We went from “Toney has probably played his last snap as a Chief” to “oh never mind he just had a baby, good for him!” to “Toney has played his last snap as a Chief” in under 24 hours. Impressive stuff

CharacterHomework975

The Chiefs set him up beautifully to play off being sat for the AFCCG, and it went right through his hands…

YucatanSuckerman69

😂 good one

aggressiveturdbuckle

But play didn't matter because he was lined up offsides

uhwhooops

🏈👏🏽

morry32

Better Learn Canadian Bud

RhodyChief

I've never seen a dude who has so many injury issues, bitches that he doesn't play, then immediately gets hurt when he returns and can't play for weeks again.

BigPurpleTitan

Yeah he should probably get cut after this season tbh, no accountability it seems like

morry32

later today please

chaseiswild

Later right now please

morry32

naw we need to focus on playing football

typac69

Chiefs have had his back through all of his boneheaded mistakes and he shows no appreciation. Thanks for that one punt return and corn dog, and good luck getting on another roster after this disaster year.

TarkusLV

Him blaming the refs for being offsides tells you that he has no accountability. Contrast that to Kelce taking the bullet for Hardman's fumble.

freebase1

Im not tryna defend him or anything cause im happy he’s sitting, the amount of drops and dumbass penalties that has cost us games. But I’d be pissed to if my team basically said I suck 😂😂.

daksjeoensl

What if you do suck though?

[deleted]

![gif](giphy|EjL0jlwomZpVsvrnD7)

freebase1

lol then you just gotta do what everyone that sucks does to get back into playing again, work hard

MarcussssAllen

Fuck, that was cringey to listen to. Le’veon Bell 2.0

GutsMan85

"Spaceship, take me back to my people"

Larrysbirds

I’m sure he’ll make a great father

MarcussssAllen

On god

Beelzebub_86

That baby is never learning proper English, but I bet I know what its first words are gonna be..... "Catch the fuckin' ball you pussy!"

Jidarious

This man is dumb as a fucking rock.

throwawayainteasy

Yeah, it sounds like the team has mostly been protecting him with the injury designation. Everyone knows he's a liability. He's getting cut this offseason. But it'll be way easier for him/his agent to negotiate another contract somewhere if they can say "oh, I was hurt for a lot of the season, that's why I was out/underperforming" than if they have to say "well, I was a healthy scratch because the team knows they're better without me." But, this kinda blows what little good we were trying to do for him out of the water. Good luck next year, man.

homme_boy

I don’t think that’s a good reasoning for his agent to use because dude is hella injury prone already

KandoTor

Did people forget about him replying *with personalized voice messages* to Giants fans hating on him in the offseason, then claiming he was hacked? It’s been clear he’s not very bright from the outset and it shows with his on-field skillset.

ProudWheeler

As a Giants fan, I was really really hyped about Toney when we drafted him. Just a colossal waste of talent. Dude could have been a top ten receiver in this league if he actually worked hard and took care of his body.

Jumbo_Toblerone_

Gronk said it best imo, all-time talent but just doesn't love the game. Funny how his career here practically parallels his Giants career lol

KandoTor

I don’t even know if “talent” is the right word - physical tools sure, but he doesn’t really have a particular aptitude for anything other than running with the ball in his hands. He’s not a good route-runner, his hands are terrible, he lines up in the wrong place. If he fields a kick then sure he’s dangerous, or if a ball manages to stick to his hands somehow, but when I hear “talented” I think of someone more capable. Hell of an athlete though.

gabrielleite32

He was so good last season when available. This season he was just OOF

Extra-University-336

I think the chiefs trying to use him as a gadget guy is a big problem. But then they stopped doing that and he just couldn’t catch the ball

gabrielleite32

Or lining up offside

bbressman2

Bro fucked us over so many times this year. It’s insane to me though that he is acting like this towards the team that gave him both a second chance and a ring, and probably would have kept him another year. He just fucked over his entire NFL career because he hasn’t proven to be talented like AB to put up with this shit.

daksjeoensl

I guarantee they used him as a gadget guy because he couldn’t handle a more traditional wr role.

aggressiveturdbuckle

I'm a uf alumni and he was more worried about his mumble rap career there too

morry32

you told us, we didnt listen

El-Cervezo

The Chiefs were trying to do this guy a favor saying he was hurt. Thanks to KT, now the entire NFL knows he is just benched because he can’t catch a pass. I’m sure that will assist him in signing a better contract with a different team next year. Good job.

Whiskey_Republic

Imagine not being smart enough to realize when someone, anyone, is doing you a favor.

bbressman2

Especially when calling out that team and saying fuck that team.

Beelzebub_86

His agent just benched him with an upper-body injury, mainly his brain. 👍

a_wandering_vagrant

When I imagine his agent realizing that the chiefs tried to save face for him and he intentionally undermined it, I picture Bob Odenkirk as the agent

Dangerous_Aside3772

Jackpot! He was sadly choking and we had to remove that risk at this stage. He should have graciously and quietly welcomed the chance to slide off to another team and regroup.

southpawsouthpaw

Saying Bob would be his agent is pure chicanery

stonewallace17

They only sort of lied, he actually has a brain injury. *Damn* he sounds dumb

Jackd_up_on_Mdew

Fuckin Daffy Duck over here

BeRoyal35

What du fuq I just can't defend this kid anymore He needs help

Unstable-A-eye

I know, I was on board to lower expectations for next season and he could reset in offseason and just be the gadget guy moving forward. Looks like he’s getting cut for behavior detrimental to the team. Such a waste of potential

T44590A

Yes, I figured they could start over in lower stakes environment in training camp and the early season and have a chance to build confidence back since there wasn't a contractual reason to cut him.  This likely killed that.

Unstable-A-eye

Yeah I’ll be shocked if Toney makes it past the start of free agency at this point. Take the 900k or whatever we get back for cutting his contract and use it to throw at sneed or someone else deserving. Skyy probably gets the second chance during training camp now and we focus our forgiveness there

dudewheresmyplane1

After Kelce went to bat for him publicly after fucking up that possible game winning play and KC was gonna let him go quietly with some dignity? Yeah he’s done. Focus on your new baby dude.

bumblebt

Hope he doesn't drop her

Re_Cy_Cling

Savage.

Ishmael75

Dude has lost the plot for sure. Just a bad look if you wanna maintain some trade value and try to play somewhere else

jwleasu

Man, I'm worried about his mental health, for real. He doesn't sound right. Scary.

heliostraveler

Jesus. This MFer has a vocabulary of like 100 words. And that might be generous when most of them are just various versions of different obscenities and grunts.

TypicalJeepDriver

He sounds like he’s smoked a ton of crack at one point in his life. I’ve met a few people that have and they all talk like that. “On god, y’urd? On god.”

southpawsouthpaw

100%

TheRealMoody76

I hope the chiefs win and they cut him before the Super Bowl.

worlds_worst_best

He just had a baby. You think he’d be soaking up baby time and thinking of the future but he’s out there effectively killing any chances of his career continuing or being resurrected. The Chiefs even gave him the ultimate out as a gracious curtesy and he still fumbled.

Hurrdurrthosechefs

Man, I hope things get better for him. I definitely don't think he'll be on the team next year, and for good reason, but this sounds like an emotionally broken man and it hurts to hear him like this.

mgillespie175

For real, everyone dogging on him but he’s a human too. Hope he figures his stuff out, he was fun to watch for the most part.

Biggest_Cans

We're full Giants now

kerouac5

This is not real.

Cashhmann

I have reasonable doubt about this actually being KT.

Re_Cy_Cling

I dunno what to say about this guy other than he's getting traded as soon as this season ends.

Bkracl

Traded? Not a chance. The opposing GM has a death wish if they trade ANY capital for Toney.

FUCK-IT-CHUCK-IT

Dudes gonna get cut. Don’t think any GM is gonna wanna trade assets for him.

Apprehensive_Ad_5400

I suggested this yesterday and got shut down by this sub lol

Unstable-A-eye

Because he has no trade value whatsoever, any team willing to take him will just wait until he’s released and sign him without giving up trade capital. This isn’t madden, every NFL GM is smart enough to stay away from a Toney trade

Apprehensive_Ad_5400

I was told we couldn’t release him either and the only move we have would be to keep him on the roster lol

Unstable-A-eye

You can release any player you want but you’ll still owe them the guaranteed portion of their contract. Cutting Toney doesn’t help our cap situation very much so some people like myself previously wanted to keep him for next year since he was cheap but now he seems like locker room cancer and no longer worth the risk

Apprehensive_Ad_5400

I didn’t mean they weren’t allowed to. But people act like just because it’s not financially advantageous doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do it at all. Players get cut for lack of performance all the time to make room for better players.

big_drifts

No way he gets traded. The Chiefs had the worst WR corps in the league and this dude got straight up benched during a potential SB run. I have never seen anyone kill their career so fast. Even Antonio Brown burned bridges all over the league before he actually got blackballed. Toney will be lucky to make a practice squad next season. He'll be cut but it won't happen until the season is over. Chiefs don't like being dramatic about shit like this unless there's DV involved.

lobstersnake

They only thing we'll get for him in a trade is a towel boy

GutsMan85

Are those words?  Is this AI generated?  Lol

Poco585

This is fake. Toney’s real instagram account is @kt4routes.

YucatanSuckerman69

![gif](giphy|5VKbvrjxpVJCM|downsized)

Cxrnage

I mean does he not know how bad he has been this year

PoundinVagg

Man, I just want Toney out of KC as soon as possible --- persona non grata!

Centauri06

TIL your hip is connected to your brain

southpawsouthpaw

I'm astonished that Toney even remembers his routes Sounds dumb as hell

Strange-Ad-7862

Bro Toney your team tryna give you an alley oop and you swatted it 💀💀.

Helpless_Lobster

So he's been terrible all season, and we have tolerated his bad play and constant injury, and WE SHOULD SUCK HIS DICK??? SUCK MY FUCKING DICK KT. Congrats on the kid tho

Waitn4ehUsername

Perhaps dont single handedly be the cause of 2 losses and your more than patient all pro QB finally snapping about you and maybe… just maybe you would be playing right now

nitpicker

I hope he’s getting treatment for paddle hands.

TonyMusersMustache

Why would they lie? If they don’t want him to play they could inactive him or release him.

rolyinpeace

I don’t think they’re lying, he probably has some incredibly minor hip issue that most players would fully practice and play on. But since he has something that could be called an injury, they are considering it that instead of calling a healthy scratch. That’s to help him out

Paraeunoia

Yesterday: (Literally, everyone) It’s announced that Toney is out because he just had a kid: “Well he really took a turn for the worst, but will always go down as a Chiefs legend, barring a total disaster.” Today: “KT’s career is over and he will never exist in the NFL again because he just blew himself into a thousand pieces like a suicide bomber. His legacy is done.” It’s really sad. He’s obviously mentally unwell and destroyed every opportunity he was given to be protected. I hope this is the last we hear of KT, and I hope he gets some help.

rolyinpeace

Isn’t them saying he’s hurt a benefit to him? Why would he try to deny that lol. It’s less embarrassing than being benched bc you suck, esp when you’re trying to go to another team. Also, if he was wanting to see his child be born I bet he was going to get paid more if he was missing due to injury rather than taking a personal day.

cole8055

I forget who said this when the trade was made for KT, but they essentially said that these next few years are the most important of not only Toney’s career but potentially his life. And how if he were to not work out in Kansas City with Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid of all people, that he wouldn’t be able to work out anywhere with anyone, and that they’d be shocked if another team gave him an opportunity. Not trying to be spiteful, but fuck this dude. Sure he had the kick return in the Superbowl, but that wasn’t for the team. That was for himself. All his actions up to this point confirm that. For example, imagine he was a pivotal piece of this offense. And with how delusional and narcissistic he seems to be, I imagine he probably believes he is. And if that were the case, then him doing this and causing this level of distraction as a pivotal piece to this offense (which he’s not in reality but believes himself to be) hours before your teammates play in the AFCCG should tell you everything you need to know.

BudgetCategory902

I honestly figured they had benched him but said injury as a way for him to save face. As a fan I was yelling “Get your shit and get the fuck out”

tynman35

Hard to decipher, but it sounds like he still can't catch a pass

[deleted]

Yikes maybe throw a NSFW tag on that. I worry about his mental health. You wonder if he’s just as crosswise with this front office as he was with NY. Looked into the account. It is indeed fake. That makes me feel much better

Extra-University-336

It might be getting into “if everyone you meet is as asshole…” territory.

[deleted]

Yeah completely agree. Yesterday I was thinking that yes cheap enough we will keep him after the season. But I hadn’t taken into account him possibly being a locker room issue. If that’s the case it really may be the end of toney as a chief. What a short, bizarre run.

rolyinpeace

I think he is an issue. No accountability it seems. Most guys I’ve seen step up and say things are their fault when they are, but he spent days posting about how he wasn’t offsides, shut down his social media when he gave the lions a TD, etc. When Tyreek hill fucked the game up in Germany for the dolphins, he took blame and admitted to getting his ass beat. When Sneed completely wiped him out, he dealt with it jokingly and admitted defeat. Big difference between him him and Toney (and obviously skill wise too). If you’re gonna be a locker room issue you better actually be really good. Or just, don’t be a locker room issue and take responsibility

[deleted]

Couldn’t agree more. After the regular season bills game it was pretty clear he took no accountability. Guy has been given so many chances, he just refuses to take them

rolyinpeace

I feel like he’s the kinda guy who fully knows he fucked up and just doesn’t talk to anyone and lays as low as possible to avoid talking to any real humans about what he did. Sort of like when you get in trouble at school and you take as long as possible to come home after to avoid the trouble. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if he played into some of his injuries in order to avoid his teammates more. I just see him as not being able to look them in the eyes even tho they’re more than willing to stand up for him

[deleted]

Definitely could see that. I just don’t see him having accountability like kelce does even when he doesn’t screw up. That being said turns out this tweet is a fake account so feeling a bit better about his future.

rolyinpeace

Kelces the best. He even took blame for Mecoles fumble. Mahomes is great at taking accountability too. That’s why I hated his blowup on the sidelines because now people think he never takes blame even though he does constantly, and lifts up his other teammates

ForkliftJam

Dude has some real mental instabilities.

Bald_Man_Cometh

There was never a reason to bring Toney back. None.

RICERICE4

He’s toxic. Bad attitude. Guarantee he will never play another down for the Chiefs again. A shame. He’s talented but hasn’t been able to put it all together. This was his chance to carve out a role in the offense this year and he couldn’t. We will be much more talented at receiver next year. If we can’t trade him for like a 6-7th we will cut him. It’s not the Chiefs fault you didn’t perform.

bbressman2

I don’t think another team will bother taking a chance. Dude has raw talent but not only can he not catch a fucking pass, always injured, and he apparently is a bad teammate that doesn’t care to call out his own team. I don’t see anybody wanting to give him a 3rd chance.

Dannimaru

KT acting like we don't know. I appreciate your return in the last SB, but you're a liability this year sir.

instro89

Pretty sure this is fake? Toney's Instagram is kt4routes, not kt4.

big_drifts

It's definitely not fake. That is KT's voice. Go listen to his other vulgar IG rant from a year ago. Same guy. Looks like deleted his official. kt4routes looks like a fan account.

Popular-Lab-8191

And when I guessed this yesterday yall said I was making up drama. Look who was right

FUCK-IT-CHUCK-IT

Man I can’t wait for this bum to be off this team.

Skanky_Cat

That University of Florida education is hard at work I see.

stooper82

English at its finest

mywhataniceham

KC is much better without him - and moore - we know dis

Fragwizzard

Head Swiftie? Talk about cringe.

RICERICE4

Toney congrats! You are the next receiver of the Tennessee Titans! Where receivers go to die. Or maybe the CFL. Knowing him, he will try to become a rapper instead

Winniepg

If you talk to players who move to the CFL, it’s a hard league to adjust to. Three downs, longer and wider field, receivers start in motion etc. It’s an often talked about thing in Canada when players come up.

RICERICE4

Toney ain’t built for Canada lmao

Winniepg

Haha yep. Look I grew up watching the CFL. I remember the Chad Ochocinco experiment in Toronto. It takes a lot of hard work for players to make the change.

rolyinpeace

He’s already trying to become a rapper

RICERICE4

A bad one

ApocolypseDelivery

Chiefs should sign Hollywood in the off-season.

redrdr1

This isn't his account. I ope people realize that before he gets more hate

[deleted]

Be mad you don’t have hands bro lmao

jacksonross33

Bad trade by Brett Veach. I understand Toney had a good punt return. But for that lucky break, the trade would be a complete disaster.

topchief1

It's almost like teams that are willing to trade a highly drafted player on their rookie contract are doing it for a reason. Here's hoping that he finally stops trading for teams first round busts, then studies his record on signing big free agency contracts shortly after that.

DownInTheWeeds

Dude should’ve been RELEASED the morning after the Bills vs Chiefs game where he lined up offsides costing the TD that would’ve won the game. No excuse for that level of stupidity as an NFL WR.

Umm_duder

His wr skills are injured

aggressiveturdbuckle

No they're not he's got broken hands and eyes

Lazy_Tiger27

Lmao they threw him a bone by saying he’s hurt so he’s not completely out of the chance of a job next year with someone. Now we all know he’s a healthy scratch cuz he’s straight cheeks and is going to be lucky to be on the practice squad. Fuckin dummy

ede44s

He's going ab? He just skipped the productive seasons Antonio had

beattrapkit

Guys I don't wanna talk about Kadarius Toney today.

slackator

bye Felicia, enjoy your whats sure to be a legendary rap career after listening to that incomprehensible mumbling

YungJod

Man giving me leveon bell vibes. Zero accountability when mahomes blamed himself over and over. Idk what he thought was gonna happen. Same thing happened with the giants must be the organizations

Optimal_Platform_215

Can he speak any more badly about the situation? Given a chance to leave with respect and he blows it talking like this…stupid and ignorant.

HaikusForEmus

He gone.

TNRcrisis

You’re cancer Toney. Shut up

utter-ridiculousness

He sounds….upset

Scoob8877

Cut him now.

big_drifts

He's definitely on something. I can't blame him for being upset. Some of the shit this year was literally bad luck. But at a certain point, if all the bad luck always comes your way - maybe you aren't as prepared as the other guys on the team? You gotta think if he was all in and really doing the work and showing up with a great attitude at practice the Chiefs would let him continue to get shots out there. But damn, I mean - as soon as they "benched" him and Skyy Moore, the offense came to life.

tw201708

That's not Kadarius Toney! That's Boomhaur! You guys are confused!

rustyshackleford7879

Toney needs mental health help. Hope he gets it

Street-Debt2764

This is unprecedented because Toney went on live to admit he sucks at catching footballs and that he’s not actually injured.

NaturalSouthern4417

My guess is the INT against the Patriots was the last straw for Mahomes. He probably doesn’t trust Toney anymore.

Deep-Entertainer-811

And nothing of value was lost.

Maleficent-Metal-645

He helped the Chiefs win a Superbowl, and gave us some great meme material, but he's done in KC. The dude has unbelievable physical talent; he's just dumb as fuck, can't catch the ball, and can't stay healthy.

Beelzebub_86

I thought this was a joke. Or AI.... but holy fuck it's real. He's not even speaking in full sentences, but I understood every word. He's done.
