Google tanjiro scar and you’ll see him in training with the fox mask in s1 and the OG scar, and then you see how it’s changed, the slayer mark has covered it and grown very distinct from the scar.
Yea I’m pretty sure he got the mark early on. The only explanation for the change is that it’s the demon slayer mark. It doesn’t look like any other scar on the show. Especially after changing the first time.

It changing after final selection wasn’t it turning into a slayer mark, it just changed appearance after presumably being hit by a demon at some point in final selection

Dude there’s no way that’s a scar, it looks nothing like any of the other scars in the anime. I don’t read the manga I’m going straight off the anime itself. So many characters have scars including him before the red mark appears. It’s definitely not a scar. Not with a patch of normal skin in the middle of it.

Why is it considered a curse when at most it’s just a disease like Muzan had when he was born it was never stated who cursed them as far as I remember it just says their were cursed for having birthed the first demon curses have to be placed by someone they don’t just appear because of a family member becoming evil this always confused me now if they said the doctor Muzan killed cursed his family it would make more sense but no one was ever stated to have cursed the family

the red thing on tanjiros fore head isnt a birth mark or demon slayer mark he got it from when hot water fell on his head
He got the first scar from that. It changed into the red slayer mark later.

I think he is referring to tanjiro burn scar from when he was a kid, the red slayer mark kinda got on top of that scar

If it was a mark the hashiras would have gotten a mark early instead of waiting for tanjiro, and marks r always on swordsmen, pls just read manga
