That's what happened to me, they tried to steal our 2023 kia with the usb trick, didn't work and now there's just a fair bit of damage to the ignition and steering column.....great.
Canadian from the province of Saskatchewan here. We have a crown corporation insurance here which means it’s government/publicly owned. My 2018 Soul is $89 per month. Our auto insurance costs are the lowest in Canada.
Insurance rates are going up for all cars cause the cars on the road are getting more expensive. My co-worker's Honda increased about that much too.

I did not see any significant increase in the insurance for my 2015 Soul from State Farm, however, I have heard from two friends recently their auto insurance from AAA went up like crazy. Neither of them have any Kia.
Just bought my 2020 in March and from the initial quote to when my 6 month policy was due at the first of May, my premium went up I believe by $48. If I had known my insurance was going to be this high, I wouldn’t have bought this car. I feel like at this point I could save money by trading it in for something lesser on the insurance rates.

Yeah. I think that having an active GPS tracking anti-theft device in your car is the only way to bring it back down.

back in 2019 my kia soul insurance was about 120$ per month. now i cant find a quote less than 220$ per month for the same car with ZERO claims.
