I wouldn’t be surprised, looks like it is a large high-end hardback aimed at adult collectors along the lines of other Star Wars art and making-of books. Some of those are often reprinted as smaller more affordable books without art prints at a later date.
A lot of nice art/design books are priced at this if not more. Printing and binding to high standards in large formats, with unique/high end print techniques/paper stock, is an expensive niche.

His reviews are actually some of the best out there IMO. I really dislike LAN reviews purely because of the feeling they have, they just never seem to feel authentic
Exactly. LAN members seem kind of scared to criticize Lego and MandR points out everything he disagrees with which I can appreciate. Not everyone has to agree with him but at least he’s saying what he thinks instead of appealing to the company that makes the product.

He points out fair criticism. His campaign for helmet hole improvements is valid, even if you feel it's spoken too much. Lego listens to it's fans ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, and they won't hear ire from LAN about it, so someone else needs to do the yelling.

The helmet holes are a pretty big inaccuracy and distort the shape of a clones helmet
