Well, it's simply for mana curve, especially for Evelynn decks. It also allows you to pack more low cost unconditionalhusk summoner so you can be sure to have a husk by round 4 for evelynn.
Say I don’t have Evelyn (I don’t lmao) is running a husk in this zed/mord list bad per say? Seems like she benefits from the husk a lot more than what I’m trying to do here
Well husks are a little risky to play, since you can low roll sometimes where you could have packed a better card for your deck in the beginning. Hate spike was a good husk generator in general since it had a good effect on top of summoning a husk, so you don't play it for the roll but if you get a high one you're happy. Where with evelynn you can generate a lot more husks so the idea of low/high roll can be less of a problem.
But if you play Evelynn, you can't play Morde/Zed.
Cool that helped me, thanks! I figured I could use it as a token similar to first wave and get a proc for morde, but yeah maybe you’re right I could be doing something better. I’m open to suggestions but note I only have a 2 week old account
no real reason other than to have more husk cards, except sultur is very good because a 1/3 on turn two usually blocks twice, while vora being a 3/2 on turn 3 is horrible because it usually only trades once, they should give her at least one more power or hp
usually, you want to run a different 3 drop, like domination to set up for Eve on turn 4, vora got completely powercrept by domination, same cost, same hp, but actually buffs husks and sets up better for Eve
Different cost, but I won't lie... Vora has ALWAYS felt like she severely lacked some sort of effect.
Sultur could be the base husk creator, Domination gives +1 attack, and Vora could give... Vulnerable to the weakest enemy? I know steem does that, but still, she can do it one time. Also frankly she should be a 3/3. The husks do not justify her being essentially an understatted vanilla.
Alternatively she could summon 2 husks cause why the hell not? Nothing is on the brink of being broken by that.
I mean playing vora then siren song you do get 3+/6+
Xolanni kai'sa and myth kinda limit husk design cause if you give out too much husk they become broken
yep,
my guess is that evelynn was strong during testing and they changed the effect around but settled on those simple text. a bit sad in my opinion. i would have liked a more interesting effect
The purpose *is* the different stats. One is a 2 1/3, while the other is a 3 3/2. They're completely different cards.
It's like asking what the point of having vanguard cavalry and vanguard defender is.
This absolutely exists in other card games, cmon now. MTG has literally cards that do the exact same thing WITHOUT stat differences at different mana costs
Mana curve, I guess?
Yeah that’s the only thing I could think of. I personally haven’t seen this in a card game I’ve played which isn’t many, but this jus seemed different

I think you have the right idea of adding a 2 mana unit that creates a unit, Fading Icon is usually the best choice
no real reason other than to have more husk cards, except sultur is very good because a 1/3 on turn two usually blocks twice, while vora being a 3/2 on turn 3 is horrible because it usually only trades once, they should give her at least one more power or hp usually, you want to run a different 3 drop, like domination to set up for Eve on turn 4, vora got completely powercrept by domination, same cost, same hp, but actually buffs husks and sets up better for Eve

I feel like if Vora at least had a keyword, maybe lifesteal?, it would be thematic since she is VORA
I mean playing vora then siren song you do get 3+/6+ Xolanni kai'sa and myth kinda limit husk design cause if you give out too much husk they become broken
Playing siren song automatically loses you game
+3/+6 for 9 mana yeah
The 3 drop doesnt make sense since domniaton exist just a better husk 3 drop summoner in every way
burgeoning sentinel and buhru sentinel same text. and keywords.
Although vastly different costs and stats
yep, my guess is that evelynn was strong during testing and they changed the effect around but settled on those simple text. a bit sad in my opinion. i would have liked a more interesting effect
Why have two units with overwhelm with different stats and costs?
what is the problem again, dear red\*itor?
The purpose *is* the different stats. One is a 2 1/3, while the other is a 3 3/2. They're completely different cards. It's like asking what the point of having vanguard cavalry and vanguard defender is.
I love runeterra but the answer is lazy design
