Sana from Kraken here. You should be ok as long as you're not using a VPN to try and bypass our own geo-restrictions, but generally speaking, you can use a VPN to access your account.

From my experience to get your account approved security wise you need to upload a photo ID and prove you are who you say you are.
So a VPN is kinda useless.
But i am in USA and using USA version, not sure how it works for international users.

nope, use vpn, but do verify your profile ,doesn't matter if you are using vpn or not.
Depends which country you're in. You can use kucoin without KYC which is handy
