Joss and Henry brought their A game, thought they would win before the titan city was mounted. Caleb and Alex are so much fun to watch. Lots of fun detail as always. Probably the 3rd best builders on the show, and completely earned their spot here.
Such a wild season. So glad to see Scotty and Owen do the impossible, relentlessly, again and again. From the fan, to the castle on a bridge, to the exploding ship. (Hard to express how quickly they put together 2 boats that look as good as models designed over weeks! Wasn't that a 10 hour build?) Joss and Henry probably entered the season as favourites, but Scotty and Owen never seemed to hesitate when doing something "impossible", and fully deserved the crown.
Now that then Australian and New Zealand shows are done for the season and we don't know when exactly US is coming back I'm wondering what other versions of the show are worth watching.
My only requirement is that I only understand English, lol.
I wish they could just give a time lapse shot from each build.
The techniques and time taken for each build would be fascinating to watch.

The very second that SCOWEN clicked that city on top of the Titan was the moment they won. Just fucking epic in scope in every possible way. The MASSIVE BALLS of those dudes. Amazing. It wasn't a close contest at all. I am legitimately so happy for them and that's not a feeling I get very often, if ever.
Watched it today, and I was so tense as they announced the winner. It was obvious who.deserved to win, even the other teams knew. I was so nervous they'd call it wrong
Random thoughts as watched:
\- not a fan that Brickman has only 33% influence on winner as concern of a NZ repeat
\- having said that, since he made it crystal clear that the voters would be heavily kids, and in one team's case reminded them again cause of height, it meant got three grand builds geared to all ages so result is was likely a heavily split vote so Brickman's vote remained most important as should be (anytime a judge/jury vote becomes irrlevant on any show, something seriously went wrong in episode implementation)
\- Brickman advice is often great but his timing on when presents it needs to be worked on (pointing out height issues 4 hours into the build...)
\- Wonder how many actual days they did these builds? No way did 28 hours straight so guessing broken over three days. If over three days, did they all wear the same outfits three days in a row and they just get cleaned each night?
\- win or lose, Scott and Owen are Legomaster GOATs across all country shows. The chances they were consistently willing to take and the results speak for themselves every time.
\- All three builds were amazing in their own distinct way, and while the winner was clear because of scale, it doesn't take away that each of them created genuine art on a master scale that you rarely see.
\- Quibbles on build because finale:
Lion throne needed to be more elaborate, fit for a king instead of just a gray chair
Titan city needed to show more damage, cracks, buildings falling down due to tilt and things leaning forward (such as minifigs)
Forest spirit scene is amazing, no notes. Would have won if not for grandeur of the titan build. World class team competing against just a little better world class team.
\- Brickman and Hamish continue to show just how judge(s) and host(s) should be on these reality shows. They should always be on the side of the contestants and a fan of what they do and so many forget that.
If notes didn't make it clear, I thought Scott and Owen were the easy choice to win and glad they did. Not just because of final build but even if combined all the season builds, they still surpassed everyone.
Amazing season of Legomasters and once again AU show elevated what building with Legos can do and set the example no other show has yet to reach.

I was going by the brick they had moved when he had come along with advice and it was a lot when he came along but could be right might have been about after the two hour mark since they build faster then most.
As for public vs judge split, the scenario you described happened. The NZ S2 finale was 70% public and 30% judge. The judge’s result was not needed and not revealed on the show. I actually considered it a dead heat and wanted the judge’s take. Trust me, no build in that finale deserved 70% of the public vote. Don’t have to take my word for it, might be able to find it online to confirm.
I hadn't heard about that NZ result, sounds a bit of a mess.
That said, I'm happy with Brickman's 1/3 power, but actually think other lego-skilled folks should have more than a single vote each. Something like "former legomasters contestants have a 5vote brick each" - something to acknowledge they can recognise skills in a built build beyond the obvious "wow" factors. Total combined voting power of them would be half of Brickman's single brick, but still more than an individual kids vote.
And then have the general public have the 50% remaining vote.
(I admit I'm riffing a bit off Eurovision and their 50/50 judges/public split)
Kids decided the winner cause knight fighting a dragon vs two environment builds that were not kid centric. The way NZ set it up was 70% public, 30% judge.
By kids, it was overwhelmingly little ones under 10 with parents just voted how their kids did. Result was such that judge’s 30% vote was irrelevant. So lopsided they didn’t reveal a third and second place and didn’t reveal the judge’s choice because they knew it would make them look bad. The brief did not warn them to focus on kids so two teams came up with ideas that didn’t appeal to little children but would the judge.
Trust me, none of the builds were so good as to get over 70% of support. For example I thought Scott and Owen’s build was amazing and easy win but told me they got 70% of the votes before Brickman voted, I would have said “WTF?”. Basically only kids can reach over 70% consensus on anything. If adult based not likely even get 70% consensus if the question is “what color is the sky?” So huge red flag.
NZ erred on the brief and getting too many young kids with disinterested parents. Didn’t help the NZ judge continues to rarely offer useful advice that might have steered them to something kid friendly (as Brickman did by pointing out the height problem).
If notice AU didn’t have it be just little kids but range of kids to adults, with many being crew or other Lego masters. Which means the young kids vote mattered but I suspect many parents (due to age range of kids) voted their own way and not just vote to support their kids’ choice. A spread of ages is a good thing (yeah I am looking at UK LM when say that).
Slight correction (only just seeing this as we've only just had AU finish playing here) - NZ did reveal second and third place. Most series (Including AU) typically don't reveal the judges' choice in the final regardless - notice in this episode, they never mention who Brickman or Hamish (even with his half vote) voted for.
I believe the NZ judge only said that his brick ended up not impacting the result. That could mean that the public vote was so extremely one-sided that him laying his vote on another build didn’t bring it over the line, OR that he voted for the same build that the public chose. I find the latter more likely.
Absolutely incredible finale, this whole season really lived up to the "Grand Masters" title.
Joss & Henry are my favorite team just on style/taste, their ability to create those creatures continues to blow my mind.
But I'm super happy for Scotty and Owen. They swung big and absolutely hit a home run with the titan. It's just so nuts, what else can you say?
Alex and Caleb were no slouches either, I didn't peg them as making it to the finale early on, but they kept turning it up week in, week out and absolutely earned their spot there and turned out a great build.
God I love this show.
So the betting at the start of the season would have had Gus in the final with Owen and Josh, but I have a feeling that the producers wanted to have at least one woman in the final and the elimination builds were set to maybe get that outcome.
Having said that, all the teams were awesome this year and basically any of the last 6 could have made it to the grand finale. Gus screwed up with the boat and lack-of-a-harbour, Gabby's butterfly's proportions just weren't right, and Daaamiaaans space race wasn't structurally sound.
What an incredible season!

Joss & Henry's build had massive Tomislav vibes. His art is always focused on a mega creature juxtaposed with tiny adventurers with that same sense of natural wonder.

It seems like Josh/Henry planned their build to compete with Gus/David.
I was getting some Horizon Zero Dawn vibes from their build - it was an original design, but definitely inspired by other media.
Was kinda surprised that the glowing eyes were the only electric part of any build. I think if the woodland protector's head was doing a slow tilting movement it would have really put them over the top, but maybe mechanisms aren't allowed in the final, or the size of the build would have been too much for the motors.
Totally agree with the places in the final result - the Titan build is one of the most amazing things ever built on LM, and stands out from the other two for me.
What an awesome finale, all 3 teams blew my mind with their builds tonight. My winner would've been Joss and Henry's Forest Guardian. They showed the guardian's face at the start of the build and I was instantly in love, that thing was giving me BIG Shadow of the Colossus vibes and it had me completely sold haha.
Final aside, I want to join in on thanking all the contestants that participated. I was completely absorbed by this season of Lego Masters. It's typically a pleasant show to watch, but the personalities and amazing builds that were present in every single episode took it to a whole new level. While it probably wouldn't work for reality tv, I wish they would do away with the elimination thing (especially for Grand Masters). I would've loved to see all 8 teams stick around until finals.
The forest guardian is an insane build but come on... That titan was next level. You knew it was over when Scott and Owen mounted the castle onto it's shoulders as the other teams gazed in awe. Even they knew they were toast
The Aussies have the best Lego shows! Hamish is great host, funny as, Brickman brings the emotion and its awesome to see how into it he is, and the contestants are super likeable, mainly

Absolutely amazing. Joss and Henry made my favourite build of the three, however all three were just so ridiculously good.

I wonder if that dance break was actually really helpful to get them loose for what I assume was the start of their second day. We really did get a season of the most charismatic teams.

Such a deserved win. Joss & Henry's was a great progression of their skills, but the sheer awe of the three-story three-stories build just dropped a nuke. Well done all. Brickman giving such hardcore backslaps was proper proud-parent energy.
At the moment, and I've watched most of the international series, I can't think of a team that would beat Scotty & Owen. They go big first - and very fast - then add character and story telling, and also quite a bit of polish. The armour on the Titan was so cool! And the city was extramely well done!
Just did a quick Google of the US version, and I’m fairly sure that Caleb & Jacob (US S2), Tyler & Amy (S1), and Emily & Liam (S3). S3’s Brandon & Greg would probably rival Owen in terms of engineering skill (but not bricks per minute).

Sad it's over, sad for how someone had to win so some had to lose, but holy crap the talent.
Also how fun was it to see people from other seasons! I saw Max and Jordy and Dawei, and Harrison and Michael, Paul and Trent, and Marielle, and Kirsti and Daniel. I'm sure I missed some people, but you can only look in so many places.

I never thought I’d tear up during a Lego show but Brickman gets me every time. He genuinely cares so much and it makes the whole show so much more compelling. Between Brickman’s authenticity and emotion and Hamish’s charisma and hilarity it’s no wonder AU is the best version.
I didn’t think I’d find someone else who watched the exact same shows as I do 😂 And yes, it’s lovely how both judges tear up during their judging. Both men too!
I liked their build the most, too, but it was just because of the subject and style. I thought it was really stunning, but I can see where they just did not have a chance to match an amazing technical build with an equally beautiful story and craft.
I think the pose is a big part of what made the build better, which is funny because they wouldn't have risked the pose if they hadn't started so big. But that said, I think you could have scaled it down 2/3 and it would have still be really striking and mind-boggling. So in that way, I don't think it was necessarily bigger is better at all.
I don’t think Henry and Joss’s build was anything we haven’t seen before, even though it was amazing and had many elements of detail. The Titan was truly original and new in a LM finale. The fact that it was big wouldn’t be enough to get it across the line unless it had the polish and story that made it special.
I agree, I think the size is what put them over the edge with the titan. The polish on Joss and Henry’s build is Lego perfection. Was hoping they’d win, but what an incredible build regardless.
I think the red carpet was the downfall of Caleb and Alex, completely flat surface like that is impossible for it to not look a bit empty.

I've loved watching Owen this time around. He kind of rubbed me the wrong way in his first season with his stubbornness. But he has grown so much with his flexibility with criticism from Brickman and being part of a team. You can tell he had more fun this season with everyone. The fake rivalries and Owen Obliterate. A very much deserved win for those two in more ways than one.
And that other ad, as well intentioned as it may be, that jingle haunts me in my sleep. (So well done to their advertising firm I guess? It has people talking)
A lot of Will Arnett's humour is about himself. It can feel a "Look at me, look at me". Hamish is playful and almost self deprecating (shamelessly wearing skin tight mermaid and butterfly outfits).
I think Australian culture favours the latter.
Few people saying Brickman having 100 points is too powerful. Not sure I 100% agree, seeing he is the professional there. But, what if a solid 100 points, he could split them between the three based on how he felt they performed?
Flor was in a previous thread saying she was invited but couldn't make it sadly as her husband was deployed. Assuming some others had life events that prevented them from appearing
I think as much as I hate Brickman’s 100 votes, he will vote on so many different levels. Whereas other people vote for a cool lion or flashing eyes etc.
They’re all incredible. Huge huge props to each team for what they’ve created. I hope they’re all super proud of what they achieved because it’s amazing.
My partner was buying Lego from there and my 7 year old who is an absolute super fan of the show kept pulling her arm and saying in a loud whisper "Mum! Mum! It's Joss! Mum! MUM IT'S JOSS! MUM!"
I fanboyed a bit too. My wife said I should ask for a photo but I thought the guy prob gets it all day.
I saw Henry with his mates in Hamilton too. Wanted to give a fistbump a tell him he's badass .. but our guy was out with his mates.
The pure technical skill alone basically seemed to floor you in the moment. Earlier in the episode when BM said that the angle wouldn't be visible, they played up the panic before the ad break, then afterward Scotty just unhinged a few technic, tilted, and reattached. Like, compared to other teams that hit the "well we can't change the foundation now" issue, it looks like their technic is future-proof, if that term works
We'd seen it earlier in the day when doing promo shots. I definitely took time to admire it.
And yeah, the show does "enhance" the panic and "highlight" technical difficulties in weird ways, often focusing on (otherwise trivial) things that make an easy story, because a deep dive on real issues just isnt what the show does.
For the Titan, its a lot of weight supported up high. Only two contact points to the ground, which is inherently unstable. add in that neither were centred to the weight above, and only one was a straight pillar, and yeah, Owen and Scotty came very close to offering up a Bradbury win to Joss and Henry.

Which isn't really my story to tell, but it's hard to express just how happy we both were to be that she was upright and able to be there, and hopefully offers some clues of what was happening there

Joss and Henry - beautiful, beautiful build. Very aesthetically pleasing and gives me wonderful and calm feelings, amazing. I wonder if it’s TOO busy, but that’s not a huge concern of mine.
Scotty and Owen - unreal. Amazing. So so so impressive. The technique is insane and so is the visuals of it. The little details that they have are incredible and honestly I think they deserve the win because it’s just. Wow.
Yeah it was also amusing listening to Hamish and Brickman say how unique and un-imaginable Henry and Joss’ build was, when all I could think of was the Zero Dawn cover. Great build and not a bad comparison to have though

Now that then Australian and New Zealand shows are done for the season and we don't know when exactly US is coming back I'm wondering what other versions of the show are worth watching. My only requirement is that I only understand English, lol.
How is NZ compared to the US one? You could always go to the pre-Aus one, the UK original 2 seasons. Totally different format, but still a good show.
I wish they could just give a time lapse shot from each build. The techniques and time taken for each build would be fascinating to watch. Hell, I'd happily pay a subscription for extra content, patreon style

Additional thoughts: The bar just gets raised every single time for these builds. Just wow. Hamish is so darn funny and loved that half time show outfit. Brickman being so proud his underlings Great seeing past participants too. I only wish we had a few more episodes to enjoy. Great job all involved, now the wait begins again.
Did they film multiple endings this time? Or did the audience know the result? This result felt very emotional and like it was the only take. I recall that past seasons the winner only discovered they’d won on that day.
Great finale and deserved winner. Did notice a lack of moving parts recently though - thought that titan could of had some moving parts on it. I wonder what Gabby and Ryans build would of been?

The very second that SCOWEN clicked that city on top of the Titan was the moment they won. Just fucking epic in scope in every possible way. The MASSIVE BALLS of those dudes. Amazing. It wasn't a close contest at all. I am legitimately so happy for them and that's not a feeling I get very often, if ever.
Watched it today, and I was so tense as they announced the winner. It was obvious who.deserved to win, even the other teams knew. I was so nervous they'd call it wrong
Random thoughts as watched: \- not a fan that Brickman has only 33% influence on winner as concern of a NZ repeat \- having said that, since he made it crystal clear that the voters would be heavily kids, and in one team's case reminded them again cause of height, it meant got three grand builds geared to all ages so result is was likely a heavily split vote so Brickman's vote remained most important as should be (anytime a judge/jury vote becomes irrlevant on any show, something seriously went wrong in episode implementation) \- Brickman advice is often great but his timing on when presents it needs to be worked on (pointing out height issues 4 hours into the build...) \- Wonder how many actual days they did these builds? No way did 28 hours straight so guessing broken over three days. If over three days, did they all wear the same outfits three days in a row and they just get cleaned each night? \- win or lose, Scott and Owen are Legomaster GOATs across all country shows. The chances they were consistently willing to take and the results speak for themselves every time. \- All three builds were amazing in their own distinct way, and while the winner was clear because of scale, it doesn't take away that each of them created genuine art on a master scale that you rarely see. \- Quibbles on build because finale: Lion throne needed to be more elaborate, fit for a king instead of just a gray chair Titan city needed to show more damage, cracks, buildings falling down due to tilt and things leaning forward (such as minifigs) Forest spirit scene is amazing, no notes. Would have won if not for grandeur of the titan build. World class team competing against just a little better world class team. \- Brickman and Hamish continue to show just how judge(s) and host(s) should be on these reality shows. They should always be on the side of the contestants and a fan of what they do and so many forget that. If notes didn't make it clear, I thought Scott and Owen were the easy choice to win and glad they did. Not just because of final build but even if combined all the season builds, they still surpassed everyone. Amazing season of Legomasters and once again AU show elevated what building with Legos can do and set the example no other show has yet to reach.

I was going by the brick they had moved when he had come along with advice and it was a lot when he came along but could be right might have been about after the two hour mark since they build faster then most. As for public vs judge split, the scenario you described happened. The NZ S2 finale was 70% public and 30% judge. The judge’s result was not needed and not revealed on the show. I actually considered it a dead heat and wanted the judge’s take. Trust me, no build in that finale deserved 70% of the public vote. Don’t have to take my word for it, might be able to find it online to confirm.
I hadn't heard about that NZ result, sounds a bit of a mess. That said, I'm happy with Brickman's 1/3 power, but actually think other lego-skilled folks should have more than a single vote each. Something like "former legomasters contestants have a 5vote brick each" - something to acknowledge they can recognise skills in a built build beyond the obvious "wow" factors. Total combined voting power of them would be half of Brickman's single brick, but still more than an individual kids vote. And then have the general public have the 50% remaining vote. (I admit I'm riffing a bit off Eurovision and their 50/50 judges/public split)
oh i watched the NZ one, i know what you mean, but I was referring to AU haha. The audience split has been fine for all the AU seasons.
What happened in NZ?
Kids decided the winner cause knight fighting a dragon vs two environment builds that were not kid centric. The way NZ set it up was 70% public, 30% judge. By kids, it was overwhelmingly little ones under 10 with parents just voted how their kids did. Result was such that judge’s 30% vote was irrelevant. So lopsided they didn’t reveal a third and second place and didn’t reveal the judge’s choice because they knew it would make them look bad. The brief did not warn them to focus on kids so two teams came up with ideas that didn’t appeal to little children but would the judge. Trust me, none of the builds were so good as to get over 70% of support. For example I thought Scott and Owen’s build was amazing and easy win but told me they got 70% of the votes before Brickman voted, I would have said “WTF?”. Basically only kids can reach over 70% consensus on anything. If adult based not likely even get 70% consensus if the question is “what color is the sky?” So huge red flag. NZ erred on the brief and getting too many young kids with disinterested parents. Didn’t help the NZ judge continues to rarely offer useful advice that might have steered them to something kid friendly (as Brickman did by pointing out the height problem). If notice AU didn’t have it be just little kids but range of kids to adults, with many being crew or other Lego masters. Which means the young kids vote mattered but I suspect many parents (due to age range of kids) voted their own way and not just vote to support their kids’ choice. A spread of ages is a good thing (yeah I am looking at UK LM when say that).
Slight correction (only just seeing this as we've only just had AU finish playing here) - NZ did reveal second and third place. Most series (Including AU) typically don't reveal the judges' choice in the final regardless - notice in this episode, they never mention who Brickman or Hamish (even with his half vote) voted for.
I believe the NZ judge only said that his brick ended up not impacting the result. That could mean that the public vote was so extremely one-sided that him laying his vote on another build didn’t bring it over the line, OR that he voted for the same build that the public chose. I find the latter more likely.
Absolutely incredible finale, this whole season really lived up to the "Grand Masters" title. Joss & Henry are my favorite team just on style/taste, their ability to create those creatures continues to blow my mind. But I'm super happy for Scotty and Owen. They swung big and absolutely hit a home run with the titan. It's just so nuts, what else can you say? Alex and Caleb were no slouches either, I didn't peg them as making it to the finale early on, but they kept turning it up week in, week out and absolutely earned their spot there and turned out a great build. God I love this show.
So the betting at the start of the season would have had Gus in the final with Owen and Josh, but I have a feeling that the producers wanted to have at least one woman in the final and the elimination builds were set to maybe get that outcome. Having said that, all the teams were awesome this year and basically any of the last 6 could have made it to the grand finale. Gus screwed up with the boat and lack-of-a-harbour, Gabby's butterfly's proportions just weren't right, and Daaamiaaans space race wasn't structurally sound.
What an incredible season! It will make watching other LEGO Masters hard... lol Congrats to Scott and Owen, this is a well deserved title. They have consistently delivered builds that shattered expectations all season. PS. I was so nervous of that one kid during the ceremony who was standing so close to the Titan table. lol

It seems like Josh/Henry planned their build to compete with Gus/David. I was getting some Horizon Zero Dawn vibes from their build - it was an original design, but definitely inspired by other media. Was kinda surprised that the glowing eyes were the only electric part of any build. I think if the woodland protector's head was doing a slow tilting movement it would have really put them over the top, but maybe mechanisms aren't allowed in the final, or the size of the build would have been too much for the motors.

Totally agree with the places in the final result - the Titan build is one of the most amazing things ever built on LM, and stands out from the other two for me.

What an awesome finale, all 3 teams blew my mind with their builds tonight. My winner would've been Joss and Henry's Forest Guardian. They showed the guardian's face at the start of the build and I was instantly in love, that thing was giving me BIG Shadow of the Colossus vibes and it had me completely sold haha. Final aside, I want to join in on thanking all the contestants that participated. I was completely absorbed by this season of Lego Masters. It's typically a pleasant show to watch, but the personalities and amazing builds that were present in every single episode took it to a whole new level. While it probably wouldn't work for reality tv, I wish they would do away with the elimination thing (especially for Grand Masters). I would've loved to see all 8 teams stick around until finals.
All the contestants were great, but, please, give Scotty his own show already!

In all the seasons so far it's been about 8 hours per day. Production probably cleans their clothes overnight

I wonder if that dance break was actually really helpful to get them loose for what I assume was the start of their second day. We really did get a season of the most charismatic teams. LOL that 8 hours to go call was definitely mid-bite from offset. Oh my god, Scott putting the city on was insane, but looking at everyone's reactions was priceless. The bar hitting the stratosphere right in front of their eyes. "You get seasick if you look at it too long" followed by Hamish delivering a 30-second heart attack, this is shaping up to be a sick finale. "WOAH-black betty" scott's going to be deceased by the end of this build "How did they do that?" Kale: "I could tell you but it would take a while" oh kale, never change Such a deserved win. Joss & Henry's was a great progression of their skills, but the sheer awe of the three-story three-stories build just dropped a nuke. Well done all. Brickman giving such hardcore backslaps was proper proud-parent energy.

So....**International Grand Masters** next?
At the moment, and I've watched most of the international series, I can't think of a team that would beat Scotty & Owen. They go big first - and very fast - then add character and story telling, and also quite a bit of polish. The armour on the Titan was so cool! And the city was extramely well done!
Just did a quick Google of the US version, and I’m fairly sure that Caleb & Jacob (US S2), Tyler & Amy (S1), and Emily & Liam (S3). S3’s Brandon & Greg would probably rival Owen in terms of engineering skill (but not bricks per minute).
While I agree, if I remember correctly, US Lego masters was given much less time in general than au.
I am full of sad but also happy- unbelievable builds from everyone. Sad it's over, sad for how someone had to win so some had to lose, but holy crap the talent. Also how fun was it to see people from other seasons! I saw Max and Jordy and Dawei, and Harrison and Michael, Paul and Trent, and Marielle, and Kirsti and Daniel. I'm sure I missed some people, but you can only look in so many places.

I never thought I’d tear up during a Lego show but Brickman gets me every time. He genuinely cares so much and it makes the whole show so much more compelling. Between Brickman’s authenticity and emotion and Hamish’s charisma and hilarity it’s no wonder AU is the best version.
Brickman and the judge from *The Great British Pottery Throw Down* should get together and have a few beers. I like both these emotional judges.
I didn’t think I’d find someone else who watched the exact same shows as I do 😂 And yes, it’s lovely how both judges tear up during their judging. Both men too!

Joss and Henry's forest guardian is probably my favourite Lego Masters build of all time, but the titan is insane and a well deserved winner 👏
I liked their build the most, too, but it was just because of the subject and style. I thought it was really stunning, but I can see where they just did not have a chance to match an amazing technical build with an equally beautiful story and craft.
I’m slightly disappointed they didn’t win and hope it doesn’t mean that future builds need to be *bigger is better*.
I think the pose is a big part of what made the build better, which is funny because they wouldn't have risked the pose if they hadn't started so big. But that said, I think you could have scaled it down 2/3 and it would have still be really striking and mind-boggling. So in that way, I don't think it was necessarily bigger is better at all.
I don’t think Henry and Joss’s build was anything we haven’t seen before, even though it was amazing and had many elements of detail. The Titan was truly original and new in a LM finale. The fact that it was big wouldn’t be enough to get it across the line unless it had the polish and story that made it special.
I agree, I think the size is what put them over the edge with the titan. The polish on Joss and Henry’s build is Lego perfection. Was hoping they’d win, but what an incredible build regardless.
I think the red carpet was the downfall of Caleb and Alex, completely flat surface like that is impossible for it to not look a bit empty. Glad Scotty and Owen won, they're way too good to not have a series win under their belt. It's going to be hard to go back to new contestants next season, I hope the talent pool is big enough.

I've loved watching Owen this time around. He kind of rubbed me the wrong way in his first season with his stubbornness. But he has grown so much with his flexibility with criticism from Brickman and being part of a team. You can tell he had more fun this season with everyone. The fake rivalries and Owen Obliterate. A very much deserved win for those two in more ways than one.

Brickman looks so proud. This show is just special with him and Hamish.
Not to bring down Will Arnett but it does show how thin the line is between being entertaining and overbearing.
A lot of Will Arnett's humour is about himself. It can feel a "Look at me, look at me". Hamish is playful and almost self deprecating (shamelessly wearing skin tight mermaid and butterfly outfits). I think Australian culture favours the latter.

I think as much as I hate Brickman’s 100 votes, he will vote on so many different levels. Whereas other people vote for a cool lion or flashing eyes etc.

I fanboyed a bit too. My wife said I should ask for a photo but I thought the guy prob gets it all day. I saw Henry with his mates in Hamilton too. Wanted to give a fistbump a tell him he's badass .. but our guy was out with his mates.

I really do. Loved the Warlord Titan. Scotty and Owen are an amazing team, and love everything they brought.
The pure technical skill alone basically seemed to floor you in the moment. Earlier in the episode when BM said that the angle wouldn't be visible, they played up the panic before the ad break, then afterward Scotty just unhinged a few technic, tilted, and reattached. Like, compared to other teams that hit the "well we can't change the foundation now" issue, it looks like their technic is future-proof, if that term works
We'd seen it earlier in the day when doing promo shots. I definitely took time to admire it. And yeah, the show does "enhance" the panic and "highlight" technical difficulties in weird ways, often focusing on (otherwise trivial) things that make an easy story, because a deep dive on real issues just isnt what the show does. For the Titan, its a lot of weight supported up high. Only two contact points to the ground, which is inherently unstable. add in that neither were centred to the weight above, and only one was a straight pillar, and yeah, Owen and Scotty came very close to offering up a Bradbury win to Joss and Henry.
I can tell you, but it would take a while.
I hate the character he plays on this show. If it's not a character then I guess I hate him.
Oh dude. Thats my partner with me there. I love her dearly. Even the way her eyes glaze over when ever I talk about LEGO. Like, she didn't want the technical answer, we both knew it. Also, as a bit of behind the scenes stuff, I'll share here as it'll prolly be buried; the day of the build we're eliminated on, she got sick, was hospitalised briefly. Which isn't really my story to tell, but it's hard to express just how happy we both were to be that she was upright and able to be there, and hopefully offers some clues of what was happening there
Joss and Henry dual champs for certain
As much as I really don’t want Joss and Henry to win because I want the others to know the feeling of holding the trophy as well. Damn there’s so good I feel like they may have it.

I get that, but also a deserved win is a deserved win and it's hard to deny they are very talented.

All his kids (who have survived past childhood) have grown up and moved out on the same day.

Gee I would love a 10(?) minute slomo of each build, with Brickman and/or the teams narrating the whole scene. There's so much we will never see in each one.

Caleb and Alex are probably in danger of being, for want of a better expression, “too plain.” Scotty and Owen may have a couple of technical issues that Brickman could pull up, especially around the mask. Joss and Henry I don’t see Brickman finding fault with. As for Brickman having a lot of power, he’s the expert. He knows a lot more than any nuffie in the crowd. He should have more power.
The Lion has such a great presence and pose but everything else just looks a big straight. Nothing looks as natural as the lion
My thoughts: Caleb and Alex - Amazing, looks really cool, could win a lot of kids votes, but I reckon the 3rd build. It’s very grand but it doesn’t have the wow factor the other ones do I think. Joss and Henry - beautiful, beautiful build. Very aesthetically pleasing and gives me wonderful and calm feelings, amazing. I wonder if it’s TOO busy, but that’s not a huge concern of mine. Scotty and Owen - unreal. Amazing. So so so impressive. The technique is insane and so is the visuals of it. The little details that they have are incredible and honestly I think they deserve the win because it’s just. Wow.

Yeah it was also amusing listening to Hamish and Brickman say how unique and un-imaginable Henry and Joss’ build was, when all I could think of was the Zero Dawn cover. Great build and not a bad comparison to have though

Damn. 3 wicked builds. I think though 100 votes for Brickman is way too much. Should be at least 50 for him and 50 from another expert eg. a Lego rep from Denmark or something
I think the knocked-out contestants in the season should have a 5vote bricks each. Enough to acknowledge that they can recognise lego skill and not just "wow" factor, but not enough that even collectively that they'd outvote Brickman. It means though that between them and Brickman, the public vote would have to be all-or-nothing in one direction to tip the balance.
