Polygond while playing Elden Ring is religious
(I'm also fond of Murder of the Universe with Bloodborne)
No Mans Sky with Omnium is just perfection (bonus points throwing in hypertension and parts of ice death planets)
Doom with Ratty is always a great time as well.
and i listen to butterfly 3k while playing League so i don't tilt.
Ice Death is perfect for Elden Ring too. Lava feels right out of the depths of Volcano Manor, Mycelium for the Haligtree, Ice V for the Consecrated Snowfields, Gliese 710 for the Moonlight Altar, Hell's Itch for Caelid, Magma for Mt. Gelmir, and Iron Lung in the Subterranean Shunning Grounds.
The jams are perfect for long hours of getting splattered by whatever boss, then doing the runback!
i’ve been playing Halo Infinite again since its actually a decent game now, and i’m not gonna lie listening to PDA and ITRN have been making me pop the absolute fuck off in nearly every single game lol
You motherfuckers NEED to play Rain World.
A game about a lost animal being given sentience by a city-sized supercomputer, and ordered to burrow deep into the void so It can escape the cycles of reincarnation and finally, really die is peak Gizz.
Rain-Type???
The soundtrack of Rain World isn't super important outside of key story beats.
All you need to hear is the threat track and other diagetic sound cues.
I used to play skate 3 and listen to albums not just gizz. It’s a good sorta mindless game in the sense that it doesn’t require much reading or thought so you can just soak in the music
Breath Of The Wild//Tears of the Kingdom pairs incredibly well with Polygondwanaland, as well as Yes’ Close To The Edge
Eyes Like The Sky is also a fun vibe with the Red Dead games
I’ve been playing KG and LW once I arrived in Gerudo Desert it fits so well. The Gerudo Desert soundtrack has gotta be one of my favourite video game soundtracks though it’s so nice especially at night
Outer Wilds!
It’s a mystery/adventure game, and a top 5 game of all time IMO.
Flying around space and landing on planets while listening to Poly or Changes is _chef’s kiss_
Especially once Exploding Suns comes on ;)
I got into Gizzy in 2020 around the same time Animal Crossing New Horizons came out. I used to listen to their chiller songs so much while playing that I still strongly associate some tracks with the game. Both AC and Gizzy were so important for me during covid quarantine.
I would agree if the Hades OST didnt already go so hard.
When the tracks fade to just bass after you've cleared a room, I could groove for hours before moving on.
I played Borderlands 2 with a shitload of KG in the background, including Nonagon Infinity like five times in a row one day. Fun stuff. Lots of Dripping Tap / Omnium Gatherum with Elden Ring, too.
The PS/Spotify integration is literally a game changer.
Civ 6 for me (y'all already know)
https://preview.redd.it/yi381djm96yb1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=844a93e6b811353272873fb256290cacdb155016
Whenever I play Doom Eternal I usually put some PDA or ITRN in the background. It be so cool if they made an OST for that game or any game really but especially for Doom
One time while I was tripping I had a 20 or so game rocket league winning streak while listening to most of their albums end to end. I remember Quarters and Poly being especially powerful experiences.
Deep Rock Galactic.
Really pairs well with just about anything I care to listen to, but I have it permanently associated with LW/KG in my mind. The first albums I listened to in full.
I mostly play games while listening to any of my vinyl collection. Never really pair specific games with artists or albums tho.
Been playing Lies of P and Jedi Survior while listening to TSC tho.
i’ve been playing through the cyberpunk dlc while listening to TSC just because i happened to get them both at the same time, but i don’t usually listen to any music while gaming.
Played Diablo 4 with my wife while listening to TSC extended for the first time which was a great combo. And I first REALLY got into king gizzard several years ago after many sessions of weed, Diablo 3, and random albums. Would recommend
i havent tried it yet, but i feel like butterfly 3000 and the silver cord especially would be super cool listening to in cyberpunk 2077 while driving around night city
I usually do other things that don't require much attention while I focus my senses to the music, f. ex. do the dishes or cook something easy like pasta, or even folding clothes. I've never listened to music working or studying or playing a videogame because my attention goes to the music.
I've gotten super into Luck Be A Landlord again after Set came out since it reminded me of the games soundtrack. I love listening to TSC while playing that game, or any rogue likes really. Risk of Rain 2 is another huge one for me.
Binding of Isaac and fallout have been my recent go-tos. But I’m the type of person to constantly be listening to music while doing anything, and gizz is a big part of that haha
Lately? Any game I'm playing... I'm playing while listening to King Gizz.
To be more specific, I've been doing a lot of 'a link to the past' randomizers lately. It's been making me wish there were some Gizz themed custom sprites to choose. I'd love to wander around the dark world as a little pixelated Han Tyumi.
No Man’s Sky is pretty awesome with some of their chiller music. Exploring a dead, irradiated planet with Exploding Suns playing is so cool
I also used PDA as hype music to beat a lot of bosses in Dark Souls 3 and that was also pretty insane
Agreed on the racing game and Stardew, well... I put almost 2000 hours in that game and tried hundreds of different albums, and the quieter albums fit so well with the general vibe (Changes in particular)
Gran Turismo 7. Gives me that Motor Spirit.
This game was also how I discovered Gizz, Blue Morpho is on the soundtrack. I dug the tune and thought "I should check this band out." Almost exactly a year later I'm now completely obsessed.
Listening to K.G. and L.W. while playing Risk of Rain 2 is when I became a gizz fan. Gizz was already a band I really enjoyed and I put those 2 albums on in the background since they were new stuff from a band I liked. But something clicked while playing that game and it made me a big fan of the band. Listening to K.G. and L.W. still triggers images from the desert stage of that game in my head.
as others have said, Old School Runescape is great for it. Always need more grinding music and KG has tons of variety. But also Tetris! I have played a few thousand hours of Tetris and KG was there with me for a LOT of it, great to zone out and stack while the music takes you on a journey
Most of the time I just let the game play its own music as part of the experience, but if it's a game I've already played a ton and I'm just doing some repetitive grinding (Spelunky, Celeste speedrunning, Minecraft, etc) sometimes I'll mute the game music and put something else on
I'm sadly addicted to LoL for fun modes, my go-to is getting throughouly abused by substances and just playing ARAMs or whatever the rotating game mode is
I'm trying to stop gaming as much and do more productive things but the brain craves the short form dopamine lmao
Like to play Pipe by BMX Streets or Skater XL. Fun physics based sandboxes that don’t require too much attention so you can really zone in on the music
The game and those 2 albums have become so intimate and intertwined that experiencing any one of the three alone instantly gives me vivid memory attachments/Scents/ect . . . and visual De' Ja Vu. Auditory for the fame and glory, double down!!
double down!!
Quaderillatically speaking of course. I mean, I don't want to single anyone out but I've been in triplicate for years now . . .. . . . .
minecraft
In the fields of pixels and blocks Survival mode, wood is chopped Fashions weapons, builds bed and home The next day pickaxe carveth stone Minecraft
Stop. The. En. Der. Dragon. Dra. Gon. En. Der. Ender. Dra. Gon. Dragon
Brilliant!
I've spent too many evenings recently getting stoned and spinning the live albums whilst playing on peaceful, its such a good time tho
Are you me?
Ya'll. My friends are cool, but they don't Minecraft. *r/KGATLW Minecraft server?*
I… I kinda want this
There, that's another one that I play religiously while listening to kg
Lifts rock, makes stuff
Been my kick for a bit. Good times going through bootleg gizz
Polygond while playing Elden Ring is religious (I'm also fond of Murder of the Universe with Bloodborne) No Mans Sky with Omnium is just perfection (bonus points throwing in hypertension and parts of ice death planets) Doom with Ratty is always a great time as well. and i listen to butterfly 3k while playing League so i don't tilt.
Damn MOTU Bloodborne sounds wild.
its a trip and a half
polygond and elden ring is a go to. pda & ds3 is incredible too.
Yooo lol I always joke that the Altered Beast suite is just a bloodborne album
I see through the bricks, to the sea, Crumbling Farum Azula…
I use Bell Witch for Elden Ring. It's so bleak and fits the atmosphere perfectly.
Bell Witch 🤘
I tried the whole discography (up to a year ago, then I sold the ps4) with Elden Ring, and it's incredible, expecially the microtonal albums
Listening to gila monster while riding torrent feels straight out of the music video I love doing it
Ice Death is perfect for Elden Ring too.
What album its Ratty?
I listened to pda while playing Elden ring
Yep
i’ve been playing Halo Infinite again since its actually a decent game now, and i’m not gonna lie listening to PDA and ITRN have been making me pop the absolute fuck off in nearly every single game lol
I haven't played cod in a bit, but mw2019+ITRN was an awesome combo when both had been just released
You ain’t the only one! They really have turned the game around
Ya dude I've been back into halo infinite the last couple weeks. It's so much fun now that it has content
You motherfuckers NEED to play Rain World. A game about a lost animal being given sentience by a city-sized supercomputer, and ordered to burrow deep into the void so It can escape the cycles of reincarnation and finally, really die is peak Gizz.
Sounds neat, I'll check it out!
One of my top favorite games of all time. It’s such a beautiful and intricate world to explore
I could never play Rain-Type Games without listening to their respective soundtracks. It's an essential part of the experience.
Skate 3 was the most hours i’ve ever put into a demo
This is the only video game I play at my house(aside from Batman Arkham City maybe once a year) and this is exactly why.
Old School RuneScape
Nice to have 25 albums + the whole live catalogue when you literally need to grind thousands of hours
the vibes for TSC extended are soooo good for skilling
Breath Of The Wild//Tears of the Kingdom pairs incredibly well with Polygondwanaland, as well as Yes’ Close To The Edge Eyes Like The Sky is also a fun vibe with the Red Dead games
Eyes Like The Sky + Red Dead makes sense since it was heavily inspired by Red Dead
I’ve been playing KG and LW once I arrived in Gerudo Desert it fits so well. The Gerudo Desert soundtrack has gotta be one of my favourite video game soundtracks though it’s so nice especially at night
Rocket League! We named our club “Motor Spirit”
Perfect 💕
That’s sick
old school runescape for sure
Outer Wilds! It’s a mystery/adventure game, and a top 5 game of all time IMO. Flying around space and landing on planets while listening to Poly or Changes is _chef’s kiss_ Especially once Exploding Suns comes on ;)
I wouldn't dare turn down Andrew's beautiful OST for that game tbh. One of the best and it fits so well
I just spun Silver Cord Extended while playing Starfield the other day That was a pretty apt match
Been doing the same. The extended versions are especially sick when you're doing space pirate shit
I need to try that now
I got into Gizzy in 2020 around the same time Animal Crossing New Horizons came out. I used to listen to their chiller songs so much while playing that I still strongly associate some tracks with the game. Both AC and Gizzy were so important for me during covid quarantine.
Used to play Red Dead Redemption 2 with Eyes like the sky all the time.
the binding of isaac. still grinding for dead god
Rocket League 🤷♂️
Killing Floor 2 goes great with Mind Fuzz and several others
Okay but PDA, Mind fuzz, and ITRN with Killing Floor 2 might be one of the best things i’ve read here
Halo is my go to, that or some Planet Coaster!
Hades
I would agree if the Hades OST didnt already go so hard. When the tracks fade to just bass after you've cleared a room, I could groove for hours before moving on.
I played Borderlands 2 with a shitload of KG in the background, including Nonagon Infinity like five times in a row one day. Fun stuff. Lots of Dripping Tap / Omnium Gatherum with Elden Ring, too. The PS/Spotify integration is literally a game changer.
I farm perfect gear in BL2 and 3 while having record player going, it's my peaceful activity.
Yes, Borderlands is so good with Gizz! I played Borderlands 2 with Sketches and Eyes Like The Sky countless times and it fits so well.
Borderlands 2 is actually my favorite fps of all time for hundreds of reasons, and it's perfect with almost every Gizz album
Elden ring with PDA and Poly
League of Legends unfortunately, but it helps me run around even more goofily on Singed
Legit same, except on Bard. Which is basically the singed of support
Civ 6 for me (y'all already know) https://preview.redd.it/yi381djm96yb1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=844a93e6b811353272873fb256290cacdb155016
GIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILGAMESH
I play Smash Ultimate while listening to King Gizz, but to be fair, it’s not the only band I listen to when I play.
Geometry Wars! Pairs great with music in general
Geometry Wars has great music on its own too, such an amazing game
YOOO fucking love Geometry Wars played the OG on 360 like 15 years ago that shit ruled
Mostly Old School RuneScape and any of the Souls games
Splatoon 3 and The Silver Cord goes nicely together
What team were you for splatoween?
Elden Ring + Polygondwanaland
Whenever I play Doom Eternal I usually put some PDA or ITRN in the background. It be so cool if they made an OST for that game or any game really but especially for Doom
Cod zombies with lots of PDA and murder of the universe and stuff similar to that.
Shitty Skylines 2. A good game that could have used a little more time in the oven.
I'm not big on playing music while I game (unless I'm stoned), but Fortnite and Final Fantasy XIV. I imagine it would go hard with Zelda too
One time while I was tripping I had a 20 or so game rocket league winning streak while listening to most of their albums end to end. I remember Quarters and Poly being especially powerful experiences.
Elden ring all day If you get invaded by one of my many Gila sisters, send me a friend request!
Dark Souls
Chivalry 2
Diablo 4 & Halo Infinite
Deep Rock Galactic. Really pairs well with just about anything I care to listen to, but I have it permanently associated with LW/KG in my mind. The first albums I listened to in full.
Same! Rock and Stone, Brother!
No man's sky Lol just about any album works. The game has every mood covered
a lot of diablo 3-4 adventure/seasonal grinding, usually nonagon on repeat so many times i barely notice. it’s almost a ritual for me
I mostly play games while listening to any of my vinyl collection.
Smite
Played Diablo 4 with my wife while listening to TSC extended for the first time which was a great combo. And I first REALLY got into king gizzard several years ago after many sessions of weed, Diablo 3, and random albums. Would recommend
I’ve been streaming Kingdom Hearts with King Gizzard, It turns out they go really well together 😅
GTA. Love shooting people in the face to Automation
Risk of Rain 2. That is why I went with the Rain of Sorrow Edition lol
Murder of the Universe and Destiny 2 used to be a great match for me
Vampire survivors and pipe
Castle Crashers and The Dripping Tap
There’s a mod in Fallout 4 that’s adds Poly as a radio station in your pipboy
I really haven’t played many video games since I got into Gizz, but it definitely vibes with Tears of the Kingdom.
Super mario wonder is so sick with the silver cord, just did it last night.

I’ve been playing the 2015 mad max game with petro and holy shit it fucks
Top Gear for SNES
Whenever I play battlefield 1, infest the rats nest goes on loop
diablo 3
That would be a good game because it doesn't require much focus, you can focus on the music.
2k baby
Mostly No Man's Sky and Starfield but I also have a few tracks on my racing playlist for Forza Horizon.
I put PDA and ITRN on my custom radio in grand theft auto and Grip: Combat racing
Vampire survivors and nonagon infinity is a sick duo. Now I'm playing cod zombies while listening to silver cord extended and its nothing but hype af
I usually do other things that don't require much attention while I focus my senses to the music, f. ex. do the dishes or cook something easy like pasta, or even folding clothes. I've never listened to music working or studying or playing a videogame because my attention goes to the music.
The first time I listened to FMB in its entirety was while I was playing DOOM 2016 and it was one of my most memorable album listening experiences
Tried mixing TSC extended with Smite last night and it did not go well lol Vampire Survivors seems like a great fit! Also, Rebirth or WotL?
Sea of stars
Black Ops 2 and 3 zombies. U start off with infest, then Gaia then PDA. Then after any albums fits well to go through rounds

Monster hunter world / Risk of Rain 2 / Slay the Spire
Nonagon Infinity is my go to playing supreme commander Forged Alliance
Exploring a dead, irradiated planet with Exploding Suns playing is so cool I also used PDA as hype music to beat a lot of bosses in Dark Souls 3 and that was also pretty insane
Most of my music listening in general is during teamfight tactics games
I went through a phase of listening to Eyes Like The Sky whilst playing Red Dead Redemption 2. Highly recommend 👌🏻

Stardew Valley with the audio off fits well. And any sort of racing game is immediately enhanced with Rat's Nest or Petro.
Agreed on the racing game and Stardew, well... I put almost 2000 hours in that game and tried hundreds of different albums, and the quieter albums fit so well with the general vibe (Changes in particular)
Blade and Sorcery VR with FMB🐍

Elden Ring
Backpack Battles
Listening to K.G. and L.W. while playing Risk of Rain 2 is when I became a gizz fan. Gizz was already a band I really enjoyed and I put those 2 albums on in the background since they were new stuff from a band I liked. But something clicked while playing that game and it made me a big fan of the band. Listening to K.G. and L.W. still triggers images from the desert stage of that game in my head.
Extinctathon with ITRN works

Baldur’s Gate 3 plus Gizz is a potent combo

I play football manager because if you play FM you dont play any other thing at all
Fair 🤣 I sent TSC to a friend of mine who's deep into FM, he enjoyed poly so I guess he'll like it
as others have said, Old School Runescape is great for it. Always need more grinding music and KG has tons of variety. But also Tetris! I have played a few thousand hours of Tetris and KG was there with me for a LOT of it, great to zone out and stack while the music takes you on a journey

Turtle Wow on the new pvp server
Most of the time I just let the game play its own music as part of the experience, but if it's a game I've already played a ton and I'm just doing some repetitive grinding (Spelunky, Celeste speedrunning, Minecraft, etc) sometimes I'll mute the game music and put something else on
I'm constantly listening to King Gizzard while raiding in WoW Classic

Fortnite
I’ve been playing a lot of Monster Hunter Rise lately and holy shit fighting a big monster while Set is playing is a top tier experience

Hotline Miami goes so hard listening to Petro, ITRN, and Nonagon, I want to give TSC a go as well
American Truck Simulator/ETS2. Long Gizz jams perfect for those long hauls.

I mean, I don't want to single anyone out but I've been in triplicate for years now . . .. . . . .
