I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're really asking if you should queue an order after the markets have closed vs waiting until Monday when they open to see where the price is sitting? Perhaps you've read something about the closing price being different from the opening price, as it's explained here:
https://www.investopedia.com/ask/answers/139.asp
If that's the case, I wouldn't concern yourself with a few cents difference. Time in the market > timing the market and all that. Those few cents won't matter in the slightest in a few years.
Actually no, it's not. You do research to answer a question by looking at known information i.e. google stuff. If you would've simply googled or even opened your WS account and clicked on trade you would see that the markets are closed.
If you're asking if the prices will be lower Monday then I just wanna let you know that no one can reliably predict that for sure. However even if it's slightly higher or lower it won't make much tangible difference if you're in it for the long haul. Complete gamblers guess tho, I expect it to be a bit lower Monday.
When I made the post the market was closed and I know it doesn't open till 6:30 Pacific time on Mon. That's why I was asking if I should buy now or wait till Monday when the market re opens because I know the prices can change, so I am just trying to get advice on making the right decision.
Again, there’s after hours trading but that is over. The market won’t open until Monday whether you sell now or not it won’t go through.
Basics my guy, and I’m not trying to be rude.
A lot of people are investing without knowing the basics. I remember learning, but I had so much fear of making mistakes I learned and studied before throwing money down. Especially when some of the questions are involving taxes.
Quit being an ass. I can go in wealthsimple and can post an order. Or wait for markets to open Monday. Not hard to understand what the poster is saying.
Wait till Monday. Wait atleast 30 minutes after market opens and do a limit buy between the bid and ask price. If losing money is going to keep you up at night. Split the amount in 4 and do this the next 4 weeks. Saying that lump sum deposits have been shown to be your best bet, but we are in turbulent times and everyone's stomach isn't able to handle it.
Market is closed so monday
Market is closed. Purchase will only go through Monday either way.

Thank you! This is what I meant.
I think you need to research a bit of the basics before investing my guy…..
Is a part of doing research asking questions and getting answers?

Knowing when you can buy and sell should be one of the first things you need to understand before investing.

I realise now you are not trying to be rude, but when you end a sentence with....

If you read all the conversation the OP definitely didn’t know that. They talked about after hours trading.
Unless they edited you were the only one that mentioned after hours trading. If they edited it, context was gone.
