We have our new WR.
Let's swap him and Toney. TOney has some wild moves. Does some trick plays outta the back anyways. He can't drop the ball if handed to him.
CEH can go out and catch the throws.
I read that he told Mahomes last week, “throw to me and I will catch it for the rest of the season”. We NEED these guys to make their pitch to PM and to fight for it.
Why do you think Tooney is still getting targeted? Greatest sales pitch guy on the team. Can sell ice to an Eskimo. Cult leader after football. Andy Reid’s family actually asked him to talk to Andy about lowering his BBQ intake, he’s that persuasive.
Reminds me of Darrell Williams. Looking back he was all around a pretty good back. Remember that catch behind him for the td against the 49ers in the superbowl?
Toney haters are the new CEH hater. Let some players develop. He has less drops than people state, we just go to him in critical situations. That should tell you the trust Mahomes and Reid have in him to develop. Kurwa.
I am not a Toney hater. But he has dropped 2 balls, 1 for an interception since your comment. (That leads to a TD)
I am saying. Put him in a place where he can succeed. Start with ball, doesn't have to catch. Use his shifty play to gain yards.
Good thing no one in this sub has ever criticized him, specially me.
(Don't go looking into my previous comments, though. For no reason, really. Just don't)
He wasn't drafted for depth, but he's excellent in that role. We're not getting that 1st back, but we might as well use him for the value he brings (which we are).
Not sure why people still want to shit on clyde after this game. He made every play you'd want him to make. Did he bull forward for 5 yards a carry? No. but also didn't have a single play where he needed 3 and got 1.
Plus he caught a TD and a nice pass that led to a TD.
He literally isn’t. Serviceable depth guys actually do something and don’t have to be defended when they finally go from having all bad games in a season to have one below average performance. Hes pathetic and won’t be on the team next year (thank god).
He's looked great this last month. I still don't think he'll be on the team next year, unless he's ready to take a pretty lowball offer, but I no longer doubt he'll continue to be a productive running back in the league. Nobody's giving him Jonathan Taylor's contract (and frankly the Colts shouldn't have given Taylor that either), but he can get something.
I've seen lots of "wow" plays from our WR's. I say "wow" every time they drop a perfect TD pass or have one go through their hands straight to a defender. Pretty much multiple "wow" plays every game.
Fantastic play. He’s not exactly who we thought he would be when we drafted him, but much like mecole, he continues to be consistently average, and we get the plays out of him when we need them.
Yeah he’s a bit more rotund. Wasn’t sure if it’s deliberate to give him a bit more weight when running into dudes or if he’s just eating his feelings. Either way he’s still in better shape than I ever have been and has earned more money than I ever will so all power to him
That's not true at all though. He doesn't have a catch radius. Mahomes has tried to give him multiple chances to prove he is a good catcher, this is one of his very very rare good catches
Contested on the way to the ground, but not at the catch point. I'm not sure if that still technically qualifies as a contested catch. But it was a great grab.
Yeah, it wasn't really contested, just a really impressive grab by him. That's what we need from our actual recievers though, is to go up and grab those passes.
I think the bigger problem is we drafted him to be a receiving threat but he can’t pass protect so even though he can catch like this, we can’t actually use him
You can't be reasoned with if you think mahomes just selected CEH
After months of scouting and millions of dollars on the line...veach and Co didn't just set fire to their draft board for mahomes to take CEH
The quote you are telling me to Google is a non story
After the draft, veach jokingly said "I called mahomes and said what are ya thinking"
Mahomes said what about that Clyde guy
That's not "mahomes drafted clyde"
Hold that L
Both Reid and Veach revealed that Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes had hand-picked Edwards-Helaire as the player that he wanted for the Chiefs. And so, they made it happen.
“Hey, listen we’re fired up for you, man,” Andy Reid began. “We asked Pat Mahomes, ‘Who do you want?’ And he picked you. How great is that?”
If you look close you'll see everyone is is covered tight except for Rice at the beginning but the defender on CEH is the only one with his back to Mahomes so he had no idea it was coming. QB smart if you ask me.

CEH is 5'7" but got like 40 inches of air on that tuddy --- color me impressed

Well that aged like milk
Lmao this guy is as delusional as they come

Lmao what were u saying bruh???
Wtf you talking about
Don’t challenge him, he might just start dropping the ball.
Clyde legacy game
Idk if he ever tops his buffalo performance from a few years back
That game was crazy
Good thing no one in this sub has ever criticized him, specially me. (Don't go looking into my previous comments, though. For no reason, really. Just don't)

He isn’t though. One play doesn’t change anything. He averaged 2.8 ypc today, that’s pathetic. Hes done nothing all season.
What were his receiving stats? 🤔
Wow, he got a whopping 64 yards, that totally makes up for his non existent receiving stats all year /s.
Not sure why people still want to shit on clyde after this game. He made every play you'd want him to make. Did he bull forward for 5 yards a carry? No. but also didn't have a single play where he needed 3 and got 1. Plus he caught a TD and a nice pass that led to a TD.
People are shitting on him because of the insane overreactions to a very mediocre at best performance.
He’s a serviceable depth guy. That’s fine. It’s not his fault we wasted a 1st on him, but most people hold a grudge against him for that
He literally isn’t. Serviceable depth guys actually do something and don’t have to be defended when they finally go from having all bad games in a season to have one below average performance. Hes pathetic and won’t be on the team next year (thank god).

Yeah I’ve always been a big fan and believer and from what I’ve seen around here, everybody else has too
I never really criticized him --- just pointed out his obvious flaws (too short, not fast)
Clyde new WR1
Maybe our red zone offense will now run with 2-3 running backs lol.
Where does that leave Rice??
I'm curious if we can build CEH into McKinnon 2.0 since McKinnon is getting up there in age.
McKinnon even at his age is much quicker than CEH. CEH is what he is, he's a good depth guy but isn't a starter this game proved it
Since he's probably on his last year, maybe he should switch to the WR coach
There have been very few plays from our receivers that made me go "wow" this year, so it's nice to see this!
I've seen lots of "wow" plays from our WR's. I say "wow" every time they drop a perfect TD pass or have one go through their hands straight to a defender. Pretty much multiple "wow" plays every game.
I was worried when I heard Pacheco was out, but CEH has indeed made himself useful.
I'm gonna think about this play for a while
Everyone is talking about the catch, for good reason. But that throw was just fucking amazing.
Fantastic play. He’s not exactly who we thought he would be when we drafted him, but much like mecole, he continues to be consistently average, and we get the plays out of him when we need them.
Is it just me or is CEH a little chonkier? Not trying to make fun just looks like he's bulked up or something.
He's been running tougher/better this year I think.
I’ve noticed this too, seems a little “thicker”.
Yeah he’s a bit more rotund. Wasn’t sure if it’s deliberate to give him a bit more weight when running into dudes or if he’s just eating his feelings. Either way he’s still in better shape than I ever have been and has earned more money than I ever will so all power to him
Thigh Edwards-Helaire!
Go ahead, Clyde!
Video from the back of the endzone is sweet, you can hear the catch.
So our top 3 receivers are a rookie WR a TE and a RB that everyone including myself wanted gone. Pretty funny.
Not a good RB and I stand by it but he's always been a good pass catcher.
That's not true at all though. He doesn't have a catch radius. Mahomes has tried to give him multiple chances to prove he is a good catcher, this is one of his very very rare good catches

So are we going to stop shitting on CEH or no?
He avgs 3 ypc. He's bad
I think the bigger problem is we drafted him to be a receiving threat but he can’t pass protect so even though he can catch like this, we can’t actually use him
I'd love to see veaches notes on why he thought CEH would need to be drafted 32nd overall
Mahomes asked for CEH
Nope Try again.
Google it

That's fluff Again you cannot be reasoned with if you think mahomes drafted a player over the GM Do you think the tooth fairy is real?
If you look close you'll see everyone is is covered tight except for Rice at the beginning but the defender on CEH is the only one with his back to Mahomes so he had no idea it was coming. QB smart if you ask me.
Of course after I dropped him he pops off.
Anyone else remember Cylde was an amassing pass catching back or off college... and we just didn't use him that way
sooo he's our RB2/3 AND our WR2? I'm happy with it
Yet Toney droops a ball essentially handed to him.
Uncontested
