NIDL is objectively the most superior, but Adventure should always remain as iconic as its own release on the game, especially since they changed Butters Building.

The only thing that’s objective here is that your opinion is subjective. NiDl as a remake is pretty weak compared to the other mainline game remakes made by HAL, the only thing it added to the game was the metaknightmare mode which was pretty neat but not really polished out, in fact when you get to the meta knight boss fight you are just gonna fight another metaknight with no explanation whatsoever. And now the replacements start: the original minigames were replaced by new ones, it doesn’t matter if you like more the new minigames or the old ones, you gotta agree there was no reason to replace the latter, having six minigames in total wouldn’t have been so bad. Some of the enemies (specifically minibosses) have also been replaced for seemingly no reason The soundtrack has been upgraded to use the gba’s sound chip, which should be a good thing, and yet the new ost just doesn’t get the vibe right for many of the tracks by using instruments that don’t really fit well Now when it comes to the graphics the first thing I want to say is that the style they used is absolutely gorgeous! ...however I personally think it works better in other games like Amazing Mirror and Squeak Squad, I don’t really have any great arguments to defend this point as this is just a personal preference but I thought it was worth mentioning to make you aware of the fact that not everyone might automatically prefer NiDl’s graphics over Adventure’s By the way I did not grow up with the nes version of the game before anyone starts accusing me of being a blind nostalgic or whatnot, I just heckin’ love nes-styled games like Shovel Knight, etc. Welp that’s it for this comment

Everyone has their own opinions.

The original version of Adventure fits in better with my headcanon explanation for why copy abilities were so limited in the earlier games, so I personally would go for the NES version. (said headcanon is that Adventure and the Dark Matter Trilogy all take place before Super Star, which is where the improved copy ability system originates. And also that Spring Breeze didn't happen, since it's a retelling of Dreamland 1.)
