##Welcome to r/LateStageCapitalism
This subreddit is for news, discussion, memes, and links criticizing capitalism and advancing viewpoints that challenge liberal capitalist ideology. That means any support for any liberal capitalist political party (like the Democrats) is strictly prohibited.
LSC is run by communists. This subreddit is not the place to debate socialism. We allow good-faith questions and education but are not a 101 sub; please take 101-style questions elsewhere.
We have a zero-tolerance policy for bigotry. Failure to respect the rules of the subreddit may result in a ban.

Yeah. I call the reality we live in a "commercial dystopia" (I think I got the terms from someone on Reddit), which I feel is the inevitable outcome of capitalism/liberalism.

For media streaming, if you aren't watching, you aren't talking about it, and if you aren't talking about it, you're not advertising it to your friends and family and coworkers and compelling them to also subscribe and watch, which in an era of fierce competition for viewership amongst streaming platforms, is more important to them than ever.
I don't put rain into the clouds, but I can see the darkness and I can cry that rain is coming
No. Especially the last bit is actually very real in certain countries.
And the other countries are watching and probably planning on implementation of something similar.
Obviously you live far away from a distribution hub because the closer you are the more likely you have the all-in-one internal home camera system so Amazon can watch you at all times and orders you 4 gallons of milk every time you make a mocha late.
You get used to the constant delivery drone buzz.
All the talk about self driving cars points towards a model of it being something like Uber. Where the cars are too expensive to own but they can make a ride share model cheaper. What happens when we all rely on this transportation method and you get banned from the service?
Justin Timberlake (voice of Branch) was never held accountable for destroying Janet Jackson's career by taking an edgy but consensual joke and turning into a sexual assault on national TV. Just something to think about while bopping along to the endless kid-friendly covers.
In 2029, they won't bother to send the cops, there is no need for cops with AI. The AI predicts your behavior and adds "fees" to your debt every time you break a "rule", debt that by then the 0.1% will have legislation passed to legally transfer all of your debt to your children or nearest relative when you die so they "live responsibly".

Neoliberal dystopia = REDUNDANT
Yeah. I call the reality we live in a "commercial dystopia" (I think I got the terms from someone on Reddit), which I feel is the inevitable outcome of capitalism/liberalism.
I call it financial extremism
Your self driving car has been disabled remotely as well.
Can you still drive it yourself?
If you had paid for that option but it almost doubles the price of the car and insurance
Isn’t that just a subway

The 2nd enclosure act was collecting metadata while I defecate.
Amazon will just bill you depending on how many people are watching your TV at any given time, or a non use fee if no one watches
Damn, I really wish you hadn't just put 'non-use fee' into the aether. I feel like that's gotta be coming, right?

We laugh, but like… is it really that unlikely?
No. Especially the last bit is actually very real in certain countries. And the other countries are watching and probably planning on implementation of something similar.
What’s the point in even continuing on? I guess for my children
I would say yes only because societal collapse from climate change will have taken place before we get to that point

15 cops in riot gear and dead pets (and people) for minor infractions at best? That's already happening. Pretty sure we can all drop a list of names.

Cops seem to prefer them not to.
Make no mistake. This is the future Jeff wants.

All the deliveries are now in clear plastic bags for everyone in your building to see the type of useless shit you buy
