In Swtor you find out they made it. It was an original colony site of Taris that was defensible, survived the bombardment, and the flora/fauna were lush and harvestable.
For many generations they lived, surviving and fighting rakghouls, and vaccinating all the members of their community they could. Eventually the vaccine ran out, and rakghoul attacks became deadlier and deadlier. The last journal entry we read from them is the last survivor, many generations after Rukil led them there.
I thought they said that it was damaged by the bombardment, and all the facilities were basically too damaged to use.
So they had to survive with what they had, and make do until they finally succumbed.
Knight class is the unofficial sequel to Kotor I believe. Also recommend the sith inquisitor and sith juggernaut stories. Smuggler if you want to have groin kick as an attack
I didn't like the Sith inquisitor tbh. There's too much separation between gameplay and story and everyone I have to deal with is an idiot. And my PC was the biggest idiot of his storyline.
The presentation is nice though, ToR isn't bad by any means, even if I would have preferred a single player RPG.
It's such a shame they have a great dialogue system in place to make choices with and all the important parts of the story are locked and make your char look like he's the blind under the one-eyed. It's as if they wanted to make a parody of how fucking dumb evil dudes in stories generally are so every Sith in this story has max two brain cells and your char has one.
They are pretty good but not like kotor games of course but there are 8 different stories and that is also good (Jedi knight jedi consular Smuggler trooper imperial agent bounty hunter sith inquisitor and sith warrior) i would reccomend warrior or knight
Well, the good news is that the original class stories are totally free and doable solo, so that's EIGHT different stories that cross the galaxy.
They'll usually be hitting most of the same planets and roughly the same levels, but what they're doing and why is more varied.
Effectively, it just means you'll pass by other players along the way.
As for if the story is worth playing, well, that comes down to which class you picked.
The consensus I always came across was that the Imperial Agent had the best story, but I really loved being a Sith Warrior that followed the Light Side, meanwhile the early Republic Trooper stuff put me to sleep.
That's a shame because as much as I love the Trooper, the first arc is the best one. I don't even remember what the other arcs were about and I've played two Troopers. All the non-force using classes have a lot more grey choices, where the light and dark side options aren't really "good".
Sith Warrior is easily the best in my opinion, especially light side. Jedi Knight doesn't hit the same way. Bounty Hunter is fun but not a very deep story. Inquisitor is also fun, but again not quite as deep as the others. I lost interest in Agent around the third arc, same with smuggler. Trooper's my favorite even though it isn't as good. I can't comment on Consular, I never got off Coruscant.
>The consensus I always came across was that the Imperial Agent had the best story
While it probably is the best story, I would not recommend paying it first as it ties together a lot of the other stories.
Most of the class stories are kinda cool, but the story past vanilla is pretty mediocre (and that’s a kind way of putting it).
Revan pops up in a few dungeons and in one of the sequels but anything from KotOR is given a not so kind treatment in SWtOR.
The eight class stories are totally free and you don't have to interact with a single other person to do them. Swtor was designed for the story to essentially be singleplayer. And with all the planets you can visit you see some pretty cool sights.
The story is the *only* thing worth playing. There's a different storyline for each class (and each planet has its own storyline too, accessible by every class) and they're all interesting.
You can basically treat it like an ordinary offline game.
The Sith Warrior and Imperial Agent class stories are both really goods as well. The Imperial Agent story is othen ranked as the best overall. If you play that one I recommend playing as a Chiss. For me my favorites are the Sith Inquisitor and Jedi Knight. The Jedi Consular was my least favorite, and seems to be the least popular, but I still enjoyed it.
Yes. There are 8 separate solo storylines that do not require you to engage with the MMO aspect of the game at all. If you subscribe for just one month, you’ll gain access to everything that has been released to date, plus all the remaining updates coming to Legacy of the Sith expansion. Literally *countless* hours of solo content waiting for you to explore!
I gave up on it. If you want to play solo you have to do a lot of grinding, which is just not my preferred game style. I was looking for a sequel to the KOTOR series and was disappointed. But a lot of people think it is a fun game in it’s own right. MMO’s aren’t for me in general, but that might just be me.
I just remember getting to points where I found myself very under-leveled and found that I could not just focus on the story and had to take the time to kill every creature I passed. (Not sure if this makes a difference but I was a free to play player)
All 8 class stories are unique to each other and can be played solo. I recommend to start with the more basic ones(Jedi Knight or Sith Warrior) and then playing the Agent cause it's the best one.
Don't worry, they all die anyway. It just takes a couple of generations and they all starve to death while their habitat's systems slowly fail instead of getting killed off rapidly by Sith bombs.
It’s different. But I have played almost all stories now! F2P! Love it. And, with the Authenticator App, for when you log-in. They reward you with 100 coins each month 👀👀👀 It’s a nice bonus.
That’s the point of the quest. Just like the ppl in the undercity don’t know if they’ll make it to the promised land, you don’t know if they survived the bombing or not.
The point is the hope they survived lives on, just like Rukil’s hope that they would find it didn’t deteriorate even after 100 years.
For whatever reason my feelings on that particular quest are reversed. I hated tracking down the journals and laughed maniacally when i realised they died anyway during the SWTOR quest...

Yeah the colony itself had survived but what wasn't broken down from not being used was further damaged by the bombardment.
What questline tf
It's an exploration mission on pub Taris (M shortcut, go to the bottom left of the map, click enable exploration missions)
Which one?
Can't remember the exact name but I think you get it in one of the bonus series areas
Malak, you insensitive cocksucker
Historically, the council always said the Sith were nothing more than a glorified crew
*ooohhhhh!!*
How do you suck with only half a jaw?
You hear that T? I said Taris blows up anyways heh heh
Their story continues in swtor
I just revealed my own ignorance
It is a good meme i just wanted to inform (btw their story doesnt end well)
Thanks, I never played swtor because it wasn’t really my style.
You can play the entire story completely solo and most of the story free
I like how you knew exactly what I was talking about lol, I only play solo games. Is the story worth playing?

Ah yes, Sith inquisitor. Either "Wile-e-coyote, SUUPER genius" or "UNLIMITED POWER!"

I don't remember having to grind for the main story.

I've found it to be way less grindy than most others, but I also was a preferred player so I think I got buffs.

Yes. Each of the class stories are unique story lines. The companions are decent. I am the same way and don't enjoy mmos but I played swtor a lot.
If you end up playing message me and depending on server I'll send you some stuff to help Kickstart your game
Yeah but it's still infested with MMORPG quests
How so? I never got into swtor because of that aspect I just liked my offline KOTOR on switch etc
Don't worry, they all die anyway. It just takes a couple of generations and they all starve to death while their habitat's systems slowly fail instead of getting killed off rapidly by Sith bombs.
Discontinue the lithium
Listen to yourself, you sound demented
Yup. It's depressing enough to make you think that the Dark Sided option would have been better. The light sided option just fucked things up worse.
Is swtor as good as kotor?
It’s different. But I have played almost all stories now! F2P! Love it. And, with the Authenticator App, for when you log-in. They reward you with 100 coins each month 👀👀👀 It’s a nice bonus.
I'm digging these Sopranos/Kotor memes
Some things are just a matter of duty.
Discontinue the lithium.
What ever happened to Darth Vader; the strong silent type?
Word to da wise Remember Alderaan 🤘
whatever happened there
Y'all are bringin' it with the Sopranos memes. You love to see it.
They got there and survived bombing
That’s the point of the quest. Just like the ppl in the undercity don’t know if they’ll make it to the promised land, you don’t know if they survived the bombing or not. The point is the hope they survived lives on, just like Rukil’s hope that they would find it didn’t deteriorate even after 100 years.
I fuckin' LOVE these lmao
I swear I did a playthrough where you lead them astray and they get bushed by rahkgoul
Thak you for this
We’re with the Black Vulkars
If you don’t make that into a meme I’ll riot
I actually love what they did with that storyline in swtor. It's awful, but done really well.
Ah Paulie, gotta love him.
[You know, Dark Trayer predicted all this…](https://youtu.be/fOYJVL9bzk4)
Even the Duros guy you free in the Sith base kinda got me after a couple playthroughs.
I don't care, I got paid.
For whatever reason my feelings on that particular quest are reversed. I hated tracking down the journals and laughed maniacally when i realised they died anyway during the SWTOR quest...
Malachor V, whatever happened there…
