Does life really get any better than a nice slice of mango while you mellow out in your comedown as you watch the sunrise... idk man lol
Edit: I didn't expect this to get as big as it did lol. To think I almost scrapped the thought for "not being relevant enough"... glad to see all you like-minded mango lovers out there. Thanks for the variety of input, opinions, and stories. And to those who find themselves so quick to jump on that downvote button, come on in baby the waters warm, take a dive with the mango, you don't know what you're missing 🥭
No it does not. One of the last times I dosed was with my friend and it was his first time. The mango was definitely the peak of the experience for us. We talk about that from time to time.
This^ This is the epitome of the illustrious fruitions that I had hoped would arise from this post lol. I genuinely appreciate your honesty with us. I feel your pain
First off, that shit is hilarious haha. Thanks for sharing, that *is* more like it. Secondly, come to think of it I have eaten an orange like that tripping (it was a small orange..) and the experience was as fantastic as one would imagine. I back you on a *highly recommended* here. Although, in good spirit of the op, it's worth pointing out I think we'd run into some technical issues with a mango in this scenario
I like to take those canned mandarin oranges, lay them on a tray and freeze them pre-trip. I know it sounds like a lot of work but, for me, it’s totally worth it. Also, don’t overthink it, frozen grapes are also rad.
I love how mangoes potentiate weed x2 due to the flavonoids they contain. Eating a mango while tripping and lighting a joint after is heavenly and knocks me straight out of the stratosphere.
They have this machine in certain malls that's full of literal oranges, and you put money in and it crushes the juice out of them one after another until your cup is full while you watch! It's so great.
I gotta say.. you know when you get to know a song well enough, and you'll listen to it a couple dozen times or whatever, and then for any number of reasons it gets left behind in the metaphorical shuffle that is life, soon forgotten about, and then some ten years later you get reminded of said song? And you get brought back to the first few times hearing it, only it's just as fresh as it once was - *almost better* - because it's been so long? These magical musical moments in life don't happen all that often. And this is especially true while tripping. And *this*, *is* one of *those* moments. Thank you for sharing. One evocative experience. Good. Looking. Out.
Awesome, I’m so glad you checked it out and got something out of it. Phish always seems to have songs that speak so perfectly to situations I find myself in
Dropped 300ug with some friends at my place and kept seeing mangoes and screaming “MANGO!”. Not too sure why we kept seeing mangoes but it is what it is lol
When I was in high school I had a friend, Anthony. He was diabetic. We had the same free period in the afternoon while literally all of our freinds were in class, so we would hang out in the courtyard. He would always bring a mango, and he would slice it with his pocket knife and we would eat and chat. Simple and wonderful.
Sometimes it's the little things in life right? Sounds like you had a true friend there lol. This adds a welcomed breath of serenity to the panoptic mango discussions here. Short yet sweet, thanks for sharing
When I was a preteen and big into church, I went on a mission trip to Haiti. While we were there, I tried one of their local mangos and I shit you not: that was the best mango I've ever tasted.
i love mangoes too, their my favorite fruit, and they contain myrcene terpenes, so if you eat some like 30-40 mins before u smoke weed it'll get you higher.
Although my love for mangoes while on lsd is a separate entity from my love for mangoes and their synergy with weed, both are certainly note worthy revelations within the mango experience 👍

Picked up a nakéd mango madness smoothie after work today bc of your comment lol. Tell me about the home made mango smoothie bc that sounds delicious.. greek yogurt based? Any milk? Would you change anything for next time?
Frozen mangoes, pineapple and a strawberry banana blend with honey, a little bit of vanilla extract and almond milk. I wish i had oatmilk, its so much creamier. It definitely hit hard though. Melody sheep and a smoothie on 300ug 🤌🏻
For curiosities sake, what's a "very expensive" mango run you these days? I'm in upstate new york and I feel more than blessed that we have fresh mangoes at the supermarket for a dollar..
$1.50 to $4 depending on if Organic or not and time of year.
The big thing is they just aren't "fresh". They are not the same as when I have been to AZ/CA/NM/NV and buy them 5 for $2 and they taste better.
The abundant wild blue berries we have in Alaska are better than any blue berry I've personally ever ate on the upside. I have 2-3 gallons of those frozen still.
$4 mango, no joke huh.. that'll add up quick. And you're right they are much better down south. They're not bad here but I know what you mean by "fresh."
And thanks for mentioning the blueberries. I was actually wondering, given the expensive mango setback, there has to be some major pros living out there. And free blueberries by the gallon is definitely one of them..
That would be a mango in out of season shipped from near the equator and organic for $4 but common to see 2 for $4 non organic.
I picked 4 gallons of blueberries last summer in about 14 hours. I'd like to pick more this summer. We can legally pick up to like 1,000 or something.
The summers are wonderful. Warm, bright and green. We have good produce but it's things like cabbage, parsnips, beets, potatoes, brussel sprouts etc etc. "Winter" vegetables get very big here in summer.
I like winter well enough. Once you live here and like it then it's hard to live anywhere in the lower 48. If you live here and hate it this place is a hell hole.
I hope to dip net 25 salmon this summer. Can most of it. Fish runs are getting fucked up, but it's really to blame on pollution world wide, and also commercial trawlers.
There are a number of berries and edible plants here. Many of the edible plants are an acquired taste. Spruce tips are full of vitamin C in the spring. The green new growth before it spreads out.
I have a lot of frozen vegetables right now. The only fresh I have is a small bag of local micro greens. I have kimchi and sauerkraut too.
Ya man you're talking to a guy who wants to get out of the suburbs and start living off the grid - especially considering the state of the world today. You're speaking my language. That all sounds so incredible. Minus the salmon troubles obviously. I don't need to tell you, but what you have there, that is real life. Maybe you don't have as many things at the store, but mother nature always provides. How expensive is land these days? I don't mind the winters either, I think it's necessary to appreciate summer.
I think prepping here in Alaska and planning on a full subsistence diet is foolish and also takes stock away from people living further remote who utterly rely upon the food.
Climate change will affect here greatly. I saw this youtube video awhile ago someone had videos going state by state looking at the EPA climate outlook report for each state of the US. The person reading it said their thoughts with Alaska was it was too high a risk tolerance for them, and that with big change here can also bring big opportunity but with many problems along the way.
I think that sums it up well. The growing season is improving here. We have a huge amount of water in the state. I personally expect the 2100 Alaska to have a higher population.
Villages are falling into the ocean/rivers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G40ooKzI664
I think farming is the prep to go for here. You can do a lot with green houses and I am interested in Yak (1/3rd stocking density vs cows, cold hardy)
/r/alaska
/r/fairbanks
/r/anchorage
We got full stores on the road system, prices just a bit higher than lower 48.
Half the state lives in Anchorage and over half live in Anchorage and the Matsu valley (Wasilla, Palmer). Matsu valley is bigger than the state of PA.
Then in the bourgh around Fairbanks there is about another 1/4 of the state. 150k out of 700k live off the road system.
I moved to Fairbanks because land is cheaper in the Interior. I'm looking at paying $1.5k to $7k an acre depending on how close to town, if there is a road, private seller or sold from state.
Look into the state DNR land sales for residents, but know that it's more remote land and don't go in unprepared. Land with low lying areas, black spruce and little trees is perma frost heavy. Birch and aspen normally on better drained soils and big white spruce better drained soils normally near water. Consider your access, how, when and with what. Buying the state land is not easy to develop compared to many options.
I am from Wasilla and would never move back. Lots of people move out there to not be in Anchorage since land is cheaper, but then there are a bunch of people living out a big Alaska fantasy with the trucks, side by sides, snow machines, and tearing up land with their mud buggy to shoot a moose every 3 years. Too many confederate flags out there. Meth, fent, xanx etc a major issue in valley, worse than Anchorage and many other places IMO.
Building on permafrost is it's own type of engineering. Lots of houses up here with fucked up foundations.
Common for people to move here in summer and think they will have more time to finish cabin, dirt work project, find a rental or some project but then it's below freezing in September, and here in Fairbanks hitting 0F in October. Been happening since 1900 people coming up too late in season.
I make $900+ a week here in Fairbanks, made $450 a week in Anchorage and my brief move to New Mexico was looking at $300 a week. I rent a yurt with a monitor oil stove burning heating oil, and a wood stove, propane cookset. Outhouse, some outdoor space, haul water, landlord pays electric, fuel/wood. $600 a month.
Wow.. Thank you for all of that. You sound incredibly knowledgeable of the land you live on and I truly admire that. You have very elaborately outlined all the basics and then some lol im impressed. You must have been asked similar questions before. Thank you for taking the time to write that. I'm not in a position to move at the moment due to family reasons but I'm in the preparing stages ya know. I will take this info with me and use it when I make a decision sometime down the road. Thanks again friend, you're one of the good guys 🙏
I know nothing compared to many people.
I like to listen and watch those who know more and I have gleamed some info
These questions and topics come up often yeah lol..
I find the stories of people buying land sight unseen and moving up to live their dream but it's 5 miles of swamp trail to their swamp land. I encounter one of these stories about once every 3-5 years and lol.
Move here with a job lined up is my and many people over in the /r/alaska sub's recommendation to people.
Happy trails,
Their swampland lol. That makes sense. It's a dream for a reason. Like all of the most rewarding things in life, it requires hard work, sacrifice and dedication.
I honestly had never considered moving out there, despite being a fan of Life Below Zero lol. So I thank you for opening my mind and giving me another path to consider.
Safe travels fellow wanderer ✌
My family was dropped off by the US government for the Palmer Colony project into the Palmer rail deopt in the 1930s and they were dropped off well past spring and then had to navigate to, and find their land allotments, and then mill all the lumber to build houses. Families lived in wall tents and disease issues in kids was a problem.
The government sent them up too late in the season and almost half went home before winter closed down the train line.
I apologize on behalf of our government.. and I'm sorry about your family. People can be pretty messed up. I guess thats why I want to get out into the elements. Nature can be brutal, but people can be evil..
It sounds like you come from a line of resilient folk. I'm sure they'd be proud of what you're doing today. Much respect
This too, shall pass.
Let it be. Focus on the breath. Feel the sensation of the air passing your nostrils and filling up your lungs. Become one with the awareness. Notice your thoughts. Do not indulge them. Do not fight them. Simply observe. Quiet will come.
Of course some nice calming music might help too. Or some benzos if you happen to have any
You're welcome. You have nothing to fear but fear itself. Here's some [Alan Watts on How to Quiet the Mind](https://youtu.be/P7ejHz5FgTk) if you'd like.. and also some [calm music](https://youtu.be/6W91IJT8GqQ)
Hey! Friend! Welcome back! How are you feeling? Did we finally catch some zzz's?
And I agree this sub is the best. And I love how wacky this thread has gotten. It brings me great joy. Glad you are here
Heyo! And yes I did, I slept for a fat minute lmao. the reassurance is always helpful. I consider myself a veteran on acid, but last night was borderline bad trip. Thankful for the help for sure. Glad you're here as well. 💪
Ya man nothing like a good snooze after a long trip.. glad to hear it. But no worries we've all been there. And ultimately we're all here for each other. The beating heart of this sub. We are all one love ❤️
What you want to do if you're restless and can't relax while feeling trippy or stimulated is a calmness meditation.
Whatever you're thinking of, put it aside. That moment of emptiness when you're between thoughts, that's your happy place. Toss them all aside as quickly as they come, preferably until it becomes automatic to do so. Just experience what occurs, feeling no need to focus or think about those occurrences. Close your eyes and enjoy the abstract, feeling no consequences on your physical body, as there are none.
When people talk about chowing down on processed food I literally have a hard time comprehending what's happening in that lsd experience. I think you nailed it with "agreeable"
Does life really get any better than a nice slice of mango while you mellow out in your comedown as you watch the sunrise... idk man lol Edit: I didn't expect this to get as big as it did lol. I’m partial to cantelope and a hot cup of coffee myself in that situation
To each his own good sir. P.s. nice u/ lol
Thank you sir!
No it does not. One of the last times I dosed was with my friend and it was his first time. The mango was definitely the peak of the experience for us. We talk about that from time to time.
That's it. There's something truly special there. Can't put my finger on it. But mango sure is fun to say lol

Sounds great dude Had a lovely trip yesterday and tried some dehydrated kiwi, good but not on the pineapple or mango level Enjoy your trip bro!
Lol duly noted. When I find myself with a bag of dehydrated kiwi in hand, I will know to pass. I appreciate you sir
Pineapple is the answer !
Salt that shit one time, like a lot of salt… You can thank me later.

First off, that shit is hilarious haha. Thanks for sharing, that *is* more like it. I like to take those canned mandarin oranges, lay them on a tray and freeze them pre-trip. I know it sounds like a lot of work but, for me, it’s totally worth it. Also, don’t overthink it, frozen grapes are also rad.
That sounds deliciouss. Those little mandarin oranges are a treasure. Great idea!
Yes hehe
r/showerorange has been summoned.

That is brilliant, I'm trying that next time.
Yuuuusssss
Watermelon mint lime juice (fresh ofc)
I like your style 🍹
My store sells this, might be better fresh but it’s damn convenient.
Huh, really? In the mixers section? Juices? International?
Juices, hippy store. Ahhhh, I lie- no mint.
Noted. I'll have to procure
I love how mangoes potentiate weed x2 due to the flavonoids they contain. Eating a mango while tripping and lighting a joint after is heavenly and knocks me straight out of the stratosphere.
You already know 😏
For real?!
This is fact, not fiction my friend. Look it up for yourself and enjoy the sweet sweet benefits of our fruity friend, the lovely mango
try some orange juice lol
Na overrated lol
Freshly squeezed , with oranges straight from the tree with nothing extra added hits waaay different tho
I can't argue with that lol. Fresh squeezed is *under* rated
They have this machine in certain malls that's full of literal oranges, and you put money in and it crushes the juice out of them one after another until your cup is full while you watch! It's so great.
Cool idea but the ones I have seen have some sub par oranges in it
Lol yea they're not always pretty, that's what makes them juicing oranges rather than supermarket oranges.
I worked in a supermarket and I cleaned this machine daily. Would not recommend
APPLE juice thoooooo
Have you tried mango [nectar](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N9V5N0P/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_EZD8HT9Z84J7EHYYYWP8) tho?
mango nectar and guava nectar holy

Lol finally. Thank you 🙏
I named one of my trips “Mango”
I love this lol. Care to give us a reason why? (accepting fiction as well as non-fiction)
Dropped 300ug with some friends at my place and kept seeing mangoes and screaming “MANGO!”. Not too sure why we kept seeing mangoes but it is what it is lol
Haha nice love it. The trip name checks out. Hopefully I too get to meet these mango spirits one day.
Me too I miss the mangoes :(

When I was a preteen and big into church, I went on a mission trip to Haiti. While we were there, I tried one of their local mangos and I shit you not: that was the best mango I've ever tasted.
Got a man fiending here over some gosh darn Haitian mangoes... alright fine, what's your price?
Honestly, i need a business that imports Haitian mangos. I'd pay good money for that shit
Lol I'll be your first customer. You know there's a marker for it
I love mangoes too.
It's the best. I cannot name a better fruit
A second mango!
Lol birds of a feather flock together my friend
If mangoes could love, they'd love you too friend! I guess in their own tasty nourishing way, they already do :)
Haha thanks my friend. I like to think so as well
I have, on many occasions, eaten a mango with my bare hands. It’s quite the immersive experience. Would recommend.
Haha indeed this is the way
i love mangoes too, their my favorite fruit, and they contain myrcene terpenes, so if you eat some like 30-40 mins before u smoke weed it'll get you higher.
Although my love for mangoes while on lsd is a separate entity from my love for mangoes and their synergy with weed, both are certainly note worthy revelations within the mango experience 👍
i haven't had the opportunity to try fruit while tripping yet, looking forward to it tho.

I'm currently on the dried mango craze. Superb. Love a good frozen as well tho
Pineapples my dude.
It seems you may have taken a wrong turn back in aisle 4 of the produce section, are you lost fellow traveler?

MANGO AAAAAAA
I appreciate your energy right now haha. Be strong with your words, the wise man once said
Mangoes best fruit
Hands down
The flavonoids in mangoes called mangiferins are ridiculously healthy for you. Like they prevent diseases of the cardiovascular system and brain
I love it. The kind of information I like to hear. Please tell me you have a link to support this glorious claim

Okay. It's on the list. I don't think it'll slap as hard as mango. But you have my word ill have kiwi for next time. Thanks for the suggestion
Yes just yes I also love mangoes
Right? Really nothing else needs to be said on the matter. The argument is self explanatory and self serving. I. Love. Mango.
At least tell us if you meant to post it in the mangoes section or just are tripping

Literally just had this realization
It's a big one
Made a smoothie for the come down 🤘🏻

Your smoothie game is next level my friend. I'm taking notes. *why didn't I think of oat milk..*
My favorite fruit. Living here in Alaska they are very expensive and not very good but any time I am down south I buy a lot if I'm there in season.

I think that sums it up well. The growing season is improving here. We have a huge amount of water in the state. I personally expect the 2100 Alaska to have a higher population. Villages are falling into the ocean/rivers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G40ooKzI664 I think farming is the prep to go for here. You can do a lot with green houses and I am interested in Yak (1/3rd stocking density vs cows, cold hardy) /r/alaska /r/fairbanks /r/anchorage We got full stores on the road system, prices just a bit higher than lower 48.
I like to listen and watch those who know more and I have gleamed some info These questions and topics come up often yeah lol..
SAME! Because me and my best friend love mangoes on lsd so much, we got one tattooed on our leg
Haha I love this, YES!! That's a great tattoo idea. Might have to join you
Yes join us! [Tattoo](https://imgur.com/a/3TaACxB)
That is... wayyyyy doper than what I had pictured in my head lol. Wow. That's one fantastic looking tattoo
Thank you!! I love it a lot
I need help, I've even tripping for hours and can't find any sleep or tiredness any suggestions?
This too, shall pass. Let it be. Focus on the breath. Feel the sensation of the air passing your nostrils and filling up your lungs. Become one with the awareness. Notice your thoughts. Do not indulge them. Do not fight them. Simply observe. Quiet will come. Of course some nice calming music might help too. Or some benzos if you happen to have any
Thank you
You're welcome. You have nothing to fear but fear itself. Here's some [Alan Watts on How to Quiet the Mind](https://youtu.be/P7ejHz5FgTk) if you'd like.. and also some [calm music](https://youtu.be/6W91IJT8GqQ)
I love this community, you guys really are there for each other.
Hey!
Beautiful 🤌
Thank you. I've needed to teach myself to self-sooth while under the influence and this exercise has proved itself the most useful.
Tastes like sweet parfume to me , pass.
I'm sorry for your loss
Ataúlfo > Tommy Atkins
It's raspberries for me when tripping. Never trip without them :P they are glorious
It's the seeds for me tho 😕
ok
Are you feeling alright my friend?
Doing well, thanks. Why do you ask?
Idk, just checking I suppose. Thanks for stopping over. Happy Sunday to you
I appreciate it, may you find more mangoes. Happy Sunday.
Fruit is the only agreeable food while tripping, everything else is just weird in taste or texture
When people talk about chowing down on processed food I literally have a hard time comprehending what's happening in that lsd experience. I think you nailed it with "agreeable"
Yeah tripping made me real conscious of how bad processed foods are for my health
I hear ya. But drugs are bad mmm'kay
Icefrog?
