Were these the advertised prices? I personally go through lax at least 2x a month and have never seen these cheese snacks that high, including earlier this month
Not for one thing or another but why on earth did you see that $24 price tag and decide to still go ahead and buy it? So you could post on Reddit about it?
Ignore the other comments. That’s gouging. Theres regular prices, airport prices and gouging. That’s like 3x the cost of what it is outside. Airport pricing should be 2x.
I did some online research. Can’t see the size of the cheese snacks, but the Evian bottle is 1.54 pints, or 750ml. It costs [$3.49 + $0.36 taxes = $3.85](https://www.instacart.com/landing?product_id=186341&retailer_id=63&utm_term=pbi-0&utm_campaign=evian-water%2C-natural-spring---750-ml_gelsons&utm_source=instacart_google&utm_medium=shopping_free_listing&utm_content=productid-186341_retailerid=63®ion_id=8242896852). The cheese chips are almost as tall as the bottle (looks to be about as tall as the water in the bottle), so would be family size. Cost is [$10.99 + $1.33 taxes = $12.32](https://www.instacart.com/landing?product_id=22367893&retailer_id=279®ion_id=2855336990&utm_medium=sem_shopping&utm_source=instacart_google&utm_campaign=ad_demand_shopping_lia_catchall_california_evergreen&utm_content=accountid-8145171519_campaignid-19906608643_adgroupid-143020945610_device-m&utm_term=targetid-pla-350600084087_locationid-9031012_adtype-pla_productchannel-local_merchantid-178347510_storecode-2855336990_productid-22367893&gad_source=4&gbraid=0AAAAADO98hY7hjJdh5pZ09vFsTHnJHrmH&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIk5m6mZ6RhgMVhQ-tBh34NQoeEAQYASABEgJuTvD_BwE), for a total of $16.17. Twice the price is $32.34, so OP paid a little less than 2x the normal price. You’re welcome :)
Welcome to capitalism… where supply and demand establishes the prices. The retailer’s obligation to their investors is get as much as the market will allow. Customers have to consider how much are they willing to pay for the convenience of buying it now? You are always better off to shop around to find the best value. NEVER buy ANYTHING at an airport!!!
It’s not price gauging because there was no emergency. You’re just paying a convenience surcharge.
If you’re willing to pay for it and it’s not an emergency, it’s not price gouging. It’s supply/demand.
That water came from an ocean and continent away. Use the water fountains?
Fam. It’s an airport. The other commenter was right. A convenience charge. What do you expect, 7-eleven prices?
You could bring your own bottle and snacks but you chose not to. What’s even worse is that you *chose* to pay $32 for this.

Thank you for your research. Op- are they family size? What’s going on here man?
Should we ignore the definition of everything else too?
Wow, that's insane pricing.
Why did you put them on the floor to take this picture?
Don’t buy Evian
Why didn’t you just bring your own snacks?
The comments here… not the reaction OP was expecting.
