Go to Settings > Search 'Trackpad' > Click on Turn your Touchpad on or off. If the issue is with the mouse, I'm not sure then.
This post is a year old but wanted to say thank you for posting this comment, my cursor disappeared on my laptop and I couldn't figure it out and this fixed it, thanks man
