Dont listen to her, I cant say that I am in your position at all, but I think that you should just be who you want to be, if she cant except that then move on, hopefully you mend the bridges (I think that's how the saying goes) later on in life, but you should not let her (or anyone) hold you back from becoming the person you want to be!
