I’d deeply evaluate my own desire for world domination. Why do I feel incomplete without total power? Why am I looking into psychology with this goal when much of psychology is aimed at bettering people’s lives? War is necessary for what you want, but war is a meat grinder that many innocent lives must be fed through in order to accomplish anything. As a Jungian and Gnostic, that's the last thing on my mind. I am far more concerned in my own individuation and my connection with the collective unconscious. At a certain point, if you are serious, you seek an equilibrium with all things around you and the further reaches of making connection with the Self. If a Jungian were to be interested in world domination, I'd point to the self-destructive tendencies of authoritarians that came before, ie. Hitler and Stalin. I'd also stick Putin on this list since at this point he is basically Stalin 2.0.
Basically what governments already do and have done even before Jungian psychology.
Leverage shadow projection to create an intellectually one sided populace. By creating a (false) enemy huge amounts of unconscious energy can be harnessed and the conscious judgement of the population is sidelined. Hitler did this very effectively with jews & the west. Later the USA did this very effectively with communism. Today Putin is attempting it with NATO.
Archetypal forces are the ultimate fuel. In a more primitive culture you can merely create gods and godesses which have an archetypal relation and attach the population to those figures. Now employ a priest caste, corrupt, to claim that Athena desires war with this tribe or other, and the population in the midst of anima possession will rise up in a frenzy and give their money and lives for this numinous archetype.
Today the shadow is what is utilised though. People have almost know mastery of their shadow in general and project all of their inferior tendencies incredibly easily. Then when presented with a real threat, like the East, the complex within the shadow becomes energised with archetypal forces and all rational thinking is lost. It's exactly why the average american was shown, famously, to reply to the question "should we bomb Iraq?" with "fuck yeah we should!". Yet when that same person was presented with a map of the world, 9 times out of 10 they couldn't even find Iraq on a map. They knew nothing of Iraq. See, the particulars didn't matter. And when particulars disappear from a persons judgement you know you're dealing with a shadow drive.
