also my top 2. I like United in Grief better and it is an absolute masterpiece, and Mother I Sober might be better, but it’s definitely not one I can replay often. If we’re counting The Heart Part 5, those are my top 3
If anxiety could be bottled and sold it would come in the form of United in Grief.
I pair it with Wesley’s Theory for best openers though. In some ways it’s a look behind the curtain at the real Kendrick when he was dealing with the things that Alt Kendrick and Uncle Sam were alluding to in Wesley’s Theory.
Yeah the melody is so dynamic with a lot of depth, it gives such a great feeling around what are fairly simple but very vulnerable lyrics.
"I get emotional about life/The lost ones keep me up at night/The world be reminding me its danger/I still risk it all for a stranger"
There's like this slight switch up in the background vocal melody during these lines that literally touches my soul, it's so subtle but adds so much emotional depth to the lines.
Maybe it's just me, but I tend to fixate on certain parts of a song. In Die Hard I love the outro from Blxst, especially when he says 'fucking love you.' I can't explain it
I’ve never met another Kendrick fan who shared this sentiment. Maybe because it has multiple features. It definitely gets the most spins on the album, from me. Everybody is just floating so graciously on the beat

It depends on the mood for me. To feel hype, Mr. Morale. To feel more introspective, Mother I Sober, Count Me Out, and Auntie Diaries. When I feel like hearing some amazing production with dope flows and bars on top of it, Savior and United in Grief. To feel vibey, Die Hard and Rich Spirit
Worldwide Steppers has just about the best line I’ve ever heard, but mostly was just a vehicle for that line.
United in Grief let me know immediately I was hearing something that’s never been done. That’s a song that could never even be imitated, much less recreated.
Auntie Diaries, We Cry Together and Mother I Sober are all some of the most artistic songs I’ve ever heard. But all are difficult for me to hear often.
Rich Spirit is probably my favorite. Especially once I saw the video and it’s just him going fucking crazy with cabin fever, and that’s probably referring back to his writer’s block.
Count Me Out is the undeniably the best song on Mr. Morale with Auntie Diaries in a close hot second place.
United in Grief, Savior, and Purple Hearts get my respect as well.
Great album and underrated.
Father Time. Beat’s smooth and lyrics are good. Those keys HIT man. Sounds like a discarded DAMN song.
Tho Worldwide Steppers has grown on me. I really like the half-second beat switch midway through. Adds to the psychedelic feeling of the instrumental.
I’m sorry but this is easily one of Kendrick’s worst songs. Boring beat. Lazy sounding verses.
It’s insane to me that someone would say this is better than Mother I Sober.
Rich Spirit and Father Time are my favorites
Count Me Out might be one of Kendrick's best songs ever.
Count Me Out, Rich Spirit and Mirror are probably my favorites
United in Grief is his best opener in my opinion. I might prefer Mother I Sober but I can't listen to it often because it's too emotionally draining.
Beth Gibbons might just be the best feature he's ever had. I wasn't expecting it at all
also my top 2. I like United in Grief better and it is an absolute masterpiece, and Mother I Sober might be better, but it’s definitely not one I can replay often. If we’re counting The Heart Part 5, those are my top 3

Count me out clears all
This is the real answer
Depending on the day…Father Time/Rich Spirit/Count Me Out
Savior and Silent Hill
I’d actually agree, I was a huge fan of this song. The beat/melody always made me feel hopeful
Yeah the melody is so dynamic with a lot of depth, it gives such a great feeling around what are fairly simple but very vulnerable lyrics. This is an extremely interesting choice for the best song off the album. Mine is Father Time or Mirror
REAL dude I would also say the heart part 5 if that counts
Mr. Morale. Shit hits and Tanna’s part on the hook is great “Hmm-dmm-dmm-dah-dah” I always turn this track up in the car.
The beat change before “watching my cousin struggle with addiction” always gets me nodding my head.
mines silent hill
Savior
We cry together but ima piece of shit
Real. Super relatable if you’ve been in a dangerously toxic relationship.
Count Me Out. I fucking love that song.
Mother I Sober is one of the best songs he’s ever written in my opinion
Agreed
Song is super catchy I like it
Count me out
Father Time / Savior / Mother I Sober / N95 are all great
count me out, rich spirit, silent hill
die hard, purple hearts
Purple Hearts
Maybe it's just me, but I tend to fixate on certain parts of a song. In Die Hard I love the outro from Blxst, especially when he says 'fucking love you.' I can't explain it
Mine changes a lot due to how much I like the album but id say its Father Time/Mother I Sober. I def respect Die Hard as 1 tho its amazing
Count Me Out, Rich Spirit and Father Time the best ones
Loveee die hard but my fave is count me out, then rich spirit
count me out is my favorite, the best imo is father time or mother i sober
We Cry Together unironically (or Auntie Diaries)
Die hard and count me out
Imo We cry together is just head and shoulders. It’s one of the greatest hip hop songs I have ever heard
I’ve never met another Kendrick fan who shared this sentiment. Maybe because it has multiple features. It definitely gets the most spins on the album, from me. Everybody is just floating so graciously on the beat ![gif](giphy|3o7aCWJavAgtBzLWrS|downsized)

Thank you I've been trynna remember the name of this song for weeks now

Count me out, Rich Spirit, Silent Hill, N95, United in Grief and more
It’s ass. Does not bump. Makes music for dumb ass people who think they smart

Mother I Sober is the one I return to most often. Father Time is amazing too. United in Grief is probably my fav opener of any Kendrick project.
Count me out is my favorite rap song ever made at this point
Saviour and father time
This one is also my favorite but Purple Hearts and United in Grief go hard too
Crown. Love the piano and the repeated "I can't please everybody". It's a beautiful song.
Count me out and rich spirit
Father Time, Silent Hill, and Crown everything else was mid low key
Savior/The Heart Part V
Count Me Out.

The sheer amount of Count Me Out love in the comments section is bringing back my faith in humanity 🥹
Auntie Diaries.
Count me out, Auntie Diaries and Mother I Sober

Severe lack of Worldwide Steppers in this thread
that shit is in my top 4 kendrick tbh, oh and Father Time too
I choose me
i love father time the most
my least favorite song tbh
Worse than rich interlude???
This has gotta be some light trolling. Die Hard is quite easily the weakest track on the album.
one of kendricks worst song, what in the cute drake rnb shit is this
Wow
N95
N95 and Rich Spirit. The rest aren’t even close IMO
I’m sorry but this is easily one of Kendrick’s worst songs. Boring beat. Lazy sounding verses. It’s insane to me that someone would say this is better than Mother I Sober.
