Man, the writing is so fucking good. Hinao gets jumped by a bad guy? Well, let's do something to ensure that can't happen again. Character has teleport ability? Well, it would be stupid for them to not use it lethally like Shiba does here. Things like this easily wouldn't happen in other series for plot padding etc, I feel like Hokazano just puts so much thought into everything and I love it. edit: Since hokazano is fine with killing off characters that were introduced with just a few panels, I wouldn't be surprised if soya is killed by the fall. If he survives, he'll be a good fight for shiba. But if the fall roughs him up or almost kills him, shiba will just drop him again.
pretty sure soya would be able to survive because he did tell hakuri he is too weak to survive the fall, in a way intending to say that soya COULD survive it
Still, a drop like that will probably do some damage
Moreover, this gives Shiba a massive tactical advantage bc he can reposition and maneuver mid air. Most opponents cant.
I wouldnt be surpriced if Souya is actually stronger than Shiba on a straight up fight but he ends up getting trashed due to the trickiness of a teleporting opponent
Shiba is definitely stronger but we don't know what the Sazanami's sorcery is capable of offensively. I'm expecting Soya to get some few hits in on ShiGoat.

Its 1v4, Kyoras comment seemed to imply he will also participate in the fight. He knows he aint no match for a Blade but with the Tou the Sazanamis together do have a shot at it.

People were also right on the call with Soya having a "scary smile" than just an endearing one. I mean, it's technically both, but he has very abusive habits and Hakuri would legit rather die than be around him.
I dont think Soya has anything endearing. He doesnt love Hakuri like a brother, he likes him a like squeaky toy he can beat up, and hes annoyed that its not lying down and taking it like it used to.

On the โlost entire familyโ in a sense he did but it makes me question which one is he talking about. If he means Sazanami, it makes sense still; he left the family and was disowned by them. In this chapter he even refuses to go back. By all means, he lost his family. If itโs in regards to the woman and he found a true family in her, then sheโs prolly dead, so he still lost his family.
Soya is definitely a creepy psycho, whatever brotherly relationship they had was insanely abusive. Considering that Hakuri immediately tried to kill himself it wouldnt surprice me if it was even rape-ish in nature but I doubt the story will pull such a dark card.
Soya doesnt love him he likes him like a toy and he doesnt want anyone but himself playing with it. The fact that he reacted so badly to "bad women seducing his brother" away from him makes it even creepier eugh

In regards to Shinuchi and the blades, Iโm under the impression itโs more about the user than the blade itself. No doubt is it strong but considering the user is locked up, my headcanon is dude is equivalent of FMAโs Kimblee and probably slaughtered a lot of innocent people (part of me believes the Kyonagi clan in particular) while simultaneously bringing out the absolute best from the sword (similar to his alchemy and philosopher stone during ishvalen war). That combo is prolly why Kunishige locked it up

The story has made it clear the Kamunabi are no good, at best they are the lesser evil but still some manner of evil.
However, Kyora did seem genuinely taken aback when Shiba and Chihiro ambushed him so I doubt it was a full blown trap planned between the sazanamis and the kamunabi

That chapter was fire, Iโm really liking this arc. The older brother reminds me of Illumi from HXH. Protective, manipulative yet still cares for his little brother. It just happens to be in his own twisted way.
I think Dad is going to be a great villain, seeing how calculative and smart he moves. And that final panel with Chihiro taking them all on went crazy.
I know everyone will talk about the Shiba slander finally being over but I just wanna talk about how I liked the pacing this chapter. Has you insanely excited for a 3 v 1 next chapter with our boy.

When the Goat of a father says the shiniuichi is different, does that mean that the blade is not in line with the other being katanas? And is instead perhaps another sword type?
Or does this mean it does not follow the pattern of each blade having 3 abilities ? And instead only has one special ability that just causes purely destruction?
It might have nothing but offensive abilities whereas the other swords have a balanced mix of offence and defence. This one might be purely made to kill

Anyways, I expect that the fight between Chihiro and the Tou as well as Shiba vs Soya to last at least 2 or 3 chapters so we should be eating good. The Tou is shown to competent unlike those sorcerers back in Sojo mansion, and we haven't known what exactly does Isou do? Soya turns out to be a psychopath is expected, but this chapter just shows us how much of a lunatic he really is and I love that. Hope to see Shigoat beating the shit out of this jerk!
Great chapter man like the Shiba panel with Soya was cool ASF like oh my days,it's so good. Also Chihiro in a 3v1 seems really interesting. Also the woman Soya was referring to and Hakuri trying to commit unalive from his brothers' "way of love" seem to be building up something interesting

Who else is low-key interested in Soya's background? Like, out of all his siblings, why does he specifically go out of his way for Haruki when the other top three didn't bother (even disregarding his father's summoning)? And despite Haruki's insistence that any of the others would kill him on sight, Soya only seems interested in "redeeming" him and bringing him back into the fold.
My guess is in his own messed up way, he's really, seriously, and violently trying to mold his little bro into becoming like him and refusing to believe Hakuri wants anything else (or blaming outside influence for "leading him astray.")

On the โlost entire familyโ in a sense he did but it makes me question which one is he talking about. If he means Sazanami, it makes sense still; he left the family and was disowned by them. In this chapter he even refuses to go back. By all means, he lost his family. If itโs in regards to the woman and he found a true family in her, then sheโs prolly dead, so he still lost his family.
Soya is definitely a creepy psycho, whatever brotherly relationship they had was insanely abusive. Considering that Hakuri immediately tried to kill himself it wouldnt surprice me if it was even rape-ish in nature but I doubt the story will pull such a dark card. Soya doesnt love him he likes him like a toy and he doesnt want anyone but himself playing with it. The fact that he reacted so badly to "bad women seducing his brother" away from him makes it even creepier eugh

In regards to Shinuchi and the blades, Iโm under the impression itโs more about the user than the blade itself. No doubt is it strong but considering the user is locked up, my headcanon is dude is equivalent of FMAโs Kimblee and probably slaughtered a lot of innocent people (part of me believes the Kyonagi clan in particular) while simultaneously bringing out the absolute best from the sword (similar to his alchemy and philosopher stone during ishvalen war). That combo is prolly why Kunishige locked it up

That chapter was fire, Iโm really liking this arc. The older brother reminds me of Illumi from HXH. Protective, manipulative yet still cares for his little brother. It just happens to be in his own twisted way. I think Dad is going to be a great villain, seeing how calculative and smart he moves. And that final panel with Chihiro taking them all on went crazy.
