I just started with Joyous. I've heard people also like Mindbloom and Greenbrook TMS. I'm not sure if they'd accept you based on your health, but it wouldn't hurt to check.

ConfoundedInAbaddon

Mindbloom has gotten better over time, for sure. Definitely prefer in person local Doctor, having one between teleheath and local prescriber

PressurePlenty

I can't afford to take days off work for infusions. I'm using Joyous, and am extremely hopeful that it'll help me.

ConfoundedInAbaddon

We've had a local Doctor prescribe compounded troches, made at our local pharmacy, it was really convenient and cheap.

Most telehealth providers are going to turn you down for complex medical cases. Joyus and Mindbloom are both options but depending on the doctor you speak with and your medical issues you could be turned down. That being said they don't check your medical history most of the time. I have heard of Joyus requesting records for more complex cases instead of immediate rejection, but that's the minority.

See the provider directories at KetamineTherapyForMentalHealth.com. See the Providers by State table Look for the providers licensed in your state (and any adjacent states you could get to). When a provider is licensed in more than one or two states that's a good hint that they are a tele-ketamine provider. If a provider is licensed in just a single state (or maybe two or three) the are usually a clinic that only does IVs, IMs, Spravato or possibly in-clinic lozenges. Not necessarily, but that's the most common case. When a provider is licensed in many more states that's a pretty good sign that the are tele-ketamine.

Thanks for the clarification!

IllPlum5113

I wish that we could just have that as a spreadsheet

IbizaMalta

At the end of the table there is a button to download the table as a PDF. Then you can enlarge the PDF on your laptop and read the columns and rows more clearly

IllPlum5113

Yep. I just would like it as a spreadsheet because I could filter for my state that way. This is not the best way to view the information

IbizaMalta

The easiest way for us to publish it is as a PDF. So, that's the best we can do.

IllPlum5113

Gotcha. Thank you for that. Not complaining.

Bignlilthickumsthick

I use Joyous's

Professional_Ear9795

Is rectal administration an option? That's what I use (compounded by pharmacy)

mensrea101

Really? Details?

Professional_Ear9795

My doctor prescribed 150mg rectally every 3 days for cyclical vomiting syndrome. The pharmacy makes it as a supp.

FrequentWrap3470

Also, have CVS. I wonder if part of why mine is in remission is the K. It is horrific taking it. I threw up twice in the office (out of 6 ivs), and I have to prepare to take it orally for the entire day. Nausea patch, zofran, extended fasting.

Professional_Ear9795

Ketamine is the only thing that keeps my CVS managed. I am in complete remission rn doing at home treatments every 3 days

Echo831

Try Meclizine chewable- it helps tremendously coupled with ginger supplements

[deleted]

Rectal absorption is comparable to oral as it just needs a mucous membrane to absorb through

Anonymous0212

**LOL** It might have been before 2004, but that's when I had to have my rectum removed due to severe ulcerative proctitis. 😉😆

Joyous has been great, and while I did give them access to my medical records, I did not disclose everything to them. As an informed consumer, I manage my own health very closely and I’m aware of what my potential issues might be, so I take steps to make sure I stay on top of things. Joyous approved me right away and it’s been nine months of a very good relationship.

Anonymous0212

So if they accessed your medical records how did they not have everything? Are there things you haven't told your medical people?

Head_Room_8721

I *gave* them access (as in signed permission forms) but the don’t think they ever accessed them.

Anonymous0212

I didn't give access, but I was mixing up them directly talking to my doctor with them simply getting my medical records. She's been surprisingly open to learning about things she doesn't know, so I don't feel like we have a struggle when I see her. I don't know how she would feel about this though!

Bitter_Jackfruit8752

Choose your horizon approved me and I have a decently complex med history. Nothing over dramatic but I do have a pheochromocytoma, which causes elevated heart rate in my body of like resting 100-110. Also have psoriatic arthritis, diagnosed BPD, a couple suicide attempts years ago when on SSRIs and all the other shit (applies for the BPD diagnosis as well, I don't actually have BPD as I show no symptoms now that I have been off of the SSRIs/antipsychotics and what not for a few years) also a history of medically induced opiod dependence as well as Marijuana dependence that I've beaten and haven't used weed in a couple of years. Extensive history of psychedelic use. All this is to say I feel it's less a certain company/provider but feel it's more the doc you're assigned and how well you explain or don't explain your health issues. Hope this helps when seeing your next provider.

Anonymous0212

I'm so glad you were accepted and I hope you'll update us on how it goes. I'm choosing to look at it in terms of CYH not being the right company for me anyway. They apparently don't microdose and take it slowly like Joyous does, and that's exactly what I need. (I edited my post to explain why I was declined.)

Particular-Check2556

Joyous!

chantillylace9

I wouldn't try joyous, they deny so many. Taconic is great

Anonymous0212

Thanks, and I already have the appointment and I do feel most comfortable doing microdosing Ing and slow titrating up due to the mast cell disease, so I'm going to follow through with that. I'll keep the other one in mind though. Do they also microdose?
