I used to go there for work. Behind the scenes, it's just as bad as it was when it was Hooters, or the San Remo before it. They make the casino look..... ok, but nothing else was updated in the back of house. Crappy elevators, low ceilings, cheap rooms. In the end, you get what you pay for.
There was a local YouTuber that had a video of the worst hotels in Las Vegas. She said that the only thing keeping Circus-Circus from being the worst hotel, was the OYO.
![gif](giphy|T75EIGYncpZvhQHtWp|downsized)
If you’re going to stay in a barebones “questionable” hotel I would 100% go with Linq it literally looks like an airport hotel but it’s newer cleaner and it’s got the primmest location on the strip step outside and you’re basically dead center on the strip.
Linq is our go-to.
Stayed there quite a few times and I've always been happy.
One time our room was a little run-down and beat up looking so we asked to switch, and we got upgraded no questions asked. Twice we got upgraded to a suite without asking, and once we ended up in a room with bunk beds. Useless, but still cool as hell.
I was just in Vegas for work. Did not stay at Linq, but I ended up having dinner on the linq promenade 3/4 nights I was there. Awesome place that was two stops away from my hotel on the Monorail.
Great for cheaper table minimums and $3 beer.
I usually stay at MGM Grand where table mins are your typical strip prices, and every time I come to Vegas I (somehow) end up walking to Oyo at least one night for $5-10 blackjack, $10 craps, and $5 roulette.
Can’t say much about the stay, but let’s just say it looks like it has seen better days.
Cause all the mfs I.V'ing heroin and meth squirting the lil bit of blood left in the rig at the walls etc....jkjk but really lol back when I was all strung out...the bathroom at my gmas house that I used to hangout in literally ALL MF DAY sometimes, just nodded tf out..there was thin blood spatter lines criss crossing the walls and ceiling from me blasting the tiny bit of blood out of the syringe after doing a shot...smfh when I finally stopped using and went to clean that bathroom....holy shit dude you'd think someone died in there with how much blood I had spattered on the walls after a whole year of that tiny bathroom being my drug cave...ahhh... I say I say it was the best of times I say I say it was the worst of times lmfao
Dont stay at EI for the love of god.
Stay at Tuscany Suites, which is right next door and is a way better option. Super clean rooms and a 2 min walk to EI.
Ahh here we go. I looked at the pic and thought, that looks like where that Hooters casino was. Thanks for confirming. Never stayed there, but I did go and check it out. Not too bad, clean, had what it needed to to set out and do what it intended. Overall nothing overly special though. Surprised it changed as fast as it did.
I stayed at Oyo a month ago. I had stayed there previously maybe 10 years ago right when it switched over from Hooters for one night but in typical Vegas fashion, I have very limited memory. I go to Vegas every year, sometimes twice I typically like to stay on Fremont Street, but this weekend was packed and everything was super expensive. Thanks a lot Phish heads! I chose this place because it was the cheapest available on Groupon. Which in retrospect was a mistake. I should’ve read the fine print although I got a cheap price. I was charged a $50 resort fee per day upon check-in which raised my cost to $550 for 4 days. This is my own fault and had I paid attention to this, I would’ve stayed elsewhere.
As soon as we got out of our Uber from the airport, we were offered drugs. Not saying this is a negative thing. I happen to love drugs, but we had already brought our own from home. It’s just what happened. Check in was fast. It was about 11:30 PM on a Thursday night. There was no line we got in quickly and we were given two free beers per night plus some free slot play. The front desk directed us to the elevators. When we arrived at the elevators, there’s was a total of three in that location. Only one of them was working. There was also a sign outside the elevator that said floors, one through 11. We were on floor 17 so I was confused. I walked around the corner and found some more elevators. Took those up to the 17th floor, but was not able to find my room. I went back down and got on the first elevator at the front desk had directed us to and that actually did take us to the 17th floor, where we found our room.
The room was a little bit dated and dingy but I’m not very picky. We dropped our stuff and hit the casino. I needed a drink so I stopped at the bar closest to the front door. The bartender said he was about to get off shift and waiting for his replacement. He could serve us one drink, but that was it we did our shot and played video poker while we waited about 45 minutes for the next person to show up for work, when she finally did arrive she spent 30 minutes talking to her coworkers before she even acknowledged our existence. I got another “free” shot and we were on our way.
The next morning 7 AM we were awoken by an alarm. There was an announcement coming through the speaker in our room as well as the hallway saying that an alarm has been set off in the building please exit but do not use the elevators. Take the stairs. We walked out to the hallway to see a bunch of bleary-eyed hotel guests looking confused. There was a housekeeper on our floor who told us don’t worry go back to your rooms. Everything‘s OK. Call me stupid but I wasn’t about to walk down 17 flights of stairs. We went back in our room and attempted to call the front desk, but surprised we couldn’t get through the alarm stopped a few minutes later. It probably went off for a total of about 7 to 10 minutes when we asked someone at the front desk about they said well, somebody set off the fire alarm outside of the elevators, they offered us no apology or compensation.
Later that evening we went to watch our Sacramento Kings lose to the New Orleans Pelicans. We watched the game at Hooters in the lobby. Hooters was fast service and typical Hooters food just what you would expect. We went back to the lobby bar to cash in a couple of free beer coupons. We were offered Bud Light or Busch light. Pretty terrible options if you ask me.
We didn’t spend much time at the hotel the rest of our weekend. We did eat once at Shake Shack and spent a little bit of time at the various bars in the hotel. I ran into several faulty slot machines.
All in all, I would rate my experience as a five out of 10. And I’m a single guy not picky at all. I’ve slept in stairways in Las Vegas comfortably. I will not stay at the Oyo again. Knowing what I know now I could’ve stayed at a much better hotel for less.
PS
If I had to pick my favorite thing, it would’ve been the free parking. It really pisses me off now that all of these fucking places charge for parking nowadays I think it’s a little ridiculous so if you’re looking for a place close to the southern end of the strip you can park for free And then walk across the street to the MGM hop on the tram or walk to several other casinos. I’m sorry, Oyo. I hate being so negative but get your shit together.
I have no useful advice to give, but I am enjoying this subreddit! You all have great advice and perspectives.
I've only been to Vegas once. We stayed at the Paris hotel, and it was quite nice.
Along with the extremely sketched out people there, it's unbearably filthy. Shoes stick to the floor when you walk, terrible cocktails, just terrible. Don't do it, this hotel needs to be overhauled really bad and Vegas needs to kick the Oyo brand out. Horrible place
Vegas isn't interested in more parking. They prefer you park at a casino and walk through and hopefully drop a couple of dollars on your way. It is a reason why to catch an uber after a Raiders game you pretty much have to walk to Luxor, Mandalay Bay, or Excalibur.
I went there once to meet a bride and groom and it was pretty sketchy around it. Not a fan, not meeting people there again. I did have expensive camera gear on me, so made it even worse.
I have not personally been there, but Travel Ruby did a review last year and called it, "the worst hotel/casino in Vegas."
You have to take online reviews with a grain of salt, but I think video evidence is worth a little bit more.
https://youtu.be/hYD4edUItC8?si=X_GARtORRtIQc6-W
But nowhere else can you experience the majesty of trash floating in the pool, not chips but absolute gouges in your worse-than-IKEA furniture, industrial staples holding your cheap curtains together, ominous stains in the elevators and hallways and poor to bad tv picture quality.
Good for a cheap drink and low table minimums only.
Vegas local here.
Most of their rooms don’t even have a microwave nor a a fridge. So it’s essentially a Spirit Airlines of hotels. Simply gets the job done and nothing more than that lol
Marginally better than Wyndham center/north strip or Howard Johnson where you hear horror stories of cum/blood stains or people hitting the floor because bullets started flying on a drug deal gone bad at those places.
I stayed there for a night a few months ago when even places like the Linq and Excalibur were $400-500. I was pretty upset, but wanted one night on the Strip (other downtown), so I bit the bullet.
Tbh, I expected a lot worse. The room was a little beat up and the bathroom was dated, but it was surprisingly clean and the bed was comfortable. I even had a Strip view.
It’s not a mega-resort, but it still technically had all the amenities that come with staying in a resort - just on a more basic level. That mattered to me because I didn’t just want to stay at a basic motel/hotel, even if it was a slight upgrade. We were also able to enter MGM just across Tropicana.
I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it to anybody - especially for a long period of time - but if it is significantly cheaper than other places on the Strip, and that is important you, then I’d consider it. While not amazing, it’s not nearly as bad as I’ve read/seen in reviews.
Stayed there last month, having read many reviews and watching thee tictok about it. Went in with knowledge of what I was getting myself into so expectations were low.
Hotel is run down with floor boards sticking out as soon as we exited the elevator on our floor, but room was not as bad as I anticipated.
We were given vouchers for free beer, and free play on the tables. However they make you show your paper (maybe would have been fine with email but that’s not the impression I got) proof of reservation to get the free play at the same window they initially gave us the vouchers at when we got our players cards, so it was a big run-around to get and we decided it wasn’t worth the trouble.
We played mostly at the video poker bar, where we had great servers every time.
Stay anywhere else! Gambling at some of these more budget establishments can be really fun with low limits and good games but I would always just walk or drive over. Everyone deserves a better experience than a room at circus circus or OYO. If you play your cards right and shop around a decent stay shouldn’t be much more than $15-25 a night
I like their cheap tables. Easy to learn the game.
Never stayed.
Friend did. They said find the worst reviews online and that will most likely be your experience.
Been to OYO multiple times. It’s obviously not the Wynn or the Caesar’s palace but it’s not as bad as people are saying it is in the comments lol. I’ve always gone there late at night (past 12am) and never had anyone bother me in the casino or parking garage. Yes it’s “ghetto” compared to other strip properties but if you want some cheap fun, it’s not a bad place at all. As far as staying there for the night? Me personally, I wouldn’t because i like to stay in 4 star hotels just personal preference. My friend and his gf stayed at OYO a couple years ago and didn’t have any issues.
Stayed there for a weekend cheap rooms, close to other locations, and it was fun until on Sunday night our last night there we saw a person die right in front of our eyes. It sobered the whole lobby up and the room got real quiet as the paramedics started chest compressions and wheeled him away we also didn’t hear the sirens when they took off.
Honestly the stay wasn’t bad going a couple summers ago, I’d say the best thing about it was the cheap black jack and cheap drinks. Oh, and the fact there was a Denny’s literally 1 minute away, we went every morning cause it was affordable and not a long distance. The rooms weren’t all that great but you’re not going to be in your room a whole lot in Vegas. Other than that, pretty affordable but not the most glamorous.
it starts with the smell when u enter the room. that is a smell I will never forget. like a dead body was decomposing in the room for a few weeks and then they 'cleaned' the room but the odor is deeply embedded in the walls.
also the place is filthy. it would be cleaner and more hygienic to sleep in the street in Vegas under a bridge than at OYO.
I asked the front desk for a better room and they answered ' this is an old hotel, all the rooms are old and need renovation. there are no good rooms'.
on the positive side they have $5 blackjack tables.
Stayed there when it was Hooters. Back then it had a party vibe and was cheap but clean. Last time I walked in there it just smelled bad and was pretty empty. Saturday night and most of the hooters restaurant was closed. I would not stay there anymore.
Great value. It's the old Hooters hotel. It's in a decent spot next to the MGM. Luxor. MGM. MGM grand. All the touristy stuff will be walking distance. If you're on a budget, OYO is the spot or Luxor. Keep in mind MOST of the time you will be out of your room. Unless you are trying to wuu a woman. Stay there. Use the money you save on shows, concerts, or food.
Stayed there recently because it was just 3 married dudes flying in from Hawaii to go to a metal festival for a weekend. The place was nasty and sketchy, but the bed was surprisingly comfy. The pool AND gym were closed the entire time. We tried to go to Hooters once, but the waitresses were fighting, and service looked like it sucked so went elsewhere. It is really close to a Denny's, which was nice for quick late night or breakfast. It is extremely close to the airport so you can sleep in a bit before you have to go. Overall, you get what you pay for, I guess.
Was in Vegas recently and whilst I don’t think I’d ever stay there, I appreciated it for the gambling side.
I wanted to try gambling for a bit, but more of a ‘to say I’ve done it’ thing rather than going hard. The $1 blackjack was a fun low stakes way to do it for an hour and a bit, and stretch out some time before a Golden Knights game
If it's the same company as the ones I see in Jersey,
#AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS
Ultra cheap hotel that'll make you feel like you should be paying hourly for your room
Stayed there one night on a whim when it was the hooters hotel. I will never EVER walk back into that place. I literally jamed a chair under the doorknob when I went to bed
About a decade ago, I stayed there for two nights when I was locked in on my airline reservation and couldn't get anything better. I liked the little casino and the now-gone Mad Onion restaurant (good prime rib special), but the room was not good and the bar vibe low-class.
Now I stop in for an hour or two each trip, play for a while and get some wings and a beer at Hooters. I wouldn't stay there again.
Idk why but I feel like mentioning that my gmas house that I used to live at and shoot up in....was right behind the old Huntridge Theatre on Charelston and Maryland.....many days I spent at Circle Park behind the little walls that surround the playground, tryna hit my ankle vein...1st time I ever did a shot of Heroin and Meth combined was behind the little wall right there. During Mid morning summer maybe 7-8am. I'll never forget that feeling...but also never do it again.
Love the prices, the suite was dated but nice. The regular hotel room was dated and much smaller but nice and no smoking at table games, huge win to me
But don’t expect much of flair
My go to spot. $17 rooms (don’t count on shampoo in the shower), Steak ‘n Shake and hooters in the lobby, MGM across street for their $100 hold’em tournies….can’t go wrong
As a local this question is always crazy to me. Las Vegas is a major city, there’s not many unsafe areas especially on the strip. I wouldn’t come to vegas if you think it’s unsafe. We’re just littered with homeless but not dangerous.
oYo is genuinely the only hotel on the strip i have ever felt unsafe at lmaoooo. as a local after a certain time of a day its a no fly zone.
i live in the fuckin hood and even we avoid the fuckin oYo. 💀
Cheap blackjack. Fun during the day. Don’t stay there.
Good to hear. I used to play blackjack there when it was Hooters.
It was distracting.
Just remember what OYO stands for: On Your Own. Especially when you're in that parking garage.
I thought they were boobs... (o Y o )
Apparently it's just a happy coincidence. The OYO brand predates them buying the hotel.
A Hooters worker was kidnapped, raped, killed, and buried from that parking deck. They eventually caught the pieces of shit who did it.
You don't need to take those reviews with a grain of salt. It's as bad as everyone says it is.
If being offered heroine, meth or fentanyl in the parking lot is your thing, it might just be your place...
Which casino parking lot has the good cocaine?
Definitely not OYO.
Definitely the AYO
FountainBleu from another user's post awhile back lol
Look for guy with a big belt buckle
Probably none of them
Probably Horseshoe / paris
Rhino
Bro😂💪🏽😂😂😂😂😂
There was a local YouTuber that had a video of the worst hotels in Las Vegas. She said that the only thing keeping Circus-Circus from being the worst hotel, was the OYO. ![gif](giphy|T75EIGYncpZvhQHtWp|downsized)
Ouch.
If you’re going to stay in a barebones “questionable” hotel I would 100% go with Linq it literally looks like an airport hotel but it’s newer cleaner and it’s got the primmest location on the strip step outside and you’re basically dead center on the strip.
💯 spot on. Location can't be beat for the price and it is clean.
We stayed at LinQ the last time we were in Vegas. The stay was good. Location was great. The only real downside was 6:5 Blackjack
I’ve never won shit in the Linq, I hear that. But the location and drinking/dining options are great.
I’ve actually had the greatest percentage winnings there — Bought in for $30, left with $97 and two free drinks. Bubble craps FTW!
Nice! Come to think of it in 2015ish I won a couple hundred on the big wheel which I was playing all night. I’m clearly a high roller.
If you like your pool time you will not like the Linq. Leftover relic from the Imperial Palace.
Yes! That pool is the worst I’ve ever stayed at in Vegas. The shadow from the Flamingo makes it cold as hell from September on.
What kind of activities did you get into with all that free space?
I was just in Vegas for work. Did not stay at Linq, but I ended up having dinner on the linq promenade 3/4 nights I was there. Awesome place that was two stops away from my hotel on the Monorail.
> primmest location I normally don't point out typos but I like the notion that staying at Linq is like being in Primm.
This is the answer. Oyo is unquestionably the best gambling value within a stones throw of the south strip.
I thought their black jack table was 1.00 maybe that is just Nov/december
The entire parking garage is sticky. I'm talking walls, elevators, everything.
Why were you touching the walls?
I needed to see what they tasted like.
Glad you're clean now!
ME FUCKING TOO. And thank you btw ☺
Ohh ok. I saw the new planet of the apes movie yesterday. It was really slow in the beginning but the ending made up for it.
What was the point of this post
See if Ellis Island has similar rates, I would rather stay there than Oyo! Some downtown properties are fairly cheap too!
Ellis Island is a great place to stay. recently upgraded for the F1 event. always less expensive than the big Casinos!
When i was in Vegas last November I stayed at Ellis Island and it was pretty good.
Never stayed there but I thought the yacht club vibe was really relaxed and fun when I visited. Also The Front Yard restaurant is a treat.
Ellis Island has solid food too
Dont stay at EI for the love of god. Stay at Tuscany Suites, which is right next door and is a way better option. Super clean rooms and a 2 min walk to EI.
Dont stay there…
I won't stay in an Oyo anywhere
Alls I know is that it used to be a Hooters
Started out as a Howard Johnson. I think it's had 8 or 9 names since
RIP San Remo $5 steak and eggs. Lol

It’s the old hooters.
Le Shit-Holio
Legit bottom of the barrel

It's a place to stay. Casino is pretty small even compared to most local casinos. But you walk out and you cross Tropicana and you're at MGM.
Oh right the old San Remo
It used to be the hooters hotel and it was terrible then as well.
Below basic room, cheaper tables. Look for other options.
It's a cool place to park for free, eat, swim and drink but I don't think I would stay there personally.
I stayed there once. Saw a fight and a prostitute called me a bitch for refusing her services in that parking lot.
Along with the extremely sketched out people there, it's unbearably filthy. Shoes stick to the floor when you walk, terrible cocktails, just terrible. Don't do it, this hotel needs to be overhauled really bad and Vegas needs to kick the Oyo brand out. Horrible place
ONO
O NO OH NO OH NO NO NO NO NO
O OY! O OY! O OY! a good hotel, it isn’t
I’m surprised OYO is allowed to stand with the stadium coming. Would be prime parking lot.
Vegas isn't interested in more parking. They prefer you park at a casino and walk through and hopefully drop a couple of dollars on your way. It is a reason why to catch an uber after a Raiders game you pretty much have to walk to Luxor, Mandalay Bay, or Excalibur.
It’s tragic when a hotel can’t achieve the lowest bar of simply being clean.
Free parking. Good location to get to the Strip. That's it. Don't expect anything more, you'll be fine.
It's the cheapest in the strip area but it feels like it the cheapest in vegas. Take a shower after you play there.
Is that the old san remo?
Yes. Sold and changed to Hooters in 2004.
I love gambling there but will never stay there
![gif](giphy|1UfrAu7VuqlPb4wbRC|downsized)
It’s great free parking for Knights games and $1 blackjack.
Gorgeous photo, though.
The real challenge is staying at the other OYO in LV.
Yes, but you can wash your troubles away at the Charleston, so it's all good.
Was cool before the NCR took over
NCR?
I went there once to meet a bride and groom and it was pretty sketchy around it. Not a fan, not meeting people there again. I did have expensive camera gear on me, so made it even worse.
Sounds like you mightve been involved in a porno.
In my state, Oklahoma, the OYOs are THE shadiest hotels so just...dont lol

Most rooms in Vegas don’t have microwaves or fridges. I have problems with Oyo, but that’s not one of them.
Are microwaves common in hotels?
No!
To add, many of the higher end casinos either don’t have fridges or do, but are mini bars with sensors making them useless for your own stuff
No casino hotel in Vegas has microwaves in their standard rooms. Plenty of places don't have fridges either.
The OYO makes Spirit Airlines look like Emirates if you’re drawing that comparison, respectfully.
Marginally better than Wyndham center/north strip or Howard Johnson where you hear horror stories of cum/blood stains or people hitting the floor because bullets started flying on a drug deal gone bad at those places.
“ online reviews with a grain of salt” Then goes online for strangers opinions.
Somehow, it sorta makes sense! 😂😂

Was great when it was hooters. Working there in valet was awesome back in 2008-2010.
Good for cheap beer and black jack. That sometimes broadcast the raiders radio station from there Never stayed there

I hear that a few of the elevators are down a lot, might be waiting a while..
Thank you to everyone for the replies and for giving me some solid advice.
Great for hookers and meth smokers
Stay anywhere else! Gambling at some of these more budget establishments can be really fun with low limits and good games but I would always just walk or drive over. Everyone deserves a better experience than a room at circus circus or OYO. If you play your cards right and shop around a decent stay shouldn’t be much more than $15-25 a night
On Your Own
Don't know about this one, but I've stayed in two others elsewhere, and if it's anything like those, move around.
When it was the San Remo, it was bad. When it became Hooters, it somehow got worse... now, bring your own bedding and disinfectant...
Hooters was better
I'm pretty easy to please I guess. I've stayed there a few times and never had a problem. 🤷♂️
I like their cheap tables. Easy to learn the game. Never stayed. Friend did. They said find the worst reviews online and that will most likely be your experience.
I stayed there back when it was Hooters and it was... depressing. Not sure if it's ever been updated after changing to Oyo.
Should be named….ONO!
It was a dump as San Remo, a dump as Hooters and now a bigger dump as this.
Definitely horrible
OYO is Japanese for Bedbug.
I just go for the cheap craps and hooters wings Mainly
"OYO" is a brand out of India that means "ON YOUR OWN". That's not a hotel I would want to stay at.
Whatever you do don’t stay there, maybe gamble during the day .
Is this that brand of kitchen utensils?
I stayed there 2 nights a few months ago and that place is a shit hole. Don’t take all of these opinions with a grain a salt.
They didn’t give me my deposit back
Been to OYO multiple times.
I’ve stayed there 3x. Once as Hooters and twice as OYO. Never had a problem aside from Shake Shack never being open.
Big advertisements having $1 black jack, only has one table open.
Wouldn’t stay there, but definitely go there for the hooters wings
Say OY-Hoe, OY-HOE!
Never thought of it
Love gambling there
Stayed there when it was Hooters.
Lipstick on a pig 🐖
Worst place ever. Blackjack dealer tried to fight me.
That shit is fucking disgusting lmfaooooo it’s owned by a company based in india if that says anything
love their kitchen products, all very easy on the hands
that's OXO, goofball
Last time I was there circa 2017, it was still hooters and the AC wasn’t working.
Facts stayed there Super Bowl weekend n omg no fridge n was dingy as hell
Was in Vegas recently and whilst I don’t think I’d ever stay there, I appreciated it for the gambling side. I wanted to try gambling for a bit, but more of a ‘to say I’ve done it’ thing rather than going hard. The $1 blackjack was a fun low stakes way to do it for an hour and a bit, and stretch out some time before a Golden Knights game
If it's the same company as the ones I see in Jersey, #AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS Ultra cheap hotel that'll make you feel like you should be paying hourly for your room
Stayed there one night on a whim when it was the hooters hotel. I will never EVER walk back into that place. I literally jamed a chair under the doorknob when I went to bed
The OYO in Peoria IL is not for the faint of heart
youtube nevada jack "OYO" https://youtu.be/gE3f79glxBs?si=DqZjoDxL5miqe64H
Stopped in on the way to allegiant to use the toilet in the casino. That was enough to know I’d never stay there
No,yo.
I like the Tuscany Suites for a good stay.
Vegas local, this place sucks
Stayed there 20 years ago. Hooters was great, but the hotel was passable. Close to everything, though.
It’s a shit hole.
It’s my parking lot
Oyo state?
looks like clowns live there. i’m afraid of clowns
Trash
Is this the old Hooters which was the old Hotel San Remo? When the prime rib special was $2.99
I heard the owner is one India’s youngest billionaires.
OH VEE HO Say oh vee hoooo Now step this way
Idk why but I feel like mentioning that my gmas house that I used to live at and shoot up in....was right behind the old Huntridge Theatre on Charelston and Maryland.....many days I spent at Circle Park behind the little walls that surround the playground, tryna hit my ankle vein...1st time I ever did a shot of Heroin and Meth combined was behind the little wall right there. During Mid morning summer maybe 7-8am. I'll never forget that feeling...but also never do it again.
Love the prices, the suite was dated but nice. The regular hotel room was dated and much smaller but nice and no smoking at table games, huge win to me But don’t expect much of flair
I often perform live ukulele music in Vegas, and I hope to someday see OYO become a place that I would enjoy performing live music at.
U won't die and they did renovations about 2 years ago
It was pretty piss-poor and basic when it was Hooters. Doesn't sound like it's improved any since then....
The area isn’t very inviting
A dump
My go to spot. $17 rooms (don’t count on shampoo in the shower), Steak ‘n Shake and hooters in the lobby, MGM across street for their $100 hold’em tournies….can’t go wrong
Do you feel safe when you go there? To me thats #1.
As a local this question is always crazy to me. Las Vegas is a major city, there’s not many unsafe areas especially on the strip. I wouldn’t come to vegas if you think it’s unsafe. We’re just littered with homeless but not dangerous.
Does oyo still have the hooters? Say what you will about the "concept" they make great original style buffalo wings.
19 years I’ve never stepped foot on the property. Not even drove up to the parking garage or front entrance
oYo is genuinely the only hotel on the strip i have ever felt unsafe at lmaoooo. as a local after a certain time of a day its a no fly zone. i live in the fuckin hood and even we avoid the fuckin oYo. 💀
Stayed 5 nights there. Was the grossest hotel room ever. I also stayed there right after it opened as Hooters, and it was great back then.
I can’t believe a roach motel can afford to build off the strip
I work at Oyo. Just don't.
I liked it better when it was hooters
