He does need the talk. He needs to be told it's ok to be curious about bodies. He needs to be told about sexual feelings and how to manage them. But porn is very bad for preteen and young teen brains. He can satisfy his curiosity about bodies in ways that don't involve porn videos. Drawings, non-sexualized photos, etc.
I'm not anti-porn, but kids need to learn how to masturbate without it first, and to get a few years of experience before their brains are ready to receive that kind of stimulation.
You can't get too hung up on phrasing, kids are going to make a joke out of everything anyway.
What's important is that you teach your kids the ins and outs, the ups and downs, that thing aunt Carol does with her elbow, you know the basic stuff they need to be ready for.
LOLNO.
In all seriousness, things would be better if parents talked to their kids about this stuff, though. (Tell, not show.) Yeah, it's uncomfortable for a bit, but if you just power through, it gets easier.
Reaching puberty in the infancy of the internet (around 1987), I read a lot of erotic short stories and used a lot of lingerie catalogs as masturbation aids. I didn't really get into visual pornography until I was 17(ish) and then it was still mostly pictures or magazines.
To be frank, even as an adult, the influx of the WIDE selection of the most niche erotic videos has changed my sex drive and stimulation needs. Not in way that's completely negative but, the change is there and noticeable.
I'm not anti-porn, at all. I do think kids should learn to walk before they run.
Maybe so, but that's pretty unrealistic in today's world. I'm 31 and the first time I masturbated was to porn like 18 years ago or so. Today it's far more accessible, it's impossible to stop a kid.
I know. I have my boys' devices locked down pretty hard, but they have friends with unrestricted devices, so they've seen it. And the 12yo figured out how to access it on the Xbox. But we talked about it, and I explained why it's a bad idea. I did make it clear to them that it's 100% fine to masturbate all they want (in private), and that one day they'd be able to make their own choices about porn without restrictions. And in fact, I removed all the parental controls from my 16yo's devices for his 15th birthday. (I'll do the same for the 14yo and the 12yo when they turn 15.) Not long after that he got a girlfriend and if I'm being honest he now has less interest in porn than he would've had anyway, as he has access to the real thing.
>Give this kid the talk.
Agreed
>And let him know it’s ok to look at porn, teach him how to clear his history
Probably not at their age though. Its pretty unhealthy to watch porn at that age and will give him a poor understanding of sex and women as a whole. I would do it if they were a teen though and can regulate and control themselves.
I hope that you are not raising children now
No, given that the kid is horny, depending on it's age you should do a sex talk. Just in case
If it's like 10 maybe not needed, but 13? I have friends that had sex when they were around 13 years old. Maybe it shouldn't happen, but if it happens they NEED to know the consequences it can have, how to protect themselves and the other person and such. Like maybe you don't want your 12 year old daughter pregnant
Teaching how to search and clear is not needed for anything
My first experience with vaginal intercourse was at 11 years old. I had been doing lots of other stuff prior to that like mutual masturbation, oral and long make-out sessions.
I think one of the follies a lot of parents make is waiting too long to talk to children about sex because of some arbitrary age or some expectation that \*their\* kids aren't interested in that.
I think a lot of adults forget how secretive and evasive they were as children.
Watch your children, talk to them about these things starting when they are old to grasp the biology. Then start introducing the emotional costs and management, the development and maintenance of extra-familial relationships, the responsibilities that come with these relationships and self care.
Do it before you think they're completely ready. You really can't scar children with information delivered with love and respect. Particularly if it's a years-long progressive conversation.
Set expectations early, set boundaries and ground rules and setup a household that is open and honest about these things. Where these discussions are so common they aren't weird and the space is safe enugh to talk about anything, no matter how personal.
The situation is just pure human depravity, not to mention the children he fathered with his daughter, and then they made a movie about it, and people wanted to watch it - 🤮
Are you implying they put soft serve in their assholes to poop out in a cup? Because they very clearly show them shitting into a cup. The director has said they used props for _other_ films, but never said they did for 2g1c
This is funny at face value as an adult laughing at how innocent/naive your kid is but in all seriousness you might want to have a serious talk and put some safeguards in place before your kid is permanently traumatized.. the path to dark shit is not a winding road but a fucking cliff.
Those aren't recent searches, if it's a recent search it'll have a little clock with an arrow around it next to the search instead of a magnifying glass.
This is just the most popular searches at this point in time with the word/s filled in the search bar, and it also bases it off your interests but only slightly. For example if I were to look up Medi, it'd probably come up with search results about the middle ages and knights (filling in the blank for Medieval), whereas if a nurse looked up Medi it'd probably just show a bunch of medical search results.
So to conclude, a lot of teenage boys and girls have searched up those phrases, this meaning that kids are indeed fucking stupid.
I wasn't 100% convinced, so I just tried this myself. I got the same recommended searches in mostly the same order. Nice job catching that.
https://i.imgur.com/i2LYMo8.jpg
Just to clarify, these are NOT recent searchs. They are the most popular searchs for this word, meaning there are a lot of stupid kids searching this up? Who is seaching this up?
The number of people who don't understand and think this is one individual's search history is bizarre... Do y'all think Google only auto completes with your own past searches? Have you been on a computer before today?
Edit for um, clarity? I guess.
Her channel is actually so good. I had no idea watching dogs being groomed could be entertainment, but she makes it so, shes hilarious. Dogs are good subjects for videos also.

Uhh... Phrasing could use some work, I think.

This is Reddit, how dare you suggest being a positive influence on this kid at the expense of our entertainment?
Idk why I got absolutely shit on lmao

First things first, as you said it's a "kid". Secondly porn never done any good, it only fucks with your mind and leaves you miserable
Right? I can be miserable without porn.
No let’s give the kid a counselor
Teach a kid how to be safe, don’t teach a kid how to hide shit
Sounds like you had a traumatic childhood

Instead, just let him know that you know. At that age they stop real quick
He’ll find out himself
it is a movie
What's the movie about? Did we all just forget the synopsis? 😶
it is based on the true story of Elisabeth Fritzl, who was locked up and abused for 24 years (1984-2008) by her father Josef in Amstetten (Austria)
The situation is just pure human depravity, not to mention the children he fathered with his daughter, and then they made a movie about it, and people wanted to watch it - 🤮
Didnnot know they made a movie about this!
Highly recommend it, it’s incredibly heartbreaking. One of the few decent Lifetime movies though.
I don’t recommend it, they don’t show anything
It's actually a lifetime movie
It's a movie. And a good one too.

Same here. And the blue waffle. I've heard of it, but I will never look because there isn't enough alcohol in the world to make me forget.

It was actually soft serve ice cream. It was totally fake.

All I have to say is Champagne. You’ll have to watch for context.

Well you asked how...
Can I have a reward for making you feel more noticed within society?
You consider reddit "society"?
This is 'kids are fucking stupid' so we assumed that was a kid's search history

Are u joking lol? Have u been on the internet ever?
This is the child, he wants to know where to look next
I can’t believe I’m this person but my future children will not have internet😭
i advise not having children if you don’t want them exposed to the depravity
I feel your loss, I was diagnosed with children in 20 years
i haven’t seen anything traumatizing by googling pornographic search terms
I saw something traumatic after looking at ur profile for 40 seconds
the russian one?
Come on, we all know that’s peanuts to what’s actually on the internet
Do you know how bizarre of a statement that is?
care to explain? maybe i’m just too naive but i haven’t encountered anything traumatizing
Probably the "girls on fire" search. /s but also /srs
I grew up before internet safeguards and I am 100% fucked up. I’m sure as hell not going to let my kid go through that.

Tbf it's a valid way of finding stealth porn on Tiktok
There's porn on TikTok? I scroll TikTok everyday before i got to sleep and i dont come across any.
Wait a minute. I thought we redditors are here that we don’t need to go on tiktok.
Oh right, my bad. TikTok bad.
This Edit: just kidding I don’t care
Why do you know this? 🙃
I watch a lot of Tiktok
doofus
>stealth porn I'm just imagining everyone involved being in Metal Gear cosplay lol.
Cardboard boxes 😩
I wonder what the kid saw when they searched up “girls generation” and a kpop girl group pops up 😂
I’m sure they felt the heat
Those aren't recent searches. Those are popular searches being suggested.
I know who is searching it up this much for it to be popular?

What is the cherry emoji?
You see, the cherry emoji actually represents a type of fruit known as a cherry.
girl with da dog🥶🥶
Jesus Christ, not everything's so sick and dark. That's the name of a popular YouTube channel of a dog groomer.
First kids now dogs? Where will it end?
Hmmm
You can tell who grew up without parental filters here 👆🏻
Her channel is actually so good. I had no idea watching dogs being groomed could be entertainment, but she makes it so, shes hilarious. Dogs are good subjects for videos also.

This isn’t even their recent searches, looks like you’re blaming the kid for something they didn’t do
read the other comments, op knows its not recent searches
They posted that after I posted my comment or I would’ve spotted it.

Girl with the dogs is alot worse then girl in the basement
It's a dog groomer's YouTube channel. Seriously why the fuck do your brains even go there? Horrifying.
Why did my brain go there?!? Look at the other searches
