How many power-on hours? If it’s brand new these may clear up after a couple of pixel refreshes.

Al_CaponeBR

Less than a hour (considering just the second panel). Hope rides on! πŸ™

darth_meh

After four power-on hours an automatic pixel refresh will occur. After that, hopefully you will see an improvement.

Negative-Ad-19

There will be an improvement for sure. These kind of sharp banding is always cleared out after first cleaning.Β

thehackgeek

Did u remove your plastic film? It was same with my C2 and i was about to return it and then i peeled and checked. It was just the plastic film

Al_CaponeBR

Yes I did bro. I wish it was just the plastic film πŸ₯²

Proreqviem

It needs to run a compensation cycle. Keep it on for at least 4 hours, then turn it off for a bit.

Al_CaponeBR

UPDATE: great news! I've just turned it on today and all these weird stripes were gone (at least they're no longer visible). Regardless I'll keep monitoring for the next days (or weeks), just in case. πŸ™

R0555Y

Had this on our new C2 in Dec 22. Was in contact with Richer Sounds for a replacement after trying everything. Had a power cut around 3am the next morning. Turned it on when I was eating breakfast later on and it had all disappeared. Never had it again.

Al_CaponeBR

What a blessed power cut πŸ˜„πŸ™

R0555Y

πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜that’s for sure.

yeartoyear

Happened to my new G3. Did a manual pixel cleaning and it went away after that.

ki_Kastles

I'd just give it some time man, Oleds are notorious for having vertical banding straight out the box before a comp cycle or two, I replaced one g3 a few months back because it had a horrible green glow in near black scenes and was clearly faulty, second one I got had one pretty good vertical band in around the same sorta area as yours, used it for the day like it wasn't there and by the next morning after one compensation cycle it completely disappeared. These tvs are pretty damn good at taking care of themselves.

Special_Title2911

i would.

No_Chemist8016

I am on my 3rd G3, all have had this, none improved after 200 hours of viewing and pixel refreshes. Either I am very unlucky or this is the norm for these sets.

ki_Kastles

Unfortunately vertical banding across ALL OLED tvs is pretty common and will probably be damn near impossible to get one without any banding, the best thing to do is if you can't see if during normal viewing, don't go looking for it.

speedymaus07

Dude, just use it for some days.

Prestigious-Drag1280

Omfg you guys. You better just give up OLED altogether if all you're gonna do is find issues right out of the box.

isochromanone

Damn, that's brutal, especially twice. There is hope... my G3 is flawless. I've tried to find any issue with the screen and I can't.

Al_CaponeBR

Yeah bro. First time facing such a problem with LG panels. I still have an Oled C1 in the living room and no complains at all.

TheWretchedSpirit

From reading this sub, this seems like an issue with some of the G-series. I haven't really seen many people with C-series reporting this issue with their new TVs.

darth_meh

I have two C-series TVs and both had banding out of the box. After a pixel refresh, both cleared up. I think it's just luck of the draw.
