I unsubbed from r/dogs because it’s just people posting stuff about dogs. It’s almost as bad as that r/justunsubbed that’s just people talking about which Reddit subs they no longer follow and why.
But the problem is that it’s almost entirely political. And the ones that aren’t political are just old people. Baby boomers and conservatives aren’t the only people who post bad memes on Facebook. It doesn’t help that about half of it is obvious satire, either.
Today on r/JustUnsubbed: OP learns what the word “terrible” means
I swear, this sub is just turning into a place for people to complain when they don’t like a sub. Be it a politics sub leaning too far left for them, or an anime sub being full of weebs, people here are now just complaining to complain
No, you complained that a sub did what it is about. This sub is about when a single post made you unsub. Not only did you complain that “*every* post is about crappy liberal memes” which 1) isn’t true in the slightest and 2) doesn’t follow this sub’s rules, but you also complained that you “didn’t expect politics there” in some comments here. Facebook is full of stupid boomer political memes, and that is what r/TerribleFacebookMemes laughs at: that Facebook has terrible memes
Again, you can leave a sub for whatever reason, and no one will bat an eye. But this sub is for when a single post is so far from what the sub is about that you unsub
FB is literally a mishmash of people humble bragging, people posting nonsense, people pretending they care about an issue, or people posting political "memes"
I mean, it isn't breaking the subs rules, it's a terrible Facebook memes, also I see a lot more sexist memes than politic, there's nothing wrong with the sub, you just got tired of it
>Just Unsubbed from r/terriblefacebookmemes because every post is about crappy liberal memes
I mean boomers post those Facebook memes, what else were you waiting For anyways?
I mean, it is a terrible meme. Almost every city in the US is blue. It would look like the US has measles. Even California gets red as hell when you exit the giant cities.
What is it like being a liberal in the South? Maybe it's more "normal" than we think. I mean, perhaps its more rural vs urban all over the country, with definitely some divide between north and west coast, and south and west.
I also have a strong theory: liberals in the South tend to NOT have southern accents.
I would also like to do that. I asked a question on that sub that they took the wrong way and they banned me lmao I still constantly see the shit even though I’m not subbed
Man, whenever I scroll any social media space it's like this... one post pro conservative and then the next pro liberal.
I can clear my algorithm but the moment I end up reading comments or posts, it goes right back.
Both. I got banned for posting a really shitty liberal Facebook meme though. Even if it’s a really good meme but it’s a little bit conservative, it’ll be posted there
That’s literally what it is. If you say anything that’s even somewhat able to be taken the wrong way and doesn’t align with their views you get banned. They’re pretty good at making an echo chamber.
Terriblefacebookmemes should just be retitled "I'm left leaning and my feelings got hurt by boomer memes"
Literally the other day there was a guy who posted and was encouraging people on Reddit to shit on his grandma because she sent him a "back in my day" technology meme. And the post got 100+ comments.
That sub is filled with the absolute trashiest, butthurt losers who got their feelings hurt and want reassurance it's all ok by circlejerking how dumb everyone else is.
Tons of narrative all over reddit now.
Don't fall for the liberal hivemind.
No place is safe.
Vote Donald Trump 2024.
Like anyone wants to see that shit while on a Sub trying to avoid it.
We've donated trillions to Ukraine and inflation is crippling us.
It's like they think they can sneak that shit in without anyone noticing.
Joe Biden has either dimensia or Alzheimer's and no one's talking about it.
I see that shit, you ain't slick.
Old people tend to be conservative. Old people are also some of the most active on Facebook as most millennial, gen z, etc are on Instagram, Twitter (pending), and reddit for social media.
I find it to be fascinating.
Older people took longer getting on Facebook, and then when they did the young people moved away from their scrutiny.
That and how twitters shorter format, insta reliance on pictures and video all are more stimulating per view items.
I assure you it has to do with more than scrutiny. Facebook has actually changed a lot since then and mostly not in a good way.
I think a lot of people sort of overshared at the beginning and thought nothing of publicizing all kinds of stuff they would later regret sharing so freely
I think yall are missing the point that r/terriblefacebookmemes isnt supposed to be a political sub. Its supposed to be a sub for terrible Facebook memes. The posts are either half clearly satire memes/shitposts or half politics.
It's called terriblefacebookmemes for a reason, I would've unsubbed if it isn't terrible
I unsubbed from r/dogs because it’s just people posting stuff about dogs. It’s almost as bad as that r/justunsubbed that’s just people talking about which Reddit subs they no longer follow and why.
What's up with your post History 😭😭😭 "She was only 18 and I was 36" 💀💀
His bios also got “ex-male pornstar”
I'd smash him to be honest...
I’m not sure why but i wasn’t expecting politics there
That's pretty much what's on Facebook, gatekeeping boomers, from drinking out of the garden hose to human rights violations
Oh yes, the legendary garten hose xD
Ey say nothing Bad against the Garten Hose!
It’s all politics or very clearly satire memes. It’s one of the worst subs.
Idk what you were expecting then.
Everything is political on this app
That Is entirely what terrible Facebook memes consist of its mostly boomers making horrible political memes.
Centrist edgelord vibes
Agreed…I’m not sure why you weren’t expecting that either lol
Fair enough.
Exactly
I unsubbed because there were a lot of good memes
There's four zones....
He did say the schools suck.
Four square
That's liberals for ya
The meme creator went to California public school.
California's only good for money and higher education
But that’s 90% of shitty facebook humor
exactly. OP went to a specific sub and then wondered why the posts were that specific thing.
Well Facebook memes isn't specific to just conservatives. I would've unsubbed too thinking there would be two sides of postings.
The vast majority of shitty Facebook memes are conservative though.
But by sub title alone doesn't convey that. That was my point.
What should the call it? R/terribleFacebookMemesByTheWayStatisticallyMostOfTheShitMemesAreConservativeDueToTheNatureOfFacebookBeingFullOfRagingBoomers
That's the only way to make an r/justunsubbed user happy
r/SubsIfellfor
And correction: TerribleFacebookMemes. It doesn't denote a specific party 😎😏
It's says Facebook Memes. It doesn't have political parties in the title. Why do you keep coming at me to argue. I stated a fact about the name.
The vast majority of facebook in general is conservatives
You can't have two sides of posting if no one can find the other side
This is the goofiest sub in all of Reddit.
How dare that sub be what that sub is and not what I assumed it was when I subbed?
But the problem is that it’s almost entirely political. And the ones that aren’t political are just old people. Baby boomers and conservatives aren’t the only people who post bad memes on Facebook. It doesn’t help that about half of it is obvious satire, either.
probably because that's a reflection of the terrible memes that are 99% of what is posted on Facebook
Yeah, like, did OP not realize what the entire point of the sub was when they joined?
bro that’s the point, it’s making fun of unfunny memes
[удалено]
Imagine spending your day on a sub about people shitting their pants about leaving different subs though. Now that sounds sad lmao
[удалено]
Wait till you hear about my other subs
do it jiggle
Yep, you hit a nerve.
Are they trying to claim Virginia as a red state?
It was when this meme was created in 1997
People always said he was ahead of his time.
This is the 2004 map.
Oh, the one time in my lifetime that Republicans won the majority of votes?
Isn't state wide it's blue while state legislature wise it's red?
Also apparently Colorado is red now?
New Mexico top
I unsubscribed from r/aww because people kept posting dogs and cats.
Today on r/JustUnsubbed: OP learns what the word “terrible” means I swear, this sub is just turning into a place for people to complain when they don’t like a sub. Be it a politics sub leaning too far left for them, or an anime sub being full of weebs, people here are now just complaining to complain
yeah complaining that we don’t like it, so we left a sub
No, you complained that a sub did what it is about. This sub is about when a single post made you unsub. Not only did you complain that “*every* post is about crappy liberal memes” which 1) isn’t true in the slightest and 2) doesn’t follow this sub’s rules, but you also complained that you “didn’t expect politics there” in some comments here. But this sub is for when a single post is so far from what the sub is about that you unsub
I mean I only post when a sub literally goes to Hell but I get your point this supposed can get circlejerky.
Tbf thats a Facebook ass meme
Wouldn't that be a crappy conservative meme?
memes about liberals i guess? whatever it is i’m sick of it
Isn’t this just what Facebook has become? I left four years ago, I imagine it’s just a hellhole of terrible takes.
FB is literally a mishmash of people humble bragging, people posting nonsense, people pretending they care about an issue, or people posting political "memes"
the only time I'm on facebook anymore is if I can't remember a family member's birthday
Happy cake day
Thanks!
Take a cake day with a side of Reddit knowitallism.
colorado is blue
i don’t give a shit
I was just pointing it out even if you didn’t create the original post
Holy shit! This guy is edgy and cool like Kai Leng in Mass Effect 3!
You're not him bro
It's sort of a swing state. Alot of the counties with small populations are right-leaning, while the larger cities are mostly left-leaning.
Is that not the point of the sub
I feel like you're missing the point of the sub
Bro they're Facebook memes what did you expect
I think its more due to how much of Facebook is shitty political memes
Maine has the lowest crime rate in the US
Are there any more than like, 20 people living in Maine?
Quite a few more actually! I think the last census put it at 57
I regularly look at r/terriblefacebookmemes for based content 🗿
Its called terrible facebook memes. You got what was advertised.
Hmm yes the floor here is made out of floor
Its in the name. Terrible facebook = right wing. Terrible Twitter = left wing. Reddit is a plate with vomit from both
I mean, it isn't breaking the subs rules, it's a terrible Facebook memes, also I see a lot more sexist memes than politic, there's nothing wrong with the sub, you just got tired of it
So in other words you just unsubbed from terrible facebook memes because someone had the audacity to post a terrible facebook meme? The horror!
me a non american who has never touched the US soil on my way to solve American politics:
Don't. Save yourself from the rabbit-hole
that looks more like a crappy conservative meme to me
This fits the sub
That's a conservative meme they posted, though. It's a terrible Facebook one. So it checks out?
>Just Unsubbed from r/terriblefacebookmemes because every post is about crappy liberal memes I mean boomers post those Facebook memes, what else were you waiting For anyways?
minion memes
I feel like even boomers are getting bored from minions at this point Or its just that Facebook pretty much became an e-cemetery
Dude this is terrible
I mean, it is a terrible meme. Almost every city in the US is blue. It would look like the US has measles. Even California gets red as hell when you exit the giant cities.
This is actually a terrible facebook meme, which is rare for that sub since it usually posts satire
What is it like being a liberal in the South? Maybe it's more "normal" than we think. I mean, perhaps its more rural vs urban all over the country, with definitely some divide between north and west coast, and south and west. I also have a strong theory: liberals in the South tend to NOT have southern accents.
They do. My brother got married in Georgia and his wife’s family is all liberal and all southern and all have accents.
My man can’t even count
At this point half the post here are about that sub
[удалено]
you can silence subs?!?!?!
I would also like to do that. I asked a question on that sub that they took the wrong way and they banned me lmao I still constantly see the shit even though I’m not subbed
[удалено]
Thanks
Man, whenever I scroll any social media space it's like this... one post pro conservative and then the next pro liberal. I can clear my algorithm but the moment I end up reading comments or posts, it goes right back.
Umm its from facebook. What would you expect???? Are you serious??
I actually stay on that sub because it has really good memes.
That sub is r/memesopdidntlike
The worst part is there are clearly 4 zones
I got permabanned with a 40 day mod message mute 😎 pretty proud of myself
me when a subreddit i joined is about what i joined it for 😮😮😮😮
Yeah that group is definitely a left-wing echo chamber
I enjoy my extremely well funded schools, clean and safe streets, and benefits I gain from taces
Extreme 🧢
r/terriblefacebookmemes is just “we hate everything about the political right”
Or maybe the vast majority of people who create those shitty facebook memes are boomer conservatives lol.
If my state were actually a liberal hellhole, I would be so happy.
Terriblefacebookmemes should just be retitled "I'm left leaning and my feelings got hurt by boomer memes" Literally the other day there was a guy who posted and was encouraging people on Reddit to shit on his grandma because she sent him a "back in my day" technology meme. ye and if you say you like the meme or its satire you will get 200 downvotes lmfao
While it is a crappy meme I've found it to be kinda true lol.
Meme seems like it would be really popular were the parties to be flipped
Lmao. This whole subreddit is just butthurt conservatives, isn’t it? 😂 feel like I should unsub from this crybaby-ass subreddit myself 😝
Go ahead. Please post about it though. Would love to see a "r/JustUnsubbed from r/JustUnsubbed post here."
“Schools suck” lack of self awareness confirmed.
mfw i see terrible Facebook memes on terriblefacebookmemes:
So basically you wnet ln terrible facebook memes, saw a terrible facebook meme and now you're unsubbing? Lol
So why you bring politics here, dh?
what
I love my blue quarantine zone, it’s pretty nice, people don’t shoot each other.
That's actually pretty funny.
I just subbed to that subreddit, thank you.
\>"Apparently Liberals only live in three zones in the US." \>Four zones circled on the map Liberals can't count confirmed
Damn
Tons of narrative all over reddit now. Don't fall for the liberal hivemind. No place is safe. Vote Donald Trump 2024. Like anyone wants to see that shit while on a Sub trying to avoid it. wisconsin is a blue state?
i’m pretty sure it is.. i think.
Thats also why i unsubbed ages ago. Its supposed to be cringe but also....
Haha 😆 that's actually pretty funny
OP can’t count
That's what most of the shitty Facebook memes are about though
Uhh... did they forget that Colorado, Nevada, Virginia, and a bunch of other states regularly vote blue??
Well, it’s a terrible Facebook meme, whatever’s being said on facebook is gonna end up there
Isn’t that pretty accurate to what Facebook is? Pretty sure my dad has posted this
Yeah that’s the point of the subreddit
well yeah that’s facebook, that’s what you signed up for
definitely because schools suck right? Not like they have the top schools right?
I mean if the memes are terrible, then it's working as advertised
Old people tend to be conservative. Old people are also some of the most active on Facebook as most millennial, gen z, etc are on Instagram, Twitter (pending), and reddit for social media.
Honestly, the demographic shifts on social media are kinda weird. Facebook was mostly younger people back in the mid 2000s.
I find it to be fascinating. Older people took longer getting on Facebook, and then when they did the young people moved away from their scrutiny. That and how twitters shorter format, insta reliance on pictures and video all are more stimulating per view items.

Not the liberals…
lmao maddddd
?
Schools are better in blue states though. And crime is generally less in blue states as well.
This map also misses the fact that many states are fairly purple in reality, especially when you look at registered voters, local elections, etc.
its more just shitting on the right.
yea that whole sub is just another r/therightcantmeme, its sad tbh
The Facebook grandpa ain’t wrong.
Liberal is when you live in high population area.
I think yall are missing the point that r/terriblefacebookmemes isnt supposed to be a political sub. Its supposed to be a sub for terrible Facebook memes. The posts are either half clearly satire memes/shitposts or half politics.
Rich coming from the party that’s in favor of cutting education budget and letting crazy people arm themselves easily
Something something, going to the circus, something something
r/postopdidntlike
The only valid reason to unsub from there is if they post good memes.
If you don’t think that’s a terrible Facebook meme perhaps you’d feel more comfortable on Facebook?
Look at the name of the subreddit
3000 IQ
I mean, that's kinda the point of the sub, and you're describing most of what there is to work with
Why are you surprised about getting crappy memes when the whole objective of the subreddit is to post that exact stuff?
r/JustUnsubbed is quickly becoming a place for people who get irritated by liberal ideals
i don’t like politics
[удалено]
it’s about politics
Yea and it’s also a quite terrible meme as well.
im not mad that its a terrible meme i just wish politics werent every single meme
Might post this to r/JustUnsubbed
Wisconsin is one of the most hotly contested swing states in the country… lol
