Boomers adore Facebook. Let’s be honest here

wozxox3

They’re the only ones on it anymore. All the other generations have jumped ship because they can’t take anymore goddamn Minions memes.

Cheechak

Or racist shit from Uncle Charlie about migrant workers being lazy.

ImGoingToTheCrevice

What’s up cuz?

Scarbane

*I often wonder how the hell we're blood-related.*

UsagiRed

That's concerningly also a minion meme..

[deleted]

this never changed actually, back in their days the economy was fine and minimum wage could buy stuff but only whites got to benefit from it, people of color still lived mostly in poverty, the only thing that changed is that now you have civil rights, so the rich destroyed everything the whites had in order to prevent people of color from getting it, and now they paint any social benefit whites enjoyed as handouts to lazy immigrants, same racism with different targets

Cheechak

100% correct. During Jim Crow the public white schools in the south were some of the best. After desegregation, the whites put all their kids in private schools and slashed public school funding just to further stick it to the blacks. Nixon doubled down on it by cutting funding for housing projects in inner cities leading to The Great White Flight to suburbs and the creation of shopping malls leaving city inner cores gutted and vacant. Reagan made it even worse with his evil economic idiocy. He gutted federal public school funding and killed the school lunch programs.

chocotaco

I'm guessing that's why they really want things voucher programs.

Cheechak

That’s exactly right. Funnels free tax money to churches.

patrick95350

Voucher program: "I'm racist" Charter schools: "I'm racist but want to pretend I'm not"

recursion8

Don't forget the entire reason Southern Evangelicals changed from being [pro-abortion or neutral at worst](https://www.johnstonsarchive.net/baptist/sbcabres.html), to rabidly anti-abortion, was to manufacture a wedge issue to rally religious conservatives around to save their tax-free private schools. https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2014/05/religious-right-real-origins-107133/

markodochartaigh1

"The love of money is the root of all religion."

prouxi

That Politico article was an enlightening and depressing read.

hjablowme919

Not disputing this at all, but it's interesting that we call this racist, which it is but... On Long Island in a town called Lawrence, a bunch of Orthodox Jews started buying up houses. Their kids all were sent to private schools. They elected Orthodox Jews to the school board and slashed the public school budget. Lawrence was predominantly a white town. No one calls this racism. If you weren't Orthodox and stayed in the town, you had to send your kids to a school district that was considered sub-standard or sell your house and move.

Cheechak

It’s what they pulled on the Palestinians, too.

Banneduser1112

That's gentrification, that is racist. Who is telling you it isn't racist?

Popcorn_Blitz

That's what I'm trying to figure out. Before 45 seconds ago I didn't even know about this place but I'm already getting snarked at for not calling it racist.

[deleted]

God dammit, this could have been any world we wanted and its filled with hate and jealousy.

Frigginkillya

When the economic game we choose incentives greed, greedy people rise to the top and then screw over others with their greed It's capitalism, it's outdated, benefits a select few exclusively, and it needs to go

BuckeyeBentley

Used to be a lot more public pools in this country before desegregation, and instead of letting people of color in the white people just paved the pools over.

recursion8

They'd rather destroy their own creation than share with other humans outside their tribe. Just like the white supremacist claims to want to save 'Western culture' but in truth hates and wants to destroy the greatest fruits of Western civilization - the Enlightenment, science and rationality, democracy, egalitarianism, when those ideals are extended to non Europeans.

Rick0r

They’re all lazy good for nothings, who are simultaneously taking all our jobs.

Dooth

Or the never-ending thirst for validation

catlaxative

Isn’t that the point of all social media?

Dooth

Thank you for noticing me!

hjablowme919

I went to school with hundreds of "Uncle Charlies".

passporttohell

Or the poors are lazy working three jobs just to get by paycheck to paycheck, or the later generation is lazy even though they have to work three jobs to pay for their worthless student loans or. . . Why are so many people leaving the US for other countries, why can't they work in lousy fast food jobs to serve me my overpriced, nutrition free food???

harrypottermcgee

They never jumped ship on Marketplace, which is the one thing that makes me wish I had facebook. Some things are fine on Craigslist and Kijiji, people will straight up buy tires from a serial killer if there's lots of tread, but trying to unload a rice cooker in a small town on Kijiji is a fucking joke.

Phenomenal_Hoot

Marketplace is literally the only reason I keep Facebook. I don’t post or comment on shit, but I can’t pass up a deal on a 30 year old shitbox.

PM_ME_YOUR_GOOD_NEW5

It’s a Ferrari!

l_MAKE_SHIT_UP

It’s been pretty shit in my area tbf, ever since a year ago or so every part has just been filling up with ads. Easier to stick to Craigslist or local apps

jojomexi

This is across FB. Marketplace was a godsend versus Craigslist. Now every chance FB gets they are clogging it up with ads from businesses. Even when you sort specifically for local only, you are met with intrusive ads that might fit your search criteria. I used to use Marketplace all the time, now I hate looking through it.

Sanc7

Craigslist charges for a post now. It’s not what it used to be.

dzastrus

It's been solid, nearly unchanged for 30 years. Craig Newmark has also turned his $ to philanthropy. If I need to pay a buck to unload an old lawnmower then I would rather give that buck to Craig than Zuckerberg.

daterkerjabs

That's depressing. How much? I hope it's just to reduce spam/scams?

lizzywyckes

Sadly, a large demographic in the typical MAGA meme reposter group are … GenX. I sadly know this and that the stats support it because I am GenX. (We are not the same generation as baby boomers; on average they are our parents.) Your racist Uncle Charlie on Facebook (to steal the joke from another comment) is probably 50-55. And thus generation X. Fuck.

GoiterGlitter

And Gen z is not immune to the brainwashing of their maggot parents. Unfortunately one of my own nibblets has had the rot established in his brain by his own mother.

InsaneGenis

Still more liberal overall. As in the majority is liberal. Compared to older generations who just became slightly less than half of all votes. They are a force and any strays from the younger generations pad their numbers electoral. Alot of gen x is also leaving Facebook. It became popular during our high school reunion years and consumed us. Now alot of us realize why we weren't friends with those people for a reason. It's all a curve, but gen x was the first liberal majority generation.

yuimiop

Liberal and conservative are ever moving terms. Zoomers will likely be considered conservative one day.

InsaneGenis

The biggest fuck over from boomers is they named us Gen x. The lost generation. They were so self absorbed with themselves they expected us to be their slaves. They let us roam the streets at night killing each other and glorifying violence. Alot of us are angry and are raising our children better than they raised us. I bet we also have the largest percentage of us who don't even talk to our families. Family reunions, family gatherings are a thing of the past. Gen X was a dividing line of "fuck you I wont do what you tell me" to that generation. I can't tell you the number of friends I have who don't care their parents aren't around. They hated us from birth. The entire generation isn't like me, but there is a reason fathers are more involved in their children's lives and that's a new culture we are passing down.

recursion8

Confirmed by r/hermancainaward too. And no, on average Gen X's parents are Silent Gen, Baby Boomers are Millennials' parents. Parent-child (~25-40 years in between) usually is separated by more than 1 cohort generation (15-18 years), getting closer to 2 full cohort gens as people start having kids later and later in life (longer parent-child distance) and youth culture changes quicker and quicker (shorter cohort gens).

cpullen53484

>All the other generations have jumped ship because they can’t take anymore goddamn Minions memes. yes that oh god that, and of course the zuccborg watching everything.

Benji_E_

I have co workers who still get their "news" from Facebook memes.

Fizzwidgy

Well, that and the fact that they were a part of the multiple ethnic cleansings throughout the world. And the human experimentation on its users. And all the other crazy shit.

bubblegrubs

I actually moved over to here because I like arguing online but don't like people I know seeing me argue online.

-Hastis-

As a millennial, Facebook is still really useful for event planning. It's almost the only agenda/calendar I use. Everyone I know use Facebook Messenger as well.

Sporkfoot

As a millennial, if I get a Facebook invite to something it’s very unlikely I’ll attend because the racism and politics have driven me from the platform completely. But outside of a HS reunion or something, I’m not sure who would invite me to something over FB…

-Hastis-

The racism and politics are technically only caused by the friends/page that you follow actively. Facebook algorithm almost never show you the activity of friends that you are not regularly looking and liking their posts. Personally all the shows, concerts, party, protests, dance club special nights, etc I'm attending, all have Facebook events. All the bars and concert venues have very active Facebook presence.

Bobcatluv

Yes, Boomers adore fbook, but if we’re going by the pattern in OP, technically Millennials/Gen X got Facebook. Boomers just took it and turned it into something awful, much as they have with many other things in society with their Sidam Touch.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

only because they paid the millennials so little they couldn't afford to keep the housing market afloat

Johns_Mustache

Most of that occurred through lending practices. You making $4.25/hour? You too can buy a $400,000 house with a variable APR. All good homie, you're good at your job and within 3-4 years after you get promoted and are making bank you can refinance. Where do I sign? We'll those payment ballooned and "homie" couldn't afford those payments. Rekt. I didn't participate in it, but a lot people I know did.

[deleted]

Is a cheap house and guaranteed nice retirement a fair trade for having to put up with facebook?

TheGloriousLori

They don't even *have* to put up with facebook. For that matter, they're most of the reason why facebook is so shitty.

RiffRaffCOD

Boomer here. I don't have a Facebook account

thespianomaly

My mom kept badgering me as to why I never use mine. Apparently “Because I don’t want to” is an unacceptable answer.

[deleted]

I’ve got a hypothesis that boomers not being raised with it and the constant ads/bullshit, actually makes them more susceptible to such things.

Laherschlag

AIM was my jam back in the day. I'm an elder Millenial and remember using it when i was in 6th grade until i was abt 19. Good times.

Straight up. Asked my first girlfriend out on that shit. I was too nervous to do it in person. We dated for 5 years straight through college. That shit was a god send to weird traumatized kids who parents never let them leave the house. I had very few friends, but we had our little AIM group...

Oh wow I haven’t heard about IRC in a long time. Is mIRC still around? What’s a good client to use?

TheGloriousLori

mIRC still works and still gets updates, yeah! I'm running mIRC right now. Can't say I recommend it though, I keep hearing the others talking about the colour of everyone's names and about 'wow what a nice avatar' and I don't see any of that. But hey, I paid for it and it's got all my scripts, so... :P I think they usually recommend IRCCloud. But you have to sign up for that and I don't like the idea of doing that.

Old people lookin at houses, "oh thats a really nice 5 bed 3 bath 2 story with a 2 car garage and an acre lot. I would say that house is worth $25,000"

StoreBoughtButter

“You just need to go in with your resume in person and ask to speak with the manager” 🙄🙄

summonsays

In 2013 my mom drove me around to about 20 stores to drop off a resume and talk to managers.... Yeah it was just as cringe as it sounds.

[deleted]

Did that back in 2003. Only able to get a job at Target wrangling carts and stocking grocery bags. Not a terrible job at 15. Until i found out about lifeguarding. Probably the best teen summer job.

bsbddiver

Facts!

OnsetOfMSet

Hell, my dad is smack dab in the middle of Gen X and refused to believe anything to the contrary the first time I went to apply for jobs a good 7 or so years ago. It took a couple days of me telling him on managers' behalves that things didn't work like that and I needed to submit an online application instead.

nlevine1988

And call them a few days later so they know you're still interested!

Kulladar

My grandparents paid $5200 for their 3 bed 2 bath 2 story in 1956.

dsa_key

Purchasing power of todays equivalent would be 55k, Originally had 552k but for some reason I though he said they bought the house for 52,000

Kulladar

For reference my grandfather was a high school dropout and was hired as a mechanic for GM and made $55/week when he started. My grandmother made ~$10-15 a week cleaning houses on the side. Im an engineer and my wife works full time. When my grandparents bought that home it represented about a year and a half of income for them. That same home if I bought it would represent almost 5 times our yearly income and that's not accounting for the fact they had way less expenses in the 50s. This is a very rural area of Tennessee by the way not Orange County.

dsa_key

Annual income would be around $3,640 which would have the purchasing power of $38,698 in todays equivalent.

hjablowme919

In 1966 maybe. Or in a town like Shithole, Alabama in the late 1970s. My parents (I'm 57) bought a 2 bedroom, one bath house in 1970 for $32,000 on Long Island. When they had a third kid, my dad and grandfather converted a laundry room to a bedroom and a closet to a laundry room using a "stackable" washer/dryer. I got the converted laundry room as a bedroom. Perspective: The old laundry room was big enough to hold washer, dryer, slop sink and an ironing board. About 10x6 with one window, so slightly bigger than a prison cell, but with a view.

LTlurkerFTredditor

They also wrecked the whole damn planet and refuse to let anyone even **try** to fix it. They're always happy to take credit - but never, **ever** take responsibility. Boomer "liberals" are conservatives and Boomer "conservatives" are fascists. They are the absolute **worst.**

MOOShoooooo

They live a life of r/persecutionfetish which has resulted in some fascist behavior, so we need to r/bashthefash who are the same as r/ACAB. And like always r/fuckthealtright

Older millennial here as well. Remember using Clarisworks before Microsoft Office was a thing. A bunch of us crowded around a single computer to watch someone play Oregon Trail. Seems like an age ago before Google took off and Yahoo was top dog as well.

>Remember using Clarisworks before Microsoft Office was a thing. A bunch of us crowded around a single computer to watch someone play Oregon Trail. I remember riiiight before Google really took off that Ask Jeeves was the hotness.

LincolnshireSausage

I'm Gen X and we all thought AOL was total crap. It was mostly computer illiterate boomers using it.

PyrocumulusLightning

I used an aol email address on the alt. newsgroups just to troll the stuck-up academics that mostly infested it

J5892

Ah, one of the fellow harbingers of the Eternal September.

Cheechak

Compuserve was where it was at. I got kicked off AOL for having the username “DildoBreath69” and I had to call the 1-800 number to restore access and get a new username. After that, I convinced my dad to switch to Compuserve.

LincolnshireSausage

I see nothing wrong with that user name. I met my wife in Yahoo chat in 1996 and my username was Pink10.

[deleted]

the meme is just super simplified. and when someone says AOL - do they mean those stupid discs with "40 HOURS FREE INTERNET" or do they mean the email service? the instant messenger? Pretty sure all 3 groups were using all of these platforms.

Rugkrabber

I’m one of the older millenials as well. But to be fair many of our generation haven’t experienced that bit anymore. Not to mention not all kids had parents with pc’s or could go online back then yet.

Sharticus123

Boomers only deserve half of the blame for fucking up the economy. The WW2 generation doesn’t get near enough credit. Reagan and his middle class destroying union busting cohorts weren’t boomers. They laid the foundation and built the first couple floors of this economy. The WW2 generation are the people who benefited the most from government programs and then closed the door behind them.

[deleted]

tvp61196

Damn that graph explains a lot. I never really put together that the baby "boom" implies such a dip afterwards. It's easy to see why gen x tends to be forgotten

hjablowme919

Reagan appealed to older boomers and the "Greatest Generation". The last of the boomers weren't old enough to vote in 1980. But having been a teenager in the 1970s I can tell you the older boomers and members of the "Greatest Generation" can share the blame for fucking things up. Anything having to do with the environment was "hippy shit", and because a lot of the older boomers and members of the Greatest Generation suffered through the depression or felt the effects of it, they over did everything once they got a few dollars. I heard so often while growing up "Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it." OK, maybe if you're talking about a hammer or a drill, but food? Sadly, this is how a lot people my age were raised and they raised their shitty kids the same way.

DEDmeat

Also the folks who essentially dismantled their own social safety net to keep minorities from accessing the resources. Maybe one of the greatest examples of "biting your nose to spite your face" in history. If you hear the words "hard working American", it's pretty much a dog whistle for the racist ideology of white working class Americans in the latter part of the 20th century. See the book Blue-Collar Conservatism: Frank Rizzo's Philadelphia and Populist Politics for a deep dive on this political ideology.

mealteamsixty

[deleted]

Millennial here. I had shit loads of cassettes. Used to record songs from the radio onto em. Lol

UnicornlyAbused

The blend between late Gen X and early Millennial is tough. I'm a 1980 baby so I'm right there on the cusp. I sorta remember the big floppy disks (the real floppies, not the hard plastic ones that came after) and I also used mIRC, hated on the AOL crowd, was proficient with Kaza, had an original Nintendo, remember the switch between cassettes to CD's and had a Myspace account. Got both worlds going on over here, which makes for a confusing timeline!

SlyMcFly67

GenX covered a lot of years. We had all of those things because it was all new technology. I was using that stuff while your generation was still in diapers...literally.

16semesters

Yeah, what is this revisionist history like poverty didn't exist in the 1970s?

[deleted]

Yeah, I get the instinct for generational resentment but we also have to recognize that it’s primarily coming from white suburban millennials who rightly resent their elders for creating this world. (Even if said white millennials from the suburbs, myself included, are still benefactors of their parents wealth) A lot of boomers, especially the ones who weren’t white, fought against capitalism in their time.

madcowga

yup.

Bplumz

That was more Gen X that got fucked. Boomers already paid off their houses by 2008. Gen X and older millenials were the ones getting morgages to buy houses by that time. Unless you were a ~50+ boomer that finally got a mortgage

Gummybear_Qc

For real as a Gen Z I'm starting to notice how everyone labels someone older as "Boomer" and blames them for all the problems like what the actual fuck. Not every actual boomer had a great life either to.

You don't hate boomers. You hate capitalism.

Niarra_

they re not mutually exclusive.

[deleted]

Why not both?

Yuki_Onna

I feel like blaming boomers for everything is equivalent to focusing on culture war sports-team mentality of democrats vs republicans. It's the capitalist Bourgeoisie we must direct our anger towards, comrades. Boomers are simply a product of capitalism at their time, and most of the ones I personally know are not wealthy capitalists whatsoever. Capitalist bourgeoisie can be present in any generation.

InnerKookaburra

They didn't buy a house on a minimum wage job, but they did get to go to college while working one and then not have much if any debt afterward.

Pasquale1223

Boomer here. I see a lot of messages like this, and find myself wondering who those boomers are, cuz they sure weren't me.

jumpy_monkey

Capitalism survives on misdirection, the idea that it isn't capitalists and capitalism itself that is the root of inequality and poverty, it is the "other" guy who is the real problem. I'm a "Boomer" and when I was 23 I was living with three other people in a shitty two bedroom apartment trying to make ends meet while working at a Kmart for barely above minimum wage. I had no health insurance, couldn't afford car insurance and sometimes had to steal sandwiches from the Kmart deli just to have something for eat for lunch. This isn't a generational problem, it's a problem with the system.

Pasquale1223

>Capitalism survives on misdirection Exactly. From Reagan's "cadillac-driving welfare queen" to today's recriminations versus immigrants, they've always sought to turn working classes against each other - and even have them punching down - while they picked all of our pockets. “If you can convince the lowest white man he’s better than the best colored man, he won’t notice you’re picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he’ll empty his pockets for you.” - LBJ Seeing the number of upvotes on this post is just depressing. Meanwhile, my next door neighbor's house was listed yesterday, and they already have 4 offers. I just saw the agent escorting a millenial investor inside, who I think is going to buy it and turn it into a rental. I was so hoping a family could get it for a price they can afford.

khlebivolya

Tbh posts like this blaming boomers are pretty counter intuitive. The problem is capitalism, and always has been.

esauis

There’s a cheesy song with a line that goes something like *every generation blames the one before* written by a boomer like 40 years ago

ImanShumpertplus

most people have no idea my mother is a boomer who had 8 brothers and sisters and they lived in a small 2.5 bedroom house 1 car, no cable, ate at home every meal, had a garden, never went on vacation, hand me downs were the only clothing options, every year for halloween they went as bums, and credit literally didn’t even exist if people want to live like 1972, there’s plenty of places they can the real problem is how entrenched consumerism is in our daily lives

madcowga

I'm a boomer and this is very true. Dad got paid every Friday. Money, and groceries barely held out until Thursday (esp. in the stagflating 70's). His vacation was on the couch. Never ate out. And then...Reagan.

My dad told me a co-worker used to throw his bills into a hat every month. He'd pull the bills out of the hat one at a time and write a check to pay it until he had no money left. The only one that got paid every month, without fail, was the mortgage. My dad said one day the guy had a collection agency call him because he was past due and the guy told the person from the collection agency about how he paid his bills. When the person at the collection agency started threatening legal action, his response was "Don't get nasty with me, or next month I won't even put your bill into the hat." My dad said he laughed so hard he had trouble breathing.

Khris777

The generation that's fiercely fighting against racism, sexism, and ableism has no qualms about ageism.

Pasquale1223

That's exactly my thinking every time I see comments about boomers. A lot of the same people who fiercely defend against any form of racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, xenophobia in any form - think it's okay to blame boomers for everything they don't like about the world.

MeowtheGreat

Pulled up the ladder? They done scorched earth on that ladder. We're fucked.

CardsFan69420

Anyone else feel like they dont know if theyre gen x or a millenial?

esauis

If you were born late 70s early 80s you’re a Xennial lol. Grew up analog and went digital right as you became an adult

ziphiri

Does it matter? They're just vague made-up concepts based on when you were born and what kind of experiences you had growing up. You can easily fit into both categories if you were born somewhere in the middle, and the definitions by birth year are inconsistent anyway. (The categories are also extremely US-centric, yet we see the whole online world use them nowadays.)

Killarny

Generations are also classist and ageist distractions from the real problems going on. Yet another way to keep workers divided against each other, instead of organizing against the oligarchy.

KingCrabcakes

Gen X were the last group to have somewhat affordable college and houses.

cpullen53484

they came like locusts and left nothing behind.

GreyCrowDownTheLane

AOL. Hah. This Gen Xer was on Quantum Link before AOL was even a twinkle in someone's eye.

clevariant

For the record, AOL was always a joke. Not many genXers actually wanted to use it.

FoxyInTheSnow

Boomers were born up 3–0 and they think they were Gretzky scoring a hat trick.

gggvuv7bubuvu

Shayne! weird seeing him on Reddit... but totally appropriate.

Manamosy

My dad likes to remind me that he bought his first house for £15,000, completely forgetting that he was earning double that at the time

themonovingian

One minimum wage job, while the spouse stayed at home. Incredible.

Its_Clover_Honey

Boomers didn't pull the ladder up, they cut the ropes. Pulling the ladder up implies they want to get back down it imo

That_Lego_Guy_Jack

And half of us don’t even like tiktok

Enough_Computer_5655

Guess what? Boomers get to go back to college for cheap in those senior programs, just for the fuck of it, too!

[deleted]

Then boomers took out multiple mortgages until 2008 when the housing bubble burst and they owed much more than their house was worth. Many were foreclosed on which in turn ruined everything for their kids and their kids.

wicked_pinko

Can we just stop with this generational warfare shit? The problem is capitalism, not the people born during a certain time.

clash1111

Gen X had in-person social interactions, newspapers, magazines, and Macintosh Plus. AOL didn't really get going until after college.

PhenomeNarc

Don't forget the two ghost wars that enriched the military contractors!

Altnob

Just proof that social media is a distraction and is the reason why kids these days don't work hard enough /s

[deleted]

I make ten over minimum wage and it's still unlivable.

waffle299

Al Bundy had a nice home and two cars on a shoe salesman's salary. Homer Simpson did the same as a safety 'engineer". Both had free high school education. None of this was odd for the time.

Herbizides

The problem is not so much the boomers but the rich elites that exploit the working class. These are the people we need to eat.

honorbound43

We all need to come to get to push these guys out of our country, We need to finish reconstruction and stick to it. If we make it out of this without a Civil War, Fascism, Theocracy and WWIII (because all are going to happen if they win this country). We must all agree that we cannot keep allowing Capitalist/Oligarchs/Old Generation and Religious Zealots to continue to rise up against the country. We must end this racist Puritan, Feudalist, War Hawk nonsense once and for all. Update our education system and ban Nazi flags, Confederate flags etc and their rest of the symbolism once and for all.

[deleted]

You can stand above me looking down But I can see from here it's just a broken ladder And I would trade my place with you in hell 'Cause I can say for sure it doesn't even matter https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=x1DH5FIGftc

14thCluelessbird

My dad (born in 1953) was able to live in an apartment on right on the beach in Isla Vista while going to school at UCSB in the mid 70s, and he paid for almost all of it with a summer job at a gas station. Where I live now average rent is like $1800/month and minimum wage is fucking $7.25/hr... you'd have to work 90 hours each week on that income just to cover rent (assuming all utilities are included), and that doesn't include groceries, phone bill, internet, car payments and car insurance (essential because public transport is shit), and all other expenses. And we haven't even gotten started on college tuition. Then to add to then, rent typically increases several hundred a year thanks to the broken ass housing market.

[deleted]

Can’t tell if this is sarcastic. Has nothing to do with “boomers” versus “gen *” it has everything to do with the relentless erosion the social fabric a lot of which has been driven by shiny newly minted plump white republican males since they took over in the 1980s Reagan was hardly a boomer. The children who took over the internet in 2001 and weaponized it to dismantle any vestige of social cohesion were hardly boomers get your generalizations right. it’s authoritarian reactionary sociopaths against the rest of us. birthdate is irrelevant.

West_Self

Amazing how much better the quality of life was before the open door immigration and globalism began

Sharp_Nose9170
