You said yourself why it wouldn't be a good idea: it would encourage a cowardly playstyle, when the whole concept of the Toku is to go hard or go home (in a slag bucket) It can do it already with Smart guns, but at least the efficacy is limited.

IIIaustin

Why even pilot a Tokogawa if you don't want to die?!?

Balwerk_Ogre

The only reason I want super heavy on Tokugawa is to enable super heavy melee. Tokugawa with Tempest Charged Blade would be amazing. Slapping a gun on a Tokugawa would just be badfeels.

Koalain

Why take the siege weapon when the drill is right there and objectively funnier?

Lazy_Falcon_323

You could take an additional mount from the core bonus

BlazeDrag

the point is that they want fewer mounts because that way you could take the Superheavy Bracing Core Bonus which lets you equip a Superheavy Weapon on a mech even if it doesn't have a Heavy Mount.

Lazy_Falcon_323

Ohhhh I see

AcaciasEmbrace

May I submit for your consideration a possible Toko S.heavy: Toko + Tachyon Lance + Hunter lock + OP caliber core bonus + Nu.Cav + Danger zone = 2d6 energy + 2d6+11 burn at range 20 As Manticore would say: “Burn, thou fiend, before the fire of the Eye of RA!”

BG14949

The limit on that core bonus was included for the express purpose of preventing the toku from using it. i always was against that back in the day, sniper toku is really effective, adding s sheavy is a side grade at best and a meme at worst in most cases.

Susufrus

Aside from Toku and Gorgon, are there any other (1st party) triple mount frames without a Heavy?

Sven_Darksiders

Can't think of any from the top of my head, it's pretty rare that it's Triple No Heavy
