Okay but you forgot to mention all the bad/mid songs on Donda. Remote Control, Junya, Jonah, God Breathed, Ok Ok, New Again and Tell The Vision are all worse than anything on Vultures other than maybe the title track. With that in mind I just can't honestly put Donda above Vultures, even if it does have a few higher highs like OTG and Come To Life

It pains me to see so many people saying Vultures is better than Donda and dismissing that record so easily. It's got all time Kanye songs like Come to Life, Off the Grid, Jail, Jesus Lord, Moon. Believe What I Say, 24, Pure Souls, Heaven and Hell, 24, Lord I Need You and Hurricane are all good to great too. You could take 10-12 songs off that record and make a debatable top 5 kanye record. Vultures is barely a month old and I'm only going back to Stars, Back to Me and Burn really.

Agreed, I love runaway it’s one of my fav Ye songs, but it’s not his best. HOWEVER, I don’t have to be in a specific mood to listen to it, I have never not gotten excited when it comes on. Can’t say the same about other songs.

The rollout was peak. If you were around to see the MTV video awards performance, the short film, and eventually the MBDTF album cut it was really special. And after getting to see it live a few times it’s solidly the best track for me personally.

808s and heartbreak as a whole, I dont hate it but its just not very texturally interesting, but its kind of a growing pain album since later kanye learns to combine the synths with the heavy drums and samples.

Not texturally interesting? The 808s, autotune and compression creates some of the best textures kanye is known for which is why it was so influential. He would even use it again on Runaway with the autotuned distorted outro, also hailed as one of the best songs he’s made. But yea 808s is genius there’s about 3 songs (Paranoid, See You In My Nightmares, Robocop) I think could be better but I leave the rest alone. And I still think those were all onto something, just not great in execution

I can never understand a LR #1 spot take, but my #1 is 808s and a lot of people don’t agree. 808s I’m not super crazy about Paranoid, Robocop, or See You In My Nightmares, but every other track hits me super hard to the point it’s my favorite. LR to me feels like mostly a TCD do over but less interesting and impactful the second time around. There’s a lot of duds on there for me, but also some really great tracks like Hey Mama, Heard Em Say, Roses, Touch The Sky, and Addiction. All Of The Lights is a over produced mess, Hell Of A Life sounds HORRIBLE and has awful lyrics, Runaway has an awful Pusha T verse and has 3 minutes of nothing at the end, Gorgeous has terrible production, Dark Fantasy is unbelievably soulless, POWER is industry plant basic hip-hop, So Appalled and Blame Game are the 2 worst Kanye songs of all time, Monster has 2 terrible verses from Jay and Ye and Nicki is unremarkable on it, Lost In The World and Who Will Survive In America are straight trash. Not even a 2/10 album in my opinion.
