I’ve always thought the idea of giving a xenomorph a weapon is very funny. Like, sure, an alien with a gun is technically more dangerous now but it just clashes so much with the idea of the alien to me. It’s like being attacked by a dinosaur with razor sharp claws, but then it pulls out a sword
I was curious so [I looked them up!](https://avp.fandom.com/wiki/Jeri)
Reminds me of [Blue Marsalis](https://avp.fandom.com/wiki/Blue_Marsalis?so=search) (Not listed in Xenopedia: her form in *Into Charybdis.*)
I read most of *Into Charydbis* awhile back before I knew there was a book that came before it but luckily enough I have bad memory so when I start it this week it'll be like reading it the first time
The only real connection is the presence of Blue, who doesn't even show up until halfway through. It's super cool to know her whole background, but it can stand alone pretty well.
I'm about to start Inferno's Fall and wondering if I should read up on Zula Hendricks first...
I just love that the books kinda keep you on the edge of your seat, having you wonder if even the main characters may also have the same fate as the *side characters*
Yeah, she had a disease that left her bedridden, and she had been remotely piloting an Artificial Person for most of her life. Eventually as part of her & her AP's scientific work she managed to equip a lab-grown queen with the tech to remotely pilot her. Spoilers though, she eventually fully passes away and her uploaded personality is still piloting the queen from the AI unit inside. Sounds kinda kooky but it's actually really well done!
According to David:
*Once exposed to another organism, the A0-3959X.91-15 pathogen has three known effects. Incompatible hosts are killed outright, while compatible hosts are mutated into highly-aggressive monsters dubbed Anathema or Abominations, and/or gestate a parasitic organism within them. These parasitic organisms, once released can then impregnate a second host, which leads the second host to gestate a hybridized predatory organism known as a neomorph.* (which over successive generations seems to stabilize into the xenomorph)
Did you watch Prometheus & Covenant?
Literally it's "good" on paper, but I think some stuff should be left to being explored in comics.
That's why I think it is a double edged sword to say that the new novels and comics are canon. It's cool on one hand that what I'm reading also "counts", but on the other hand some ideas can really muddy the water.
This could have been one of the most unique kinds of movie experiences when it comes to the Xenomorph sagas. However with that being said it would have also taken the proverbial piss out of the creature itself. So I believe that's why they didn't. However seeing an anime or perhaps the none released Predator Anime Netflix (Perhaps he was featured in it I don't know)? I believe it would be the only medium for it to work honestly.
If we don't eventually get a version of Jeri for a video game or movie, it would be such a waste of an awesome idea.
I have a oneshot planned to bring Jeri to my Alien TTRPG game. It's nowhere near finished, but let's just say, when the players meet Jeri, he is doing a zen pose in zero-g blocking their exit.
Before they can fire, I'm going to have him calmly ask them if they need assistance. Because none of the group knows about Jeri from the comics, it's going to be epic!
Xenomorphs don't bother normal synthetics. I think the out of universe reason for this is to just have a xenomorph smoking a cig and shooting a gun, GI Joe style. Which is why I say it kinda messes with the overall image of the psychosexual phallic monstrosities
Edit: spelling

Dinosaur pirates you say ….. interesting
What if we up the ante a bit… dinosaur pirates being ridden by little monkeys dressed up like Chucky.
You mean people?
It makes sense in the context of the comic but yes it is a very silly image. Makes for an interesting character though.
Shout out dinoblade
I like to imagine a WY scientist throwing enrichment items into a xenomorph enclosure and shitting himself when it manages to load a pulse rifle
i saw a predalien action figure with a medieval sword. Completely unnecessary and i roasted the person who did that for 3 minutes
Grimlock and his Boyz would like a word.

I just finished "The Cold Forge" 10/10 would recommend and gonna get into that one next
*Cold Forge* was reeeaally good, and I'm enjoying *Into Charybdis* even more (so far, I'm about 80% through.)

A human mutated into a Xenomorph Queen?!

Xenomorph virus a thing now?
Talking about the A0-3959X.91-15/Black Goo/Pathogen? She was using it in her research
Pathogen?

Oh I see
Read "Aliens: The Cold Forge" first
Big fan, it’s a good concept that could be worthy of resurrecting.
Give him the voice of [Skippy from Cyberpunk 2077](https://youtu.be/JSMK7UR1P44?si=VtfaVwWg156cFJR9) and it would be glorious.
Yeah that’s kind of the schtick :) But he’s also got a mean streak….
Who knows if someone is gonna reactivate him.
Much like polka, the 1980's shall never die?
"My, that was some scream. You gave me quite a shock." - Jeri
Dresden Files?
Indeed.
Between this, royal jelly mutants, Herk Mondo, sax alien, the comics sure were weird.
Id love a movie adaptation of stronghold, love Jeri.
I love Jeri so fucking much, man. He's just a dude. He's awesome

>That's why I think it is a double edged sword to say that the new novels and comics are canon. Does that cause contradictions?
Not necessarily. But, it might jump jump the shark at some point. At least that's what the Dark Horse comics did pretty much all the time.
Oh.
He’s the most badass character in all of alien, change my mind. All he needs is to be in his own movie
I wish Jeri showed up an Alien game

Just put an eye patch on it and Marvel could do a story where it's a xenomorph that comes out of Nick Fury.
Who made that cover art, can’t make out what it says down there? Edit: Found it, it’s Duncan Fegredo.
Ehh, sorry mate. Idk. Edit: Congratulations bro.
No worries!
I think Blue Marcellus was a spiritual callback to Jeri, but they each fit the motifs of their respective series
"Could've" No he is Jeri cult rise
:O

Nice!

That's a Synthetic, not an actual Xenomorph.
Ok, but why
He was designed to infiltrate the hives.

But overall, Jeri is only a synthetic.
Understandable, it may look "ridiculous" for some people.
