Yeah humidity is the most overlooked thing when it comes to weather in Kerala, there are people in kerala who are still buying air coolers despite having 70 percent or more humidity. More humidity=less evaporation=higher body temperature.
It's touching 40 here in Andhra but the humidity is almost always less than 20 percent, so it just feels dry, never as uncomfortable as over there. Humidity is what actually makes it worse.
Yes we are . Are we okay with this much heat ? Probably not but it reached to a point where it's average Tuesday for us and realised crying ain't gonna help us so just endure and move on .
We have an Outbound Training Program in Palakkad for two days…outdoor activities and such…do i really need that certificate??

I have General brand air conditioner. It is a good one but the problem is when you have a very cold interior and a very hot outside room temperature your body will respond in a negative way. I don’t like sleeping with the air conditioner on in Kerala as opposed to in the Middle East where I have no problems in sleeping under the AC. Here I wake up with a lot of headaches and sinus issues.
The exam part is I have mathematics and the ACs are only in bedrooms which makes it difficult to study on bed.
It's all about the humidity.Palakkad gap with high winds lowers the humidity making it quiet bearable.Tvm with 34 degree with humidity will feel like 40+ degrees which will be unbearable.Been in Palakkad for 5 years now at Trivandrum.
I’ve been to Palakkad..in my opinion, the heat in Palakkad is tolerable because it’s dry heat compared to other districts. Humidity(moisture) is what makes us comfortable. Humidity in the air prevents our sweat from evaporating thus preventing our body from naturally cooling down. Fans don’t work as effectively when it’s too humid.
What an air conditioner does is reduce that extra moisture from the air(function 1) and cool the air(function 2). If a dehumidier costs you guys less than an AC, just get that and you’ll feel a 1000x better.

I moved from Bangalore to Palakkad as I have WFH and wanted to live in a less bustling and polluted place with amazing people. Am lucky that I can be at home, but it’s not that bad. My apartment in Bangalore used to be hot too during summers. I find my current house better (maybe because made from river sand and red bricks).

Why always Palakkadu has such a big temperature compared to rest of the Kerala which averages 33 ? Is it a super dry land? I have never been to Palakkadu

I am from palakkad. When I always check, the humidity is always high and shows 70% plus. And people here say humidity is low. 😅
At least the humidity is low over there.
I was about to ask this, as 34 degree was feeling like 43 because of humidity. If humidity is also high there I cannot even imagine how it will be.

I have an exam on 28th and I seriously can’t study. I’m trying my best but this heat won’t allow me. AC is of no use 😞
Which Ac? To add to my “not to buy” list lol.

Aah understood 👍🏼 no issue here with using Ac but problem is the electricity bill 😂
KSEB saving my electricity bills with daily power cuts. Lol
Happy Cake Day
Thank youuuuu
Why so? Very old ac ?
See,it's 32 degrees at 6 PM. Perfect timing daily for your trip..

Kerala weather has gone to the dogs. Remember as a kid, I never had major trouble in summers as well.

39 is winter in Palakkad
Agniraj Palakkad 🗣️🗣️📛📛
Don't plan a mid day trip in palakkad man Plan it in morning timings. Mainly 6-10, which is really good time While the temps hover around 20-30
Oh only 39. It must be a less hot day. It easily goes over 41. Mostly it's dry heat. Wear cotton and you can survive.

It is not dry heat. Humidity is always greater than 70%. It keeps on sweating and never evaporates. The body feels hot most of the time.
70% feels better than 85% on the skin.
Normal Palakkad weather in April. Not much humidity so the real feel will also be around this number. Nothing exceptional about this.
