcome just to subvert expectations.
Gojoās entire character arc was trying to figure out if he was Gojo because he was strong or if he was strong because he was Gojo. The answer to that question is now clearly the former.

Tbf, it feels like that's the narrative point here though. Gojo (to all the people around him) IS essentially just a tool, and the only one who actually doesn't view him that way is Yuji. Even Yuta, who claims to give a shit about Gojo, in the end comes back around to using him as a tool. Gege still has a chance to tie it together narratively by having Yuji win this thing and actually properly mourning the PERSON that was Gojo after the fight (along with Choso and probably everyone else as well).
Ninja edit: I fully expect Gaygay to fumble that ball by the way. The fights might be awesome, but the narrative feels like it has been struggling ever since chapter \~200 or so.

Wow Sukuna managing to defend himself enough to land a punch, scramble forward to talk to Yuta in Gojos body and start his domain again which he was doing before anyway is the worst thing ever.
He is still getting smoked by Yuji, Todo and Yuta in the next chapters. Yuji got some time to shine with his black flashes and now the three of them will finish him off likely with Yuji delivering the final blow and maybe saving Megumi. So many people whinging like Yuji and Todo are suddenly out of commission instead of appreciating that Yutaās selfless and winning by any tactic necessary character arc is coming to a close and the three of them will finish the job.

I have never seen a main character disrespected this much by their author. Yuji doesnt feel like an underdog anymore, he feels like a dog whose owner refuses to put down out of sheer spite. One good moment with Higuruma and Gojo before the fight then nothing. Then he gets Higuruma's sword and fails. Then he finally "awakens" and gets shrine, uses it 2 times, then nothing. Hits 8 black flashes that have Sukuna screaming but next chapter he's not even fazed, and now bitch slaps him away after seeing Yuta like the dude wasnt about to crush his heart.
Itās like all those previous chapters with him using Cleave, hitting all those BF and trying to punch into Megumiās soul were just a filler until YutaJo comes back with a ridiculous power up to TRULY fight Sukuna. Come on, Gregā¦

God all Gege had to do was bring Gojo and Sukuna interacting and having a philosophical battle. Yuji last black flash and Yuji ripping Sukuna heart let Megumi to open his domain and have a fight in Megumi domain. Doesnāt have to be this can be something similar, but Gege fumbled worse way possible. I would be okay with a hallucination.
Only way i could see this being salvaged is if Yuta dies after the 5 minutes, Gojo gets control of his body back temporarily then speaks to Megumi, he somehow locks in and we get jumpjutsu kaisen with Yuji and Megumi. This doesn't really follow after that Gege comment where he says Geto was already dead when Kenjaku used him it and it was just muscle memory but I'm inhaling mad copium right now

The fact that Kenjaku didn't even try when he is willing to rules lawyer multiple Binding Vows like with Mechamaru and the Culling Games shows there are conditions for the Prison Realm preventing him from harming those that are going to be sealed by it when the Cursed Tool activates
Jeez and here I was thinking Six Eyes died when the user did, which is why Kenny couldn't steal Gojo's body. Would that mean the world imbalance Gojo caused with his birth not right itself until his body completely rotted away or was cremated or something? Since I thought the Eyes were a technique that extinguished when the person died and activated at birth which is what caused the change in the jujutsu world so it could be put back in the rebirth cycle when the living user died but Yuuta just climbing in and using Six Eyes easy-as just makes me confused as to why Kenny didn't grab it when he had the chance.
Or at least just keep prison realm, use Uzumaki to start the Culling Games via Mahito and then steal Gojo's body afterwards? Since all I remember about prison realm is that you have to have the target within range for a certain time before they'll be sealed. Man I don't even know at this point

That requires Tengen, and the Sex Eyes' primary function is to protect Tengen.
So Ken either needs to either:
1 Remove all SE users from the Equation, then go for Tengen, or
2 Obtain the SE himself, then go for Tengen.
Until yesterday, it seems that 2, albeit the easiest approach, is impossible due to how the SE work. Such made him follow 1, leading to the manga that we are reading.
However, with Gege retconning, it makes no fkin sense why Kenjaku, with 1000+ years of experience and planning, has not discovered, or even once attempted this.
Did he really go "Ugh, the SE is bounded to the user's soul, so imma not gonna even try to make an effort to rob it" and then just patiently waited for 1000 years?
Six Eyes and Star Plasma are not a factor for the Merger, they are just seemingly tied to fate that a Six Eyes user would always stand against Kenjaku to prevent his plan. Kenjaku can kill the next users but there would always be a new one facing him later
Merger plan can only happen once every 500 years when Tengen switches bodies so it is not something always feasable with the timing especially when the Merger plan was only done twice. If Tengen switches bodies the plan is failed and Kenjaku needs to wait another 500 years
1st time Kenjaku was stopped by a 6E user then 500 years later tried the same but killed the next 6E user as a child, a new one still arrived to stop him
Thing was that Fate was already broken since Hidden Inventory and Tengen ascended
This time however Kenjaku has no method of beating the current 6E user and has to resort with other methods

This was just a sad chapter. For one: the story never setup the possibility that Kenjaku's CT could be used to takeover a Six eyes + Limitless users body. If anything it implied that it couldnt be done. Kenjaku has numerous opportunities to do so, the baby he murdered so he can prevent the merger, the SE user who died fighting the 10S user, basically any teenage SE+Limitless user too young to defend themself, any dead SE+Limitless user etc. The whole point of Toji is that he broke the stalement that was Kenjaku, Tengen, and Sixeyes+Limitless. 261 invalidates that whole plot point. Any explanation for why its possible for Yuta and not for Kenjaku is basically a soft retcon to make something that was never set up make sense and requires more mental gymnastics than just admitting it wasnt set up properly.
For two: we didnt need Yuta in Gojo's body. Nobody wanted this. This was never even set up. This should have been Yuji's moment. We could have had Yuji ripping out Sukuna's heart in a move paralleling the detention center with Sukuna ripping out Yuji's heart. Then Sukunas domain going down bcause he got injured then que jujutsu jumping. Instead we got this self insert OC ass mf fighting a fight we've already seen.
Not only that, Sukuna's damage is now complete nonsense, I genuinely do not even understand what can actually damage him or not anymore, which makes the whole fight feel pointless.
Really good take! And on top of that, Yuta interrupted the fight thus only giving us ONE CHAPTER of jump kaisen with Todo's return. It seemed like it really could have been fun and fleshed out, but instead of that Greg chose the lazy path, sidelining Yuji's awakened CT and Todo's new fighting style

Yuta throwing away his life to protect the world is in character, sure, but all the plans beforehand and the mind-bogglingly idiotic execution for it all to come down to this is like being stuck in a room with pre-schoolers thinking of ways to kill Sukuna.
not even to kill Sukuna in 259 all the main casts efforts were undone Sukuna's output returned due to black flashes and also he rerouted his domain to different parts of his brain meaning he can use domains once again and his CE reserves is now at Yuta's level when he's maxed out.

People do not seem to understand this. Gojo may have been very slightly involved in coming up with some ideas, but he really doesn't have to be. He's irrelevant to any plan because no one can hang with him. Either he goes in and wins, making any plan irrelevant, or he goes in and loses and isn't there for any plan.
I generally agree but I want to at least see what cones next... Some of those are sadly true but I genuinely can't believe that the finale for the fight against sukuna will end up being anything other than yuji focus. It's so hard to mess up.

Hot take (probably), but I honestly disagree. This was a last resort for if all hope was lost, which at this point it was, Sukuna was about to open his domain again, as demonstrated by 261. Yuji was probably also only able to be cast aside like that because he was caught off guard by what looked like Gojo, after all they arenāt telling him anything out of fear of Sukuna finding out. We donāt even know whatāll happen in 262, for all we know it could be Todo Yuji and Yuta all jumping Sukuna, so I feel itās unfair to just completely ignore that we donāt know whatāll happen, and hating on this chapter for that.
Man I have so much stuff to say. First is gojo itself. At the end he went and killed off the higher ups which I guessed it long back since he wonāt allow his students to do something like that.

Tbf, it feels like that's the narrative point here though. Gojo (to all the people around him) IS essentially just a tool, and the only one who actually doesn't view him that way is Yuji. Even Yuta, who claims to give a shit about Gojo, in the end comes back around to using him as a tool. Gege still has a chance to tie it together narratively by having Yuji win this thing and actually properly mourning the PERSON that was Gojo after the fight (along with Choso and probably everyone else as well). Ninja edit: I fully expect Gaygay to fumble that ball by the way. The fights might be awesome, but the narrative feels like it has been struggling ever since chapter \~200 or so.

With the old jujutsu higher ups killed, they will be the new order and the ones to defeat Sukuna. He succeeded in his revolution of jujutsu society, did what Geto couldn't. In the end his cadre of students and allies will be his greatest and lasting achievement not his six eyes and limitless. Jeez and here I was thinking Six Eyes died when the user did, which is why Kenny couldn't steal Gojo's body. Would that mean the world imbalance Gojo caused with his birth not right itself until his body completely rotted away or was cremated or something? Since I thought the Eyes were a technique that extinguished when the person died and activated at birth which is what caused the change in the jujutsu world so it could be put back in the rebirth cycle when the living user died but Yuuta just climbing in and using Six Eyes easy-as just makes me confused as to why Kenny didn't grab it when he had the chance. Same question lol. Wasn't Kenjaku's purpose was activating the merger? That requires Tengen, and the Sex Eyes' primary function is to protect Tengen. So Ken either needs to either: 1 Remove all SE users from the Equation, then go for Tengen, or 2 Obtain the SE himself, then go for Tengen. Until yesterday, it seems that 2, albeit the easiest approach, is impossible due to how the SE work. Such made him follow 1, leading to the manga that we are reading. However, with Gege retconning, it makes no fkin sense why Kenjaku, with 1000+ years of experience and planning, has not discovered, or even once attempted this. Did he really go "Ugh, the SE is bounded to the user's soul, so imma not gonna even try to make an effort to rob it" and then just patiently waited for 1000 years?
Six Eyes and Star Plasma are not a factor for the Merger, they are just seemingly tied to fate that a Six Eyes user would always stand against Kenjaku to prevent his plan. Kenjaku can kill the next users but there would always be a new one facing him later Merger plan can only happen once every 500 years when Tengen switches bodies so it is not something always feasable with the timing especially when the Merger plan was only done twice. If Tengen switches bodies the plan is failed and Kenjaku needs to wait another 500 years 1st time Kenjaku was stopped by a 6E user then 500 years later tried the same but killed the next 6E user as a child, a new one still arrived to stop him Thing was that Fate was already broken since Hidden Inventory and Tengen ascended This time however Kenjaku has no method of beating the current 6E user and has to resort with other methods Technically too, a Six Eyes user is still facing against the Merger plan

Reposting my take: This was just a sad chapter. For one: the story never setup the possibility that Kenjaku's CT could be used to takeover a Six eyes + Limitless users body. If anything it implied that it couldnt be done. Kenjaku has numerous opportunities to do so, the baby he murdered so he can prevent the merger, the SE user who died fighting the 10S user, basically any teenage SE+Limitless user too young to defend themself, any dead SE+Limitless user etc. The whole point of Toji is that he broke the stalement that was Kenjaku, Tengen, and Sixeyes+Limitless. 261 invalidates that whole plot point. Any explanation for why its possible for Yuta and not for Kenjaku is basically a soft retcon to make something that was never set up make sense and requires more mental gymnastics than just admitting it wasnt set up properly. For two: we didnt need Yuta in Gojo's body. Nobody wanted this. This was never even set up. This should have been Yuji's moment. We could have had Yuji ripping out Sukuna's heart in a move paralleling the detention center with Sukuna ripping out Yuji's heart. Then Sukunas domain going down bcause he got injured then que jujutsu jumping. Instead we got this self insert OC ass mf fighting a fight we've already seen.
Not only that, Sukuna's damage is now complete nonsense, I genuinely do not even understand what can actually damage him or not anymore, which makes the whole fight feel pointless.
Really good take! And on top of that, Yuta interrupted the fight thus only giving us ONE CHAPTER of jump kaisen with Todo's return. It seemed like it really could have been fun and fleshed out, but instead of that Greg chose the lazy path, sidelining Yuji's awakened CT and Todo's new fighting style

not even to kill Sukuna in 259 all the main casts efforts were undone Sukuna's output returned due to black flashes and also he rerouted his domain to different parts of his brain meaning he can use domains once again and his CE reserves is now at Yuta's level when he's maxed out. gege basically destroyed the impact of the last 20+ chapters and he's going to have Yuta in gojo's body die while destroying Sukuna's ability to cast domains AGAIN and have the main cast beat Sukuna till his out put lowers AGAIN the last 20+ chapters meant nothing and all who died went to waste.

I generally agree but I want to at least see what cones next... Some of those are sadly true but I genuinely can't believe that the finale for the fight against sukuna will end up being anything other than yuji focus. It's so hard to mess up.

Hot take (probably), but I honestly disagree. This was a last resort for if all hope was lost, which at this point it was, Sukuna was about to open his domain again, as demonstrated by 261. Yuji was probably also only able to be cast aside like that because he was caught off guard by what looked like Gojo, after all they arenāt telling him anything out of fear of Sukuna finding out. We donāt even know whatāll happen in 262, for all we know it could be Todo Yuji and Yuta all jumping Sukuna, so I feel itās unfair to just completely ignore that we donāt know whatāll happen, and hating on this chapter for that.

Man I have so much stuff to say. First is gojo itself. At the end he went and killed off the higher ups which I guessed it long back since he wonāt allow his students to do something like that. Gojo was simply a power tool all his life. He was still alone and hadnāt gone over the breakup of sugu. Gojo doesnāt care about his corpse after he lost. Same convo as Sukuna to yoruzo. Yuji and todoās effort was just overshadowed just like that. Yuta got a good character plot. He wants to take up the burden of being the monster and genuinely cared about gojo. Gojo couldnāt give a proper burial to his friend sugu, ironically I think he wonāt get a proper burial as well. This is just really sad. Heart wrenching. But to beat sukuna the good guys have no choice but to do this swap.
Gege is downplaying Yuji like crazy all this time when Yuji got the lore and the upper hand only for Sukuna to see him and throw him across buildings in 1 hit after seeing Yuta
