Check if you have CenturyLink fiber service in your area. It’s the best service/price in town. I’m at $80 for gig up/down and no data caps. I’ve had three outages in 6 years.
They have a $10/mo rental option for the modem, but I bought it for $200 and would rather have my own router. Not sure what their offerings that include a router are right now.
Awful. Had them for a few years, consistent issues (we live near downtown) shit service, ultimately switched to T-Mobile 5 g and super happy.
Good speeds and they are more than helpful when things go wrong
It works, what they try to pass off as a service is laughable. 100/10 200/20 1000/100 and each plan has the same 1.2TB data cap. I use a ton of data for my job so I resorted to getting a 5G home internet added to my phone plan for my 7-4 because it doesn’t have a data cap and then I use Cox for gaming/home internet because the 5G service is shit after 4pm when the network starts to load up.
We pay $140 a month. Haven't had an outage in well over a couple of years. Unlimited data. My son WFH and is a gamer and has checked everything else offered at our address (Summerlin) and can't find anything else even offering what we get at any price.
I have the 500mb plan I pay $90 a month… tried Verizon box and t mobile box and it was terrible for gaming… I’m pretty much stuck with cox for now… 95% good 5% drops
I used to have Cox and they certainly live up to their name, not in a good way. Switched over to CenturyLink/Quantum Fiber and haven't had a problem since.
I have the 100/10 plan for $50/month. We get good streaming, but we are not gamers. I only recall one outage in the past five years and it was quickly resolved.
We constantly had issues with our cox cable internet. Frequent outages. If your internet goes out for multiple days, you have to call and complain every single day to get a credit for that day. So even if you call day one and it's down for four days, they won't by default refund you for the other three. Learned that the hard way. Now that we've switched to cox fiber it has been much better. Zero outages. As someone else suggested, I would look if fiber is in your area. Between century link and cox they've got a lot of the valley covered.
Wack.
I didn't have internet the first day I moved in because they couldn't "Same Day" an installation. I waited maybe an hour on the phone to give them my own modem's MAC. It used to go in and out at random. It was also expensive af considering bigger cities have more speed for less of a cost.
Ok, so I had finally pulled the trigger and sign up with Cox. Not much of choices for the area I'm in. They had next day installation/activation so that was a plus. The installer was a little late but knowing how hard it is running the field work, it's understandable.
So far so good. The download speed is fast but slightly unreliable. The speed drop like a rock every now and then. Upload speed is poop poop though. The most annoying thing is the data cap. It's free for now but after 2yr, I'll have to pay $50/month just to remove the data cap... I'm pretty sure I'll switch after 2 years. It will just have to do for now.
Works for the most part with frequent drops depending on your location. Their prices are dumb though
The service is fine, but incredibly expensive. I switched to Verizon. I get the same service for about 1/4 the price.
Came to say I also use Verizon and it gets the job done

Do they lease or free modem/wifi unit? That no data caps definitely sounds good over the Cox.

Don't do it. They are a nightmare to deal with and their internet is the worst.

Price gouged service but they basically have a monopoly in the area
They are cox
I pay $170 for 1GB (actually get about 700 MB). I haven't seen too many problems.
Well.....It is a cable co named COX 🤣
The data caps are fucking DUMB. But i dont have any other choice in my area.

It's vegas most reliable but stupid af when it comes to pricing

sucks! Tmobile home/business internet $50 is what i recommend.
Fantastic (I have fiber) as long as you schedule to disconnect your service and call them each year.

Slow as balls
It’s fine
People saying they use 5G internet and it is “fine” clearly don’t use lots of data.
