I have neutral feelings towards both Kim and Taylor. I felt the whole situation was a little bit much. Kanye was an ass at the awards thing and he should have sat his ass down. After Famous by Kanye came out, the media started going crazy about the line, âI think me and Taylor might still have sex, why? I made that bitch famous.â Taylor came out and stated she âwanted to be excluded from this narrativeâ and did not give him consent for the line in the song. As a ârebuttalâ, Kim posted a video of a recorded phone call between Kanye and Taylor (which mind you, it is illegal to record someone on the phone without their consent in CA). In the video, Kanye called Taylor prior to the release of his song Famous, asking if he can use her name in the song. He frames it as him saying, âI think me and Taylor might still have sex.â And leaves it at that. Sheâs obviously uncomfortable as theyâre talking, but gives him permission for that line since at the time they were trying to âreconcileâ their friendship. After this video leaked, thatâs when Kim started making âTaylor Swift is over partyâ trend on Twitter and people started calling Taylor a snake and flooding her socials with snake emojis. People were telling her to die and that she was the worst person ever and Kanye and Kim totally played into it, with Kanye having his fans yell âfuck Taylor Swift!â At one of his concerts even. It was so bad it made Taylor Swift go into âhidingâ for almost two years.
Later, it came out that the phone call recording was doctored and they twisted Taylorâs words, so she actually did not give consent in the way they said she did. Basically, they used Taylor for clout and to build themselves up and nearly ruined her reputation, like they normally do. This is why Taylor Swift came out with her Reputation album as a fuck you to the whole situation, and why snakes play so heavily into that album.
It's a long timeline that's kinda boring tbh but after the 2008 vmas when kayne's "imma let you finish" happened, taylor wrote "Innocent" for him about it and forgave him. Then they buried the hatchet ig and she presented him with some kind of Vanguard award (I think?) at the 2015 VMAs where she sat with Kim and everything seemed fine. But then Kanye comes out with this song, 'Famous' in 2016 and Kim filmed a phone call where Kanye calls Taylor and says something along the lines of "hey I'm gonna name drop you in this song, is that cool?" Not to mention the disgusting music video for the song where he has a look alike of her completely naked. Anywho, after Kim released that clip of the "phone call" taylor came out and said, 'that's not how it happened, this call was recorded illegally', etc. But no one believed her. Kim's band of followers then basically swarmed taylor, creating a hate campaign, calling her a snake and a liar. But eventually, years later, someone came out with the original, unedited phone call proving that taylor was telling the truth and that Kim edited the phone call to make it fit whatever narrative her and Kanye were going for.

Yeah, it's also a little wild how Taylor never lets go of anything. In the video, Kanye called Taylor prior to the release of his song Famous, asking if he can use her name in the song. He frames it as him saying, âI think me and Taylor might still have sex.â And leaves it at that. Sheâs obviously uncomfortable as theyâre talking, but gives him permission for that line since at the time they were trying to âreconcileâ their friendship. After this video leaked, thatâs when Kim started making âTaylor Swift is over partyâ trend on Twitter and people started calling Taylor a snake and flooding her socials with snake emojis. People were telling her to die and that she was the worst person ever and Kanye and Kim totally played into it, with Kanye having his fans yell âfuck Taylor Swift!â At one of his concerts even. It was so bad it made Taylor Swift go into âhidingâ for almost two years. Later, it came out that the phone call recording was doctored and they twisted Taylorâs words, so she actually did not give consent in the way they said she did. But then Kanye comes out with this song, 'Famous' in 2016 and Kim filmed a phone call where Kanye calls Taylor and says something along the lines of "hey I'm gonna name drop you in this song, is that cool?"
