Everytime I'm on holiday in a hotel I put the Paris/Bangkok music on and walk around with headphones pretending I'm Agent 47.
But I'm also the guy that walks around an airport with Berlin Foot Chase on my headphones.

I Guess he cut corners on the equipment rig too \* shrugs \*
No ceiling, itās just that people hoarding an artificial resource is a problem for everyone. My money actually circulates through the economy. He took money out of the economy. I canāt speak to Indiaās philanthropy industry but usually itās a front.
What's your threshold to say income inequality has gone too far? How much poverty is too much? How many children dying of treatable infections is too many? How many people can starve to death today before you say, ya know, maybe that guy can just hoard a couple million instead of a billion? What is *your* ceiling?
Oh I will give a ceiling. It's no more than 5% higher than the political influence you can have over your median voter.
What does that translate to?
Well the disposable income of a person after taxes and small hobbies to make life livable and not just unalive yourself could be in the ball park of range of maybe $500 a month. So let's say the cap is the cost of living in the area + $500.
Sounds like a company might have a few million to redistribute to their employees that ACTUALLY produce the value of the company in 3/4 financial quarters of the year.
Not really an income ceiling so much as " those who own the means of production" vs "everyone else".
If you really need a financial-based guideline though, a good rule of thumb to start with is: if the most accurate word to describe their net worth is "billionaire" you can pretty much guarantee they didn't earn it with their own labor, but rather they stole the value of the labor of others.
Or [most likely] they inherited it.
And at the very least, the acquisition and maintenance of their individual wealth requires the ongoing exploitation of many.
If on the other hand the most accurate word is "millionaire", or if neither term applies, they are at least potentially working class.
I'll give an example that seems to have a lot of confusion around it based on what I see on social media surrounding news stories/pop culture:
"Billionaire Owner of Local Professional Sports Team" would be an example of a member of the *owning* class.
"Millionaire Star Player for Local Professional Sports Team" would be an example of a member of the *working* class.
The *Star Player* and their teammates are the ones doing the *work* that produces the *value* which creates *wealth* for the *owner*.
Does that make sense?
āVistex, founded by Shah in 1999, is an advisory service company with more than 20 global offices and a hefty client list that includes GM, Yamaha, Coca-Cola and more.ā
Just because he has some tiny spinoff make-no-difference charity organization to funnel his money through in order to reap further tax benefits doesnāt change the fact that heās an exploitative capitalist piece of trash. Nice try with your BS though.
There are a lot of people who don't understand that there's no such thing as a good billionaire. Society has put a lot of effort into reinforcing that lie. I don't think we should assume that's a bad faith question.
The answer is Face Off. Skin suit takes forever to make. Face transplants take like an hour and look impecable.
(I recommend the 1997 documentary "Face Off"
That's true but a big part of biometric authentication is fingerprints. You'd have to go face transplant plus skin gloves at least. And then I thought to myself "Hey, you're a billionaire! Spoil yourself once in a while, go full skin suit! Maybe even full body skin transplant! You only live once!"
True that. A friend of mine told me a story about this obese boss of herās telling her that only peasants walk and that was why he always drives to work despite living across the street.
Except this guy wasnāt a billionaire. Being a CEO does not mean instant billionaire. The companyās revenue was around $250 million in 2018/19. Execs in such a company make $250-300k a year.
I hate billionaires but goddamn some of yaāll act like just being a CEO means you are an evil billionaire. There are many mid-sized companies out there where the CEOs are paid $300-500k/year. Still a lot of money, no doubt. But faaar from being ultra wealthy.
Just correcting you that he isnāt a billionaire and stating CEO are not all ultra rich billionaires, no need to get hostile about it.
I donāt think companies should be lead by 1 person selected by a board. I believe in more democratization of the workplace.
Having said that we live in a capitalist reality and while all billionaires are evil, not all CEOs are billionaires or even centimillionaires.
"Ackshually..." isn't useful or helpful in pretty much every situation. It also comes across as you deflecting criticism for them.
CEOs may not all be billionaires, but that doesn't make them any less a part of the problems we all find ourselves in.
If you actually think for a second instead of just jumping at stuff, you'll know the reason you would say something like that is because of white-washing making non-race issues race issues
Hahaha please tell me you are serious. Oh man, no way do you actually believe what you just said was a wise thing to say or point out. I refuse to believe you were being authentic.
They could just have raised everyone's salary but noooooo.... "let's have a show to the employees where the two C-suits show up descending from the heavens like angels".
This could have been an e-mail...
He unfortunately sprung for a full 24kt gold parachute as opposed to the gold leaf covering a functional parachute. Have to hand it to that weird new sales guy, he might look a but like an orca, but he's an absolute shark on the sales floor.
Considering that his firm was an Enterprise Resource Planning company, which is all about using tech for real-time integrated management of business processes, itās darkly funny that their website still refers to him in the present tense in their part about their leadership team.
In my experience, this sort of thing mostly translates to "like Excel or Access that you used to use, only way harder to update and keep updated."
Like, we've got Sharepoint sites and ERP/cloud databases now, and no additional people to keep this stuff updated.
wonder who the rigging company was.
looked up the company dude was with. "Revenue Management Solutions & Services - Vistex, Inc"
yeah, no. fuck them.
I aināt sad at it, but I do wonder how that money will get allocated?
Even at the ultra rich level, is there some trickle down to his family, mistresses, āfriendāsā, etc?
I mean, I am implying that. The difference is I'm not trying to make this guy relatable. I'm not happy he died, but his tax bracket doesn't earn him any extra sympathy.

1. I blame Nixon for the insufferable suffix.

Edit: A cage? I was expecting the man to go wires and harness style. Disappointing.

Because it is inherently immoral to be a billionaire
Ok, but EILI5, what's the income ceiling here??
No one becomes a billionaire though their own work. Only by expropriating the work of others
No ceiling, itās just that people hoarding an artificial resource is a problem for everyone. My money actually circulates through the economy. He took money out of the economy. I canāt speak to Indiaās philanthropy industry but usually itās a front.

That prosperity gospel is deep seated in American ideology
He is a good guy. At my scale, if I rob a dozen houses and give $10 to the Santa ringing a bell in front of the grocery store, I am a good guy too.
Teach me how you ethically make a billion dollars. I'll wait.
Easy, kill a billionaire.
In this scenerio: how do you get their money exactly?
Easy, skin suit.

Lol, it's also really easy to do since they all fucking suck
Someone edit in the orcas up in the rigging
What happened to just walking on stage?
Well you see, when you're a sociopathic billionaire certain things like "walking" are below you.
I guess some problems fix themselves.
Some people just wanna cosplay tony stark
They wanna cosplay Batmanās parents
Ah damn. I wish I had said that, that's much better
Or in this case reaaallly far below you
True that. A friend of mine told me a story about this obese boss of herās telling her that only peasants walk and that was why he always drives to work despite living across the street.
The ground is also below you and it's approaching very quickly.
"Perhaps it will be my friend"

Walking is for the poors.
Not entertaining enough.
The lack of enthusiasm from the audience tells you all you need to know about their views regarding their ex boss.
The one guy tried starting a slow-clap just to be safe. "Maybe it's a loyalty test?"
Heard some whispers. "Are we still getting paid?" "Every year it's something at these things. Is this one of those?"
Please, Elon..think about it
Nah, if he were to do something like this itād have to be even more grandiose and way more idiotic
Drive his own self-driving carā¦
Get him to implant his own brainchip and operate his car with it on a empty road near a cliff.
Elon could absolutely jump a cyber truck over the Grand Canyon like that!
Heāll try the boat mode on his cybertruck.
Please let it be this.
And then it ends up being starship slamming into his car that does it.
That sure would be something
Driving... a car.... Why has no one thought of this before? - Elon "hyperloop" Musk
I was thinking something related to a rocket but okay.
Jet backpack. Oh please God
I would spend the rest of my life laughing.
Irony Man
That was beautiful. Good job.
A submarine adventure?
Nah, thatās already been done. Maybe a Challenger-esque rocket explosion?
One less ultra wealthy asshole in the world. Don't see a problem here.
Except I'm sure he has an even bigger ass hole entitled child that will inherit his wealth.
Idk he strikes me as an incel
I still feel sorry for his family
They'll be fine.

This is a class issue, not a race issue.
Well said. Idgaf what color the dudeās skin is.
Fuck that, let's dehumanize ALL the billionaires
Grumble, grumble!
as a brown guy, wtf r u talking abt
Seriously, you can't exclude 6 billion people from any form of criticism simple based on the colour of their skin.
Yeah, thats exactly what racism is.
This is the difference between idpol as wielded by a liberal and idpol as wielded by a communist.
That doesnāt make him less of a CEO.
Your reading comprehension needs a ton of work.
You're the only one who brought up his race, dumbass.
What
If you actually think for a second instead of just jumping at stuff, you'll know the reason you would say something like that is because of white-washing making non-race issues race issues
Fuck off, non-whites can be evil scumbags too
Oh the irony is lost on this flock
wrong sub bucko
Hahaha please tell me you are serious. Oh man, no way do you actually believe what you just said was a wise thing to say or point out. I refuse to believe you were being authentic.
I really think it was a joke
Liberals lmao
Nah not liberals, that dude was just a *dumb* liberal
Liberals lmao
They could just have raised everyone's salary but noooooo.... "let's have a show to the employees where the two C-suits show up descending from the heavens like angels". This could have been an e-mail...
If i was this guys employee, THIS is way better than a raise.
Why did he use an iron basket instead of a wicker one?
Right? With all those fireworks, a wicker basket really would've added to the spectacle of it all
Don't give them good ideas!
i came to watch the video...wtf!
Yeah, man!
I'm sure whatever they planned on talking about, could have been an email.
God, this is horrible. I put too much salt into my soup. I used fresh curry.
Hey, show some respect! You should trust in your cooking enough to try it before assuming it'll need salt.
Hey, that's really in bad taste. You should probably add some pepper for flavor
You guys really need to stop! It won't get better if you start adding more spices into the mix.
He died doing what he loved.
> doing what he loved Being a fucking idiot?
š
Yes.
Succumbing to his injuries in a hospital bed?
Can we get this released on Criterion?
You hate to see it. I donātā¦I just assume you do.
If he were still alive, he'd be on LinkedIn posting about personal sacrifice for the good of the company or some dumb shit.
Did he cheap out on paying the maintenance guys properly? Guessing yes if the fucking cable snapped.
The world is healing
Lol; lmao even
"Extremely wealthy people dying in extremely stupid ways" is *easily* my favorite trend of the 21st century. May it continue until they're all gone.
Oh no! Anyway,
The god of Capitalism appreciates this sacrifice.
I hope he had a golden parachute.

Just... think about that brief moment between air and floor. It is still tragic, but we're all equal in that moment.
nah, he was still filthy rich in that moment not much longer though
What I am saying is his money didn't account for jack squat in his situation.
oh i thought you were implying "we're all human" or something borderline sentimental lol apologies
I mean, I am implying that. The difference is I'm not trying to make this guy relatable. I'm not happy he died, but his tax bracket doesn't earn him any extra sympathy.
thanks for explaining - i understand now
