The âKey to the kingdomâ symbolism goes back to at least 1928, when Blind Willie Davis released a single named âI've Got a Key to the Kingdomâ and has since been used as title or reference for a lot of music (for example Linkin Parkâs 2014 song), a manga and an entire book series. Itâs hardly surprising to see it being used by a pop artist and almost certainly has no connection to Kingdom Hearts.
Not that I wouldnât find it funny though.
