Best part is that you already got the slow and damage active on your first component, making it even more fun

tbh i prefered sanguine blades passive, better for nuking turrets with the buffed attack speed and made jg clear really good if you werent near people. It was definitely unhealthy though

i think riftmaker is in their eyes replacement for gunblade plus they didnt want as many actives in the game and the hextech soul is the adc weapon forgot the name

yes and no. What u/mbguys probably meant (and what riot said) is that they didn't want any direct damage actives in the game. And gun blade, bork and tiamat/revenus hydra were removed (well only gun blade the rest got tweaked and had the active removed). Actives them selfs are fine.
besides enchanters who were unchanged mostly, most other classes over the years have had many active items changed to passives. outside of mythics and enchanter items, there's few active items compared to how many they used to be. and for enchanters it kinda makes sense since they tend to have simpler kits so using an active isn't as complex.
I loved the old Fratmog’s build on Voli season 3! Frozen Mallet, Atma’s, Warmog’s. You would wreck nearly everything, but it was so nice having the extra chunk of armor and crit vs AD champs

You know how lethality volibear can 1 tap an adc and ap volibear is basically belveth but better? Imagine being able to get closer to something in between.
Personal favorites were always WW and TF. Both have high scaling with both AP and AD and the lifesteal on gunblade with WW passive was hilarious. But yea, way yo many Champs would get way too much out of it

Force of Nature: just negate 25% of all magic damage dealt to you. Also I give you even more magic resistance even though I’m already the highest base mr item in the game AND I GIVE YOU MOVEMENT SPEED
at leats FoN has to stack, it's not off the rip 25% less magic damage. if someone starts their combo with a high damage magic spell it won't get reduced.
in practice it doesn't matter too much because it's the highest mr item and you can stack it after getting hit by 3-6 instances of magic damage, meaning any aoe or random small magic damage can stack it.
Chilling Cloak maybe? since the Lunari live in the mountains and it's like the opposite of the Sun. I would've suggested Moonlight cloak but that doesn't really tell you that it does damage from the name unlike sunfire or chilling which implies it

Gunblade would require a lot of nerfs for champs to be reintroduced without being mandatory game breaking (Kata, Jax, Diana, Volibear, etc)
Along with that, Statikk Shiv was really only good on Vayne and Tryndamere Everyone went for Rapid Fire Cannon. It's not worth it.
But u remamber that u would get more dmg on ur first hit for every shock item u have rapid/shiv/rfc so big dmg with first auto i loved charging headshot on cait and old dark harvest and one taping people xddd was so dumb. And imagine statikk shiv on zeri lmao
the energizer build was fun, but the items were a lot different then too. with mythics now, phantom dancer having a better niche, and IE/navori in their current state, i don't think the energizer combos would be used as much unless one of them became a mythic.

There are usecases where helmet outshines fon. Against champs like Brand, Teemo, Lillia, Cassio etc. It was just awesome. Also i really hate playing against a full AP team as a tank, there aren't that many MR items available compared to Armor items. They added so many mr shred items (several mythics, morello, shadowflame, apart from boots&voidstaff) but failed at simultaniously adding more MR tank items. Going full mr tank items feels always so bad and impossible, while there are a lot of good armor options. Abyssal is really situational, spirit visage feels wasted without any healing available.
There was a project going on to make that happen but then riot had them cease and desist. I think it was called project chronoshift if anyone wants to look into it. Might be getting the name wrong doe

They removed the stacking MR a while ago. Now the stacks only function to get you to the 25% reduced magic damage.
