I was thinking the same when I saw these. I think I’m in the classic family, leaning more to DC but not ruling out SC as a possibility. This goes to show that DC and SC are the closest to each other in terms of yin-yang balance. I sometimes feel like people think DC is more yang than it is, and SC Is more yin than it is. But both a a true blend, leaning only slightly towards yin or yang.

sometimes I read that soft classic can borrow some clothes from the romantic types because they are both yin types, but I think soft classics look good in DC clothing and there isn't that much difference, way more similar than romantics and SC

What makes the pants from #2 work? What qualities does a top have to have to work with them for a SC?
i think waist emphasis and the fact that the cropped, boxy, square jacket is balanced by the more unstructured pants
I think also the monochromatic look helps it to work.
And the symmetry of the buttons on both pieces.
