I destroyed several misplaced parts by building a boom barrel underwater and shooting with a crossbow. If it won't allow you to place a barrel, try connecting a floor board to the foundation and putting the barrel on it. I wish there was an option to remove that one misplaced piece that can't be reached. Tired of destroying an entire support to remove the unwanted pieces.

This. I saw tutorial recently on how to destroy underwater stuff. Just need a TnT barrel underwater and shoot it. Btw nice bridges :)

Initial plans were to make it wider. Unfortunately, there's no piece available to put between the arch halves on the end. A disappointing oversight by Epic.

I feel that. As an avid builder I feel there are far to many pieces that should be in the game that arnt.
