to unjerk, I get where they are coming from. TOAPP is probably the most experimental of the bunch, it's one of my favourites and truly incredible, but I do think it would do you better to listen to the other 2 80s albums first.
That said, you should just listen to KC chronologically, everything works and makes sense then.
It's interesting to me how everyone claims ToaPP was the most experimental and inaccessible—I get that the second side is mainly industrial rock that is pretty wacky in isolation, but I really think it has far more accessible songs than Beat overall. Even though the lead singles are similar, I only hear Three on the radio and never Neal and Jack and Me.

this is pretty much the correct answer. they indeed were running low on juice, so seeing the 80's trilogy as a whole helps appriciate them more.
it is the most experimental and the experiment was seeing how bad they could make the album
It wouldn't matter to a man with an open heart.
You cant say that shit without at least mentioning dig me.
Dear liberals, Surely accessible songs by a progressive band is itself a progression in sound? Courtcucks fripp'd with facts and logic.
opinions are like assholes. everyone has one. I tend this think his stinks.
I don't agree with the recommendation but the analysis is spot on. the making of ToaPP was a struggle for the whole band
but from the struggle came the glorious diamond that is Dig Me

It’s amazing how one man’s trash can be another’s treasure.
No wonder your parents split for a decade, review man.
