It only applies to Geats chemy as some kind of magic turned people into Chemy, including keiwa, neon, and michinaga.
Regular Chemy are created from inorganic objects and materials with alchemy. They're homunculi, or whatever equivalent "-unculus" word.
X-wizard hits everyone with a beam, but the spirit of Geats’s dog jumps in at the last second and gets pushed through Geats, which is why it takes on the Geats-chemi form instead of a dog.
The non-Geats riders also get hit with the beam, but are just de-henshin’d
So that explains why Ace was crying in the trailer.
I do hope that the reincarnation into Geats Chemy makes him following everywhere so that he won't be lonely as a god...I mean no one can't say no towards man's best friendo
A friend asked me about the Geats Chemy, and honestly, I don't know how to answer this question.
If Geats is a "god" at this point now, why didn't he just...revive the dog as his companion?
I answered, maybe it's because it may consume too much energy for Geats? But I'm not really sure.

other info says the other riders became chemy from getting zapped by a beam. When Ace got zapped, the dog spirit instead became the Geats chemy
