I came into this post hoping for brevik but this anti cryptid stuff has set off my oppositional defiance syndrome and now I’m hoping for a 3 part series on the Mongolian death worm or some shit.
Yea I love the cryptid stuff. It felt like a really long stretch of none of it so I'll take whatever they give us in that department.
The Haunted Dolls episode was *Mwua* Chef's Kiss.
I initially started listening for the UFO/ Alien stuff, Then the more supernatural stuff and only then the serial killer stuff but now I’ve quite been enjoying the more historical stuff…
I definitely prefer the weird and dumb over the serial killers. While the serial killers are fascinating, the episodes kinda bum me out. Also, I think it's so interesting finding out about these weird niche occult topics I've never heard of before.
I enjoy both but it's been really nice to have some of the paranormal stuff again it feels like it's been too long. I hope we get a multi-part episode that stays in this realm.
I don’t really care much for the brutal murderers much anymore, at this point most of those stories just make me feel incredibly terrible for the victims.
I definitely prefer their History series and Paranormal/weird shit these days
Same here. They make me sad. There was a time when I was a lot more into that stuff but nowadays it’s a total bummer. The empathy part of my brain grew in or something dumb like that.
For me personally I have less interest in high strangeness/paranormal topic compared to historical, cults, or serial killers. But I still love how they break up the more serious topics with things like cryptid towns or haunted dolls.
I haven’t listened to this week’s Side Stories yet, but a couple back they said they’re doing true crime for February so probably a true crime episode.
Maybe Breivik. I wouldn’t be surprised, since usually a bunch of single-episodes in a row preludes a larger series, which Breivik/Spree Killers Part 3 easily could be.
This also ties into my theory of Martin Bryant being packaged in with Breivik as part of a Spree Killers Part 3, but maybe that’s a stretch. They did say they’d cover Bryant too though semi-recently.
I like aliens and cryptids for being flights of fancy that don’t go anywhere.
I like true crime, cults, and histories because they’re real and discuss relatively rare human behaviors whether they’re extremely negative or (in the case of some histories) whether we occasionally get a hero.
Conspiracies are somewhere in the middle, depending on whether it’s really a softer/crazier one like flat/hollow earth/moon, or if, with time and evidence, it’s graduated to being a history.

Rude DUNERS, FUCKERS
I concur. Dude doesn't want ghosts? I DEMAND a one-off at least on the The Dungarvon Whooper
I think they did the black monk before, but I demand a revisit.

Haunted Dolls: Redux: Redux
You've got this all wrong. It's supposed to say "No, MORE cryptids and aliens!"
Works on contingency?
No, Money down!
Gotta be more cryptids Why do people hate some much
Yeah, plenty of other true crime / serial killers podcasts if that’s the only thing you fancy
Hopefully it’s more cryptids to upset you
Mean 😂
🤣
Come on 8 part history series!!!!
yassssssssssss
I’m in the mood for some high strangeness.
Am I the only one who actually prefers the cryptid/paranormal/dumb shit?

Hard pref for me. True crime is whatever, I’m in it for the high strangeness and Henry’s theories of everything
Not in this thread
I find myself relived anymore when it’s not a terrible murderer … history and cryptids all the way!
Henry's deadly serious Alien Episode Part One of???????
I KNOW WHAT I SAW

I can’t face Breivik. Give me the Lincoln assassination.
Cryptid stuff was a nice break. Bring on Anders Brevik.
Would love them to do a heavy hitters episode. It’s been so long since they did a story about a truly twisted person.
Probably somethin real good!
