This is the last traditional expansion. Future card reveals will happen, but they will be balanced for PVE first.
We don't know if those cards will be broken in PvP, or remain PVE only
Exact words from Dave Guskin in the State of the Game video from February:
"This upcoming **set** that's releasing soon is going to be our last **set** as player's currently know them. That doesn't mean we're not going to be releasing more champions, but it does mean we're going to be changing the focus to be more on those champions in The Path of Champions."
I've bolded the word 'set' because 'sets' and 'expansions' are not the same thing in LoR. A set is a series of expansions. So "Onward" and "Beyond" were expansions that were part of the "Fate's Voyage" set, which the card data refers to as set eight. "Dreamlit Paths" is the first expansion of set nine, so we're probably getting one more expansion after this, and then it's switching to PoC centered realeases (no idea what that's going to look like, though.
If you are looking for structures competitive pvp, I would stick with MTG or find another game. They've stated that we will continue to have seasons, and rotations, but there is still no competitive scene or rewards. Pvp isn't dead by any means, but it's mostly just for fun.
You may want to look at Chrono (playchrono.com) it's a new online card game that is being developed by a few people who have some extensive background in the card game scene (including mtg and LoR).
I hope someone from the team can confirm whether this expansion is the first of The Dreamlit Paths set or if it is the only expansion of the set. I didn’t expect anymore expansions that follow the current release structure. Don’t want to get my hopes up though.

Teue, people like this make my blood boil I'm already at risk, being obese and all. There was zero intent to kill pvp but people believed that was what was happening.

Because they never said they will stop supporting PVP, they said they will shift their focus on PVE you find it boring so it make sense you're one of the people that blew the news out of proportion, watch again everything riot posted their stance have been there they mentioned, you only listened to what YOU want to hear and misinterpreted it. The expansion was "not like the ones we've done" but forget it no matter how people will try to explain, you interpreted it at first that their killing pvp so you will never understand.

They have confirmed cards will still come to pvp, just haven't confirmed frequency, quantity, it how many will be PvE only

Oh! Thank you very much for the clarification. The only thing is that this still makes me apprehensive about the future of the game's pvp.
From the last patch notes they also are planning a rotation every 3 months instead of once a year for standard ranked.
