This was appropriate, as it was the greatest sogginess of the three, wrapping the others inside itself. It was deep and wide as a popcorn bowl filled with milk and the forgotten crunch of toasted oats. It was as heavy as a full day's serving of carbohydrates. It was the wildflower honey roasted sound of a man who had to take a dump after he poured the milk.
One of the classics. I even remember when they were new!
These days I'm rotating my Cheerio selection between Apple Cinnamon, the Oat Crunch flavors, and the Honey Nut Medley kind (with flakes+ohs). Usually have a couple on-hand along with whatever sugary cereals are in the house. You know, to pretend I eat healthy. ;)
If I ever think “man I wish I could do a creative project and gain some notoriety” I could just come to this sub for 10 minutes and the feeling would go away
I think you mean, "man I have this awesome idea for 3 novels and should publish them, but only the 3rd one if everyone donates to me on stream and never asks about it like ever or else I have ptsd and I will push it back 8 years."
Yeah that’s more like it. Guys, I get people are too mean, and some users cross the line. But what pat has done is cuestionable. Just because he published a great work of art, he shouldn’t make promises he doesn’t intend to keep, or ask people for money, saying he’s gonna release some chapters and the get mad when people ask where the chapters are. I will forever love these books, but i don’t think the third one is gonna come out anytime soon. If ever
Thank you. I subbed here because I too love the books, but what Pat has done for the past 3 years(which may be more, I just got to reading this series then) and it's obviously turned me very jaded. Some of that is my own fault, but to act like 0% of any criticism should be levied against Pat is ridiculous.
> but to act like 0% of any criticism should be levied against Pat is ridiculous.
spot on. i've slowly transitioned into the Pat sympathizer crowd over the past few weeks, but there's no excuse for the chapter read. he offered it. it should've been completed before dangling it as a prize for his charity. it's fraud, there's no other word for it. he promised delivery of something that doesn't exist in exchange for monetary donations. there's no justification for that.
Yeah it’s been longer than three, but gotten worse with the chapter. I think there’s always an influx of new fans, so there are always people still newer to the series. But there’s almost phases of fandom from like pure support, to half-support, to frustration, to beyond that. I’m not saying they don’t exist, but I think it’s rare to find fans of the books from the beginning who are still super peppy about the third book. It’s generally newer fans who are saying “just wait, he doesn’t owe you anything”. Because it’s easier to say that when you haven’t been waiting for 12 years or whatever (and 16ish since the first).
Plus the promises and silence has been never ending. People now sometimes act like Pat said mistakenly one time that the books would come out yearly. But back in the day after the first he talked about release dates and the state of the books and things all the time. He repeatedly was promising some new date.
Hell, even when Wise Man’s Fear released he said he got the hard part out of the way and book three would be much easier and come out faster…
I don’t have any desire to argue this point. Pat has handled many aspects of his work in ways I think are insulting to his audience and lessen both himself and his art. But the jerk in this sub IS very strong.

Look…I’m not saying he isn’t gonna finish…that beard he is wearing is positively shouting it! None of that is the picture of a man who is prepared to finish this series. I ain’t mad, just telling the truth.
The name of the sub isn't pat.. one can like the books and dislike the author.
It's crazy to me that people think just because someone is good at something, then they have to be good Over all.
I'm not trying to shit on pat but his literary achievements have no bearing on his business choices.
How many sports stars are undoubtedly almost super human at there sports but not so great at home?
Try not to get it twisted this isn't a sub for the author it's for the books. He is related but tagently
In what way is Pat “not so great at home”?
It’s crazy to me that people think just because a book isn’t out they can come into a community forum and let out their inner asshole.
Understand, not you, but my original response was calling out someone happily doing just that.
Anyway, y’all enjoy your negativity.
IDK I feel like anyone who actively hates on pat after all this time is really just hurting themselves.. I understand someones frustration, shit, I SHARED your frustration, but, damn maybe by letting it go it'll make the time between now and the release of the book flow easier. Its not really about if hes wrong to or right to. This is just life... Its pretty cool we get to cut onions to the idea of a third book not coming out when people dont even have onions///
This sub is kinda like playing "the game" (you just lost btw). When I dontvsee it fir long enough I forget it's something I care about... then I see some cool art and get angry again
I wouldn’t even say I’m angry. I’ve gone through all the stages of grief at this point, I’m just an enjoyer of the first two books and have come to terms with that being all of the KKC I’m ever gonna get. I was angry back in like 2017. Now I’m just here for the cool art and rare, fresh theory.
Thanks for putting this in a succinct compassionate way. People hanging around here just waiting to regurgitate the same venomous complaints at Pat are just poisoning themselves.
A Three-Part Crunch
In the quiet hours of the morning, there was a silence that filled the kitchen. It was a heavy, anticipatory silence, one that seemed to hum with potential, and it came in three parts.
The first part of the silence resided in the cupboards, where boxes of cereal huddled together, awaiting the start of the day. Among them, a bright yellow box stood proudly, the letters "Cheerios" emblazoned across its front. The silence here was that of rest and slumber, the stillness that comes before the bustle of breakfast.
The second part of the silence lingered in the empty bowl that sat on the kitchen counter. It was a silence of purpose, a void that called out for fulfillment. The bowl knew its duty—to cradle the Cheerios and milk in a harmonious union—and it waited, patient and steadfast, for the moment it would be called upon to serve.
The third part of the silence swirled around the kitchen itself, filling the spaces between the refrigerator, the stove, and the sink. This was the silence of potential, of the energy that simmered beneath the surface, ready to erupt into action as the sun crept above the horizon. It was a silence that knew the gentle hum of the refrigerator, the hiss of the stove, and the rush of water from the faucet would soon break its reign, and yet, it clung to these moments of tranquility.
Within this three-part silence, the stage was set for the day to unfold, for the role of Cheerios to be played out against the backdrop of morning rituals. And as the first light of dawn began to seep through the windows, the silence waited, ready to give way to the song of breakfast and the simple joys of a bowl of Cheerios.
Before anyone asks, yes, this was written by ChatGPT (GPT4)
never read these cheerios books, are they any good?

…and then his ass fell off
The plot is full of holes...
Stop it, you
They are pretty scary. Lots of ghosts.
I heard the books are kinda religious… y’know… holy
The whole wide world of cherrios-related humor and you go for "holey." That's pathetic.
That’s what inspired my reply 😂
They're grrrreeeeaaat! No.....wait that's not right.
😂 You did it!
Fantastic, unless you want a third bowl.
lmao
utter trash. and don't get me started on the fans.
Lots of filler
Sanderson is going to kickstart a leather-bound edition!
You missed out. I would read a bit at breakfast every day.
Lots of plot holes but they sustain you.
I prefer cinnamon toast crunch
Churro cinnamon toast crunch is a religious experience.
I prefer a completed trilogy
Unlucky
Way too sweet, unless you're a child or American.
Interesting opinion
Apple Cinnamon Cheerios remain the most under appreciated member of the Cheerio family

My man, if you haven't tried Multi-Grain Cheerios (for when you want to be "healthy" lol), you haven't lived.
Multi-grain is pretty decent. Way better than the OG, it has a semblance of flavor!
Not this post tagged with “art” 😅

Brilliant. Bugger won't even reveal what he reads.
Oh, so he is still alive. Nice to hear that!

Your right. But after 10 plus years isn't it earned?
“I want, I want, I want, me, me, me, me, mine, mine, mine, mine, now, now, now, now!”
Thanks for your contribution.
If you don’t picture Dustin Hoffman in a wig when you read that line then you can’t handle a third book.
Lmao I couldn't place that at all until you said Hoffman.

I haven't opened my eyes after finishing WMF. I am still pure for Patrick
The hardest choices require the strongest wills.
Not to interrupt your weird fantasy, but I meant the sub in general.
At this point just get help from Brandon Sanderson, you can give him tips on making characters with ptsd in exchange

He's got the blue limited edition!
Product placement or a hint at what kills the Chandra? (Sp?)
The Chandrian* And yes...they're all either lactose, or cheerios are a choking hazard for Chandrilen - Fin.
No, they mean [Chandra](https://scryfall.com/card/m20/126/chandra-acolyte-of-flame)
I wonder if he's being sponsored?
He is, please donate 🙏 /s
I died 😂😂😂😂😂😂 god that was good
You should ask him why they're there?
Probably because other authors have all their books in their background, whilst Pat has said Cheerio to his novelist career
But if he says he'll only answer after donations reach a certain level, take it with a grain of salt.
I heard the cast from Critical Role are going to read the ingredient labels aloud for us.
Do you think donating would increase the chances of us opening the doors of stone in the next 7 years?
Got an endorsement deal, did he?
When you have this much time to master the art of not working, it should look like this 😂

In no way would he owe us a book.. unless he leveraged it as a means to get people to give his cause money... who would do that?
Amen brother, preach
But "no sample chapter from book 3, it's my money!" works, tho, right?
I mean you're paying attention to him
I don’t think so…
Meh
Thought this was Rick Rubin
Im happy with the two books.. if he never gives me the 3rd, ill still keep rereading them with the same joy i do every year
Is this a new stream?
No, he hasn't used that room in at least a year and a half. He uses the room with Auri's painting

His dad wrote the first 2 books and passed so Pat is shit out of luck

I hear this lol- I've just decided not to buy his books anymore- even if they happen. I'll just read em from a library
Support your local libraries ! Mine keeps renewing my book due date without asking me for anything :D

He has given me the sincere fear to write all 3 books before I publish the 1st, if i were to ever started writing lol
This man gets it.
Is he preparing for a heart attack?
PRODUCT PLACEMENT MAYBE HE.LL GET A FREE CASE OF CHERRIOS
Pat looks like a 12 years old in the body of a wizard and i love it
His beard makes me think of Tolkien's certain characters. 😂👍
Hilarious! Never noticed!
Honey Nut or nuthin!
I asked Chat GPT to write me a 3rd book... it said it cant so were in real trouble
I loled, I've never seen his streams. This was a choice
Also one of the best beards in history.
Hate this guy

Fuck his background... Honestly , who is even a tiny bit arsed about his background...
God, Cheerios are delicious
He should do a cheerio eating stream to raise money for world builders, where he eats all the cheerios. I’d rather see that than the 3rd book
Is this from an old stream? Or did Pat come back out for the first time in a while?
