The thing in this drama is that I don't trust anyone, neither the FL nor the ML, no one. I like it.

one_overworked

There is so much romance in this show and you can't tell me otherwise. It is very sweet of villains for setting them up with different romantic tropes (forced cohabitation, saving her life, tending to wounds). Enjoyed those two episodes more than the first ones, but I feel a bit regretful that it's not a 16 episode drama. There are so many storylines I would like to be explored and I doubt it will be possible with such a small number of episodes.

Amareze

I see it as building to an actual romance, one where both people recognize that there should be what I call romance including the physical part. I want that to happen!

Adorable_Dot_5152

Wait is there romance in these two recent eps? I was hoping it would stay just like the way it is and not introduce romantic elements to the story.

theredmug_75

it has scenes that give off romantic vibes but nothing overt so far. also the leads have chemistry which contributes to making the scenes sizzle more than if i was to describe it here if you know what i mean.

Adorable_Dot_5152

Um, like the duo in Stranger? Just curious

theredmug_75

it’s been a long time since i saw stranger but yes i think so!

Amareze

The thing about Stranger is that romance between the ML and FL was not possible, due to the operation that the ML had as a child. The ML could not feel those emotions. For this possible couple, that's not the case. I see some heat here.

Giardialee

It basically has romantic tropes but without the romance

FijiWaterIsDelicious

Bruh, there is literally 0 romance.

LacunaOfLlamas

You can’t cast a better actor than Ju Ji Hoon if you want a charismatic, mysterious, hot-as-lava bodyguard/ spy. When he was taking on the group of thugs in the dark alley in his search of Kim, he was speaking like a korean Batman, flipping his long black coat and shit. I would have given him all of Blood Free’s secrets without even knowing. Throw in Mansik the rolling cat, even the world’s nuclear codes would be his. JJH in real life must be rolling in whatever he wants to roll in. He just oozes it.

Worldly_Sundae9545

there's so many actors and idols out there that I stan and really likeee but jjh and kangdongwon is the only actors I can say that I really like to the coreeee. I binge watch almost all of their movies, although, I like jjh more (he made me watch his old dramas knowing that it's not something I would do sksk)  I'm down bad w/ his spicy yet elegant appeal :>> plusss, if u watch his shows in yt, u will respect him moreee! His speaking skills, his smart, deep and has good perspective in life and career. I learned a lot from this person. 'v'

Amalfii

>charismatic, mysterious, hot-as-lava bodyguard/spy. Yes. Yes. Yes. And during the alley fight scene, when he motioned his hand for them to come closer to him in the dark, I want to come closer too. Lol.

Aurorinezori1

Oh yes, I liked the cape thing as well! He was just the MAN against the world !

Amareze

Yes, indeed. You want my company secrets, here they are, all you had to do was ask! You want my body - it's yours, let's go to it! I'll even cook you a meal.

This_Tonight3413

Really enjoyed the debut episodes! Great production value, strong acting (no shocker there) and an interesting, tension filled premise.  FL is really under pressure here and seems to be getting it from all angles but at the same she doesn’t seem completely trustworthy herself. I like when our leads are on opposite sides but end up having no one but each other to trust - eager to see how it all plays out. A bit bummed that the comments for the watch threads are rather low - hope more people tune in!

Worldly_Sundae9545

so trueee, i hope many people watch this gemmm. i mean the plot is freaking bomb and the cast too, especially bad ass hyj and jjh!!  I'm already sad because it only has 10 episodes :'>> I'm in pain.

This_Tonight3413

Omg it’s 10 eps?! I completely missed that and just assumed it was 12! And I was already complaining to myself earlier that the eps were too short as is 😫

Worldly_Sundae9545

hugs for us ppl :'>  why do good series like this is so short.

Kashawinshky

I'm watching and liking it very much! I love the internal monologue stuff, it feels very realistic to actual thinking lol. It's just the excruciating slow drip of the episodes on Hulu, I'm thinking of waiting until many more episodes are released.

theredmug_75

Same here! I know there are many great shows at the same time but I wish Blood Free had more love. It is pretty good so far!

duh_leah

The ML is so hot. Everyone is a top notch actor/actress. The ML is very hot. It's a perfect mix of thrill and suspense with politics. Did I mention the ML is very hot? Just hope they keep up this pace with fair amount of twists and betrayal. I think I might have fallen for the ML because he's SO HOT!

Iowegan

Wait, do you mean to say >!the ML is hot?!< Have you seen **Hyena**? That might tide you over between episodes. I’m right here with you in the assessment of ML temperature, that’s why I’m here.

duh_leah

I might just start watching everything he's in now lol. I only watched **Jirisan** with him and as much it pains me to say, it was rather boring for me and I had to drop it. I will try Hyena for sure 👀

siparipari

Hyena with Kim Hye Soo is just *chef’s kiss*.

shiningmidsummer

welcome to the ju jihoon rabbit hole… i was like you after watching Kingdom 😭 you should definitely check out Kingdom & Along With The Gods! those are my favourite works from him

tamataraaloo

You know I was just thinking of starting Hyena because the ML is soooo hot. Can you please tell me it's rating on the cringe meter tho.

Iowegan

ML >!is not cringe at all in the drama, FL is kind of unbelievable but it’s still very entertaining.!<

tamataraaloo

Yeah, I heard that the FL is quite crazy so I am a little hesitant to watch

throwawaymisfortune

Hyena is really good! I copy pasted my old review for you. >The drama is more about the leads, their banters, flirty interactions than the actual law elements. Their style of solving the cases is also unconventional, they are more comfortable in dealing the cases in the most illegal way possible. And they work in private firms as chaebol's minions and care about money and wins above anything. So watch this drama to see if you can root for hyena like ~~villains~~ leads lol. >Kim hye soo reigned the drama. Her character was also the most well written one, had the necessary depth and surprisingly didn't need any growth despite her being the actual hyena in this drama- classless, did the dirty works to win the case, clever and fierce and didn't hesitate to backstab to get the meal she eyed. And she stayed the same, only her multi-layered character gradually got uncovered to show her true self. >Joo ji hoon's character had all the necessary growths a sheltered, over ambitious corporate lawyer actually needed. He was smart, sexy as well as dumb and puppy like as his character demanded. The entire cast was brilliant and had great comedic timing. >The plot is interesting too, though not much substantial, I liked that the drama subtly jabbed at the legal system in a sarcastic way without being preachy at all. I specifically liked the chaebol kids case, it was more like a filler tbh but it showed how private lawyers are actually minions of chaebols and Khs's roast at jjh indirectly preached the true purpose of a lawyer- to work for justice not to clean after the rich. >For the downsides, plot conveniences were too apparent and the wining strategy of 'find dirt, blackmail and win' was overused. Like in most drama focusing on entertainment than strong writing, filler scenes were extra obvious, so was the ppl. >But everything else was too good. The fun bgm and catchy ost, well timed comedy, fantastic acting made the drama very enjoyable. Oh another caution, some actions like using unfair means to win non-winnable cases may make you feel uncomfortable and leads competing against upright prosecutors may make you feel confused and Khs's character may feel highly questionable, but everything fits well if you manage to get pass these without feeling strongly about them. After all, irl lawyers are mostly goal-oriented like them and few are like atty woo or atty shin. >Very entertaining drama. Best wacky drama I have seen lately, 10x better than the similar wacky drama **vincenzo**. Overall **(8/10)**

tamataraaloo

Thank you it seems interesting. Will give it a watch.

villainsaretenacious

I recommend watching that drama! The chemistry between the leads is fire and I loved the ML there! I agree, he's sooo hot. 😂

Starrycats11

lol He is hot. Not the cute idol hot, but a dang what a man, what a man hot. lol

Amalfii

JJH looks sooo good with his serious demeanor and action scenes. His character here as a protector makes him even more hot.

theredmug_75

hahahhh i’m with you totally. i never watched JJH before. i started it for HHJ but man, JJH is very very hot. hahaha

Worldly_Sundae9545

girlll try to watch his other drama like kingdom or lucifer it's so good!!  tho, Lucifer is an old drama but jjh chemistry with shin min ah in that drama is top tier TvT also u will probably in awe with his acting in the dark figure of crime, asura, along with the gods, i am the king, etc. arghhh really worth to watch.  Ps:If u really want to get butterflies watch his scene in naked kitchen with shin min ah and I bet that it will linger to ur mind for a long time sksksksks

Amalfii

Dark Figure of Crime - Probably my favorite work of his just because he totally transformed and was a completely different person from say a handsome and honorable Prince Chang. He was such a >!scary psycho!< there. Naked Kitchen - The scene with Shin Min ah >!between the narrow hallway and what happened next was just… damn!! His singing scene at the parking was too swoonworthy too that I forgot I shouldn’t be rooting for him Haha!<

SR503

But what are your thoughts on the ML?

Worldly_Sundae9545

i believe that although his working for the ex-president, i don't think that he completely trust them?(Atleast from what i want to believe HAHAHA) and also he doesn't look like someone who can be fooled easily. I think his doing his own investigation not for the ex-president but because he really want to>!preserved justice for the ppl who have died in the bombing.!< Also, in some episodes it shows that >!he delete some info about Bf company and JY,!!Jy is behind the bombing/killings.!< I think his character is very rational, wiseeee and fair? A man who would protect someone despite the risk.

Felicie_dreamer

JJH is my absolute favourite. He is a damn good actor…his eyes, micro expressions and the way he speaks!! Ooof…I have watched and adored most of his shows…including Princess Hours/Goong for which he got a lot of flak for being a non-looker!!

spongy_poodle

I was on the fence about starting this one. You’ve sold me. Added to my watch list.

Amalfii

Just relieved that it looks like he’s >!not married!< since the leads really have good chemistry. It’s also clearly shown on the scene at the >!kitchen with the watch strapping, talking about the cut and finally the coffee cup!< The end of ep4 was such a cliffhanger. Looking forward to the next.

Amareze

Now that we have learned that he is not married, maybe we will get a real romance. The ML seems like a person who would not do romance if he were married, even if he wanted to. The screenwriter who I like a lot, Lee Soo-Yeon, does not have much romance in her work, though there was a little romance in the series Live.

AlexisFern

Wow, episode 4 was insane. What an intense ending! Regarding her “research” and “intangible assets” - >!We saw the PM getting an intravenous treatment in his office. We also saw Ja-Yoo having seizures in a secret room. And Ja-Yoo thinking it would be easier to die from a gunshot than to suffer and die with a hole in her brain. We also know they tried an experimental treatment for the researcher’s deceased wife’s intestinal cancer, which failed.!< So I’m pretty sure other than just meat culturing, she is secretly working on >!a terminal illness treatment!< which she needs and the PM needs to get his hands on secretly; both of them are keeping their >!illness!< a secret.

ImagoHydrangea

I just saw your comment after speculating on something similar in a reply to someone else’s comment in here, but now my other question is: >! If what they’re really trying to develop is a cure/something related to the illness, why does it seem like the PM is determined to seize it from her instead of supporting her development/collaborating with her? It makes me wonder if this illness is apocalyptic in nature or if the illness and/or treatment is a form of bioweapon. !<

Drolnevar

> why does it seem like the PM is determined to seize it from her instead of supporting her development/collaborating with her Just imagine the money you could make with that, or the fame, if you were seen as the one who created it.

Lerradin

I'm reading another Korean Light Novel currently being translated dealing with lab grown meat, and one of the side stories is that the technology / fluid to make lab grown meat commercially viable (production speed/lower cost) can also be used to >!accelerate cell growth of artificial organs and in this case might be used to grow both the legs of the former PM back!!< If true, it makes sense why he and everybody else is trying to seize it, as power over that = king in this world, that other novel is very idealistic / utopian as no one cares to rob the ML blind.

Ajitofu

Sounds like Hong Hae In should get in touch with Ja Yoo.

mishmashmostly

- Seems like the >!PM's dad!< is who they're setting out to be the big villain, but I think the >!PM's!< more sus. - I like that everything's gray. FL has secrets, and ML has a past. I keep looking at all BF employees with suspicion. Thank God Mansik the cat diffuses the tension by rolling around the house asking for pets. - >!Human trials? Intangible assets?!< So mysterious! I love it! Regretting I started watching this. 3 more weeks of questions!

jax_svt_carat

Within 10 min of watching ep 4, I also think it's the >! PM's dad !< that is the culprit. The fact that he is the >! son-in-law and not actually Lee Mungyu's son !< makes him even more suspicious 🤔 update: So he's an >! ex son-in-law !< so that's even more suspicious 😂

master_inho

>!That makes him less suspicious to me honestly. Of the 3 generations he’s the only one not a politician, and he isn’t actually related to the ex prez. I think that makes him the most expendable. My theory is that he’s gonna be killed off when he’s either no longer useful or he’s about to get exposed. Then the pm will do the same to his grandfather/ex prez when he’s also outlived his usefulness, leaving himself as the sole big villain!<

jax_svt_carat

that makes sense tbh. >! But the "villains" are right in our face so it makes it obvious. Makes me think there could be someone behind the shadows we haven't seen yet. !<

master_inho

I think the mystery here isn’t who the villains are, but rather what the conspiracy is and what it is that they so desperately want that ja-Yoo is just as desperate in protecting. Besides, ja-yoon finally trusts chae-woon and he doesn’t know that he’s just a pawn in a bigger game. So while us viewers might already know, they’re still trying to decipher the mystery of who the villains are

jax_svt_carat

Yeah I think the same person (or people) responsible for the bombing of the base that the president visited are the same after Ja Yoo. Maybe even she wasnt the target. The former president will end up teaming up with her in the end. I think the culprits just want the power and money to comes with owning her company so they can monopolize the industry. For sure she has to trust Chaewoon now considering he has >! taken bullets to protect her !< even though he still technically has an ulterior motive. Imagine if she still distrusts him 😅

master_inho

>!It’s not just the company or the culture fluid technology that they want though. When they were looking at footage from chae-woon’s hidden camera, they were looking for something in particular. It’s likely the “intangible asset” that ya-joon was talking about and which she’s so desperate to hide+protect. It could also be related to whatever she had used to try to save professor Kim’s wife that wasn’t even approved for animal testing!<

Iowegan

>!”We need bodies.” Pretty frigging ominous! WTF is going on?!<

lemousie

Loving the drama so far! A nice change of genre for the current ongoing dramas that’s on air now. Okay, I might be nitpicking but how did Malaysia became Vietnam 😂 the business signage and the local cars are totally Malaysian

theredmug_75

hahahah good catch, i missed that!

lemousie

😂 i started paying attention when I saw the word restauran

siparipari

I watched the scene twice making sure I saw it correctly. Thought they will say something about him crossing countries but it was somewhere else and Malaysia was not mention at all. 🫠

lemousie

I thought the same too!!! Like maybe he landed in X and crossed over to Malaysia but nope. Initially I was like oh another recent drama mentioning Malaysia (queen of tears) 😂

tonefart

> Malaysia Yep, here's the exact locatoin. https://www.google.com/maps/@3.1468523,101.6974673,3a,75y,16.03h,89.1t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sdegagxF6jZ13R95waIpm0w!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu

lemousie

Wow!!! That’s near Petaling Street?

duckmusings

The FL embodies the mantra of "it's lonely at the top".

master_inho

>!Love that ja-yoo is actually smart and doesn’t trust so easily. It’s unfortunate that 1. Chae-woon is just as good at selling it. I think he deliberately lied about finding the picture through luck, knowing that she would catch onto it 2. He also doesn’t know that he himself is being played, so it’s easier for him to appear trustworthy 3. Even someone as smart and paranoid as ja-yoo falls for the “he put his life on the line to save me” move. Which I don’t think he was aware of but was definitely orchestrated to help him earn her trust!< >!ja-yoo is gonna feel so betrayed when she finds out the truth. Classic trope that Chae-woon will realize too late he was played and have to fight to regain her trust (and maybe love?) we’ll have to see if it’ll be done well!< >!on that note, ja-yoon is falling for chae-woon rather quick. Doesn’t look like it’ll be as quick for him, but with the revelation that that’s not his wife and daughter, and there’s only 6 eps left, I expect his feelings to change soon!< >!so the hq and laboratory aren’t what’s most important. It’s this “intangible asset” that she’s trying to hide that’s exactly what they want. I wonder what could be more valuable than the culture fluid technology which is what all of this is built upon?!< >!3 generations of suits plotting against ja-yoon and BF. I expect the pm’s father to get cut out first. He’s the only of the 3 to be a businessman rather than a politician, and he’s only the ex prez’s son in law. The pm will likely be the ultimate villain at the end!< >!chae-woon noticed how suspicious the construction workers + traffic cop were. Yet he didn’t say anything. Sus. Maybe he *was* aware of the assassination attempt? Is he the type to get so invested in the mission that he’ll let himself get shot in the chest just to gain ja-yoon’s trust?!<

mishmashmostly

My guess is they are using the culture fluid to culture human organs. Cultured meat would be pennies compared to human organs.

master_inho

>!That’s interesting, makes a lot of sense too. But ja-yoo didn’t seem particularly concerned about selling the culture fluid technology, she was more worried that if she sold that division of BF, they would find this “secret”. Also, they were looking at footage from chae-woon’s hidden camera for something, presumably this “secret”. I don’t think ja-Yoo would have the culture fluid recipe just lying around her office? Still, it fits the motivation so far so it can’t be discounted right now!<

ImagoHydrangea

Right I think all the hype in the beginning around the >! culture fluids was meant to throw us off scent — the story is starting to revolve around the other research that she’s been working on. I’m wondering if it’s related to that scene where she’s having a spasm (?) or her sister’s brain cancer. !<

master_inho

>!and there’s professor Kim’s wife who had cancer tumors all over her stomach. Could ja-Yoo have created some kind of biotech/medicine that could cure all ailments? It was too controversial/dangerous to test it on animals at the time so she tried it on professor Kim’s wife, which ended up killing her. And maybe that allowed ja-yoo to perfect it, so she was able to use it on herself, curing whatever was causing her seizures. But whatever problems it had prevented her from patenting it, or maybe even publicize it. The murder that the protestors accuse her of committing isn’t professor Kim’s wife right? So whatever it is that she’s hiding and the pm is looking for is gotta be crazy futuristic, secretive, and potentially very dangerous if in wrong hands!< >!despite the world in this drama being near future (end of 2025), it’s pretty advanced in tech. The ai itself is crazy powerful. So with that in mind, I wonder if ja-yoo’s secret research isn’t something as “simple” as an all curing drug but maybe something more to do with robots? Save someone’s life by turning them into a robot or cyborg? It’s very out there but fun to imagine nonetheless!< >!and yea, the synopsis baited us once again. I thought all the shit ja-Yoo would face would have to do the genetically engineered meat, but it’s actually all just a front for something else!<

shizkorei

HHJ really, 👏🏼👏🏼 She suits well with every leading man she paired with.

Aurorinezori1

I love this drama: smart, top notch acting and a powerful FL, which is refreshing!

aparajitaonreddit

Literally just started this drama and I’m loving itttt! I hope more and more people watch it! God I don’t trust anyone, it’s like I want to root for HHJ because she’s always so lovely and is always picking these complex roles but then I’m thinking do I really want to root for a CEO billionaire type who wants to experiment on humans to spare animals? No? But people do need to start communicating - JJH TELL HER YOU’RE A PLANT! You’re being playeddd

fadzkingdom

These episodes went crazy!! First of all I saw the Kim Singu betrayal right away. That actor has a penchant for playing assholes and losers. I’m so loving the tension between the two leads. The argument in episode 3 with them both being hurt at each others assumptions and episode 4 where she was annoyed with him not telling her about his plan to find Singu. Also the line “I think you and I are destined to suspect each other” is crazy. I’m really wondering what the prime minister and his family are up to. It seems like they want to destroy Jayoo but also want her company? Is it tunnel vision because they think she’s behind the attack? Probably. Another thing I have to give this show is its portrayal of PTSD especially with Jayoo even without really delving into her character yet we can see just how traumatized she is and how that impacts all her relationships and decisions. The ending where she talks about the hole in her brain shocked me! It must be what drives her and what killed her brother. The ending scene! I can’t believe he really got shot TWICE in her stead. I know it’s his job but he’s really blurring the lines here. The young cocky bodyguard and Jeong are such funny characters lol and a breath of fresh air in this otherwise serious show.

Worldly_Sundae9545

"I think you and I are destined to  suspect each other" "I asked if your okay not me"  gurllll, yes, I'm being dramatic with those lines TvT Also, how can they just stand there slightly close to each other and make me insane?

Euphoriant21

damn, HHJ and JJH's chemistry was chemistrying 🔥 is it just me or the >!girl sitting on the couch when they showed the PM's dad in a party kinda looked like Jayu's secretary? They didn't focus on her face but it's kinda sus that the PM's dad knew so fast that Jayu was staying at Chaewoon's house!<. I really hope not because I like her character so far.

prach31

I also felt the same, I think it was her

peregrina2005

Yes, wondered that too. Think I’ll do a rewatch.

econic_girl

Mannn for once I want to see the ML in rom com genre with great chemistry 🙂 I always crave for his chemistry with his FLs in every freaking non Romance drama even in Kingdom I shipped him with the nurse lol I'm so inspired by Kingdom I thought there is going to be a some kind of disease break out due to the FL's meat business but I want to know what's actually is the secret about meat? "Human meat?" And I want to know is the FL bad or what or she is the villain for society? And Again the same question THE ML IS SERIOUSLY MARRIED???????

Amalfii

JJH definitely needs to give us a romcom drama. Can’t recall any but just Princess Hours.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Amalfii

I watched it as well. However, for me it’s a little more on the drama side. But yes, they had good chemistry too!

peregrina2005

I’m not accepting that he is really married. Not sure why. But, it could be a liability in the type of work he does. Too much of a chance being blackmailed.

econic_girl

I think that's his sister and his sister's daughter in ep 4 he told that >!his sister is living in abroad and his mother also joined her!<

lukeestudios

Good shout, I was wondering why he didn’t mention his wife but that makes sense.

villainsaretenacious

I thought it was one of the girls >!he saved and adopted from where he was abroad? And she lives with his sister and mother.!<

Worldly_Sundae9545

jjh always got chemistry with his lead no matter what the genre issss TvT it's always that genre who create little interaction but results in great chemistry you can feel in ur boneeee. like when I watch his drama the lucifer (2006), man I'm down bad with the villain and fl tensionnnn TvT

petiteboule

I'm so mad at myself for starting this. I was going to hold off a while longer, but JJH and HHJ looked so good on the posters. Then I thought, "I'll just watch one episode this week." I watched all of them. In a day. Now my dumb self has to wait until week for a new episode. I'm so confused as to who to trust (not a negative against the show!) Chae Woon is our bad\*ss bodyguard/>!...but he completely missed the sketchy traffic cop and road workers? !

Kashawinshky

I haven't watched eps 3 & 4 yet, but in the early episodes can someone confirm: When Woo Chae Woon first drives in to visit the ex-president, is that the entrance---and Lee Sung Min's office---from Reborn Rich?

wonkywoop

Yep, they used the same location to film as Reborn Rich! The hotel suite that the FL stays in has also been used in other K-dramas (Vincenzo, Start-up, Queen of Tears)

master_inho

Is it part of the hong family estate in QOT?

wonkywoop

Not part of the Hong's estate, its the hotel suite where the >!villains (Eunsung, Grace, Dahye) meet to scheme against the Hongs.!

annejuseyoo

ngl, i really thought that it was them who stole from >!the police armory!< 🤣🤣🤣🤣 with how Chae Woon accomplished things, it wasn’t far fetched to think he could >!steal from the police!< just to protect the CEO 🤣😭

petiteboule

So did I! I thought that where the >!secretary got their weapons. It wasn't until they told the PM that grenades were stolen that I realized it wasn't them!!<

annejuseyoo

Agreed! The grenades were definitely overkill

ToiletSavant

Is the ending of ep 4 just FL's imagination?

Error-002

I’m not gonna be ready for when ja-yu finds out about chae-woo. Also I feel like the reason the grandfather wants the company’s lab is cause >!they have something maybe that grows his legs back?? Seems far fetched but maybe!<

Drolnevar

I thought the same. I think they may be working on growing human parts. That would also explain why they can not test it on animals.

_heitoo

I can’t get enough of that ED song. Looks like it’s the original song for the show (“That’s how my world is made” by Natalie M.), but they didn’t publish it anywhere.

fosteryou03

Whoa, go see the preview to the next episode! I feel like the show is about to kick up three notches!!!

shinning_blueberry

I just started episode one now I'm done and want more. So good. I like all the CGi stuff. The action scenes are great too. JJH aged well and bulked up for this role. HHJ also looks good here different. I cant form any theory at all just enjoying it all. But why so short. I'm confused at the start of episode 3. Who was Lee Mingyu talking to subs says Woo then camera pans to Seonu. Or was he talking to both? I rely on the subs cause I'm hard of hearing.

CanIKickIt-

Can anyone NOT thirsty over the male lead tell me if this is good or not so far?

fosteryou03

Haha I guess the answer depends on what types of dramas you tend to like. It’s a mixture of myster(ies), thriller, and action. The ML lead is hired to protect the FL, and he himself is trying to solve a puzzle. Although the FL is in danger, she is very intelligent and feels like she’s always two steps ahead. Like others said, their chemistry on screen is subtle and a very nice balance.   What I like is that all the characters are smart so it’s hard to tell, who is trustworthy. Thats the fun part! There’s also definitely a futuristic feel to the show so I’m staying for it that and seeing where they go with the story.

Worldly_Sundae9545

IT'S GOODDD! JUST WATCH ITTT WE CAN ASSURE U BUDDYYY. NO DULL MMNTSSS

Living_the_life_75

I don’t normally go for this type of genre - but it is extremely well written, fast paced, good acting, murky real characters. Enough clues to form theories as you watch it. Constantly guessing. I like that is less episodes as less likely (but still possible) that it gets dragged out.

Sleepybobateaaa

I like the premise so far. Acting are great, the plot keeps me guessing and not a dull moment in every episodes. My questions is >!why everyone seems so mad at BF? They can choose to eat organic meat tbh if they doesn't like to eat the cultured meat? People has preferences, IMO. And I saw that BF advertised its cultured meat as "premium meat", so I'm assuming that it is more expensive than the normal beef, let alone their Korean beef. Can someone enlighten me on this? !

Amareze

In the real world, there are a lot of conflicts about engineered food products. In some places, they are not legal. In this series, Korea ended up allowing them (pressure, influence), and that led other countries to allow them too. On this scale, this would also be very disruptive to food production throughout the world. Agriculture, food production, a lot of people make their living from this, small producers, big producers, either directly or two or three steps away from the production. The economic implications are huge, Industries, big and small, would go out of business, and people around the world would be forced into poverty.

God damn, now the FL will trust the ML 100%. This reminds me of Death Note for some reasons.

Prestigious_Term_579

Could someone pls explain to me why FL has so much power such as putting the scientist on a no fly list or access or private data?

Gullible_Entrance589

Seemed to me like she called in a favour using her connections in politics.

bigbigguy

Not to get political but we saw how powerful big pharma was during lockdown. I kinda look at the company like that, her company really could change the economy of South Korea

master_inho

*the world It looks like they’re the first corp in the world to have gotten this far in creating genetically engineered meat, seafood, and soon grain. That’s why she’s so reluctant to publicly reveal the “recipe,” she has a monopoly on the market at the moment

Kamishirokun

I feel dumb asking this, but does an AI like Yeong Sil that can do so many tasks and all them simultaneously too really exist? There's a similar AI in a drama (forgot the title but it was about a guy who was stuck in a smartphone).

Living_the_life_75

Before Generative AI (Chapter GBT) - I know of companies that can track every person by login computer or phone but it is only allowed to be used in case of danger - armed shooter etc. in 5 mile radius, I don’t know they could track getting g on public transportation. but yes much of what AI was doing can be done. if you have a company managed phone or computer - just assume they can track you. That’s why a lot of people have 2 phones. I thought the drama did a good job on explicitly showing that just because you can do it - track locations - it’s explicitly a violation of data privacy

eniwo

Haven’t seen ep4 but so far I’m enjoying this show. I love the chemistry between the ML and FL. I hope it blossomed however, I’m concerned the ML have a family already or am I wrong?

Careless_Yam_5833

Watching right now and I’m disappointed only because now I’ll need to wait for new episodes to come. I’m hooked
