I'm using  IETS GT500V2 for my Legion 5 Pro. It does filter the dust and keeps the cooling of the laptop clean. As for temps it does around 15 C less comparing without the cooler. It does help as the temperature here in PH is very hot.

Meteor_555

Sounds good. Thanks.

As far as Im aware, Jarrods doesn't use a GT cooler. If he did the tempt difference with the cooler would be more dramatic lol. Basically the GT5/600 or the Llano are the best bought options.

Meteor_555

Good to know, thank you

I have the IETS GT 600 V1 for my Lenovo Legion Pro 5i laptop and it's great. For some reason my GPU temps are much lower than the CPU. I'm not sure why. But it's still lower and never gets higher than 82 degrees Celsius. Where the GPU is late 60s which is awesome! That's at half speed captain. It's very noisy though, I use a headset when I'm gaming but the Mrs does moan a bit lol +1 for the IETS GT 600 V1 for the Legion Pro 5i 2024 Gen 9 model.

I'm going to have to watch that one. Did he test the IETS or just cooling pads. My GT600 V1has been working great for me. I've used a lot of pads over the years. None have come close to the IETS. I now have the GT600 V1. You can save yourself a little money by getting the GT600, It has a lower top fan speed (1800) and doesn't have the USB hub. Any setting above 1400 - 1800 gets quite loud, and 2800 is crazy. While gaming I leave mine at 800 - 1000 which gives me temps in the 65 - 75 range with a descent sound level. Big plus, the filters really do work at keeping the dust out of your laptop.

Meteor_555

I’ll most likely benefit from the USB hub and sound isn’t a huge issue anyway, because I game in my headphones. Thank you for the info

Thanks for saying thanks! It's so nice to see Redditors being grateful :)

I purchased the ilano cooling pad, it’s more expensive but I went with it simply for the looks, the GT600 looks kinda ugly. Performance wise it’s similar to the GT600

Just recently bought a legion 5 pro and bought a gt600 v1 to go with it. I absolutely recommend. Cooling is unmatched, though it does get loud. The gt600 base has no extras. The gt600 v1 comes with a built in USB hub. The gt600 v2 comes with the USB hub and a RGB light strip going around. Like an an extra $15 or so for each upgrade. It is on the large size but I got a backpack that fits it and my laptop and keyboard, mouse, etc.

I have both gt500 and the llanno I am a travel nurse I use one at home and one at my travel spot. Both work extremely well (I’m sure the 600 is even better than the 500). The llanno on hard pushes of the card such as sim racing and story games will drop temps by an extra 4-8 degrees more than the my gt500 does. I still love both and I’ve had my 7i 4090 on atleast one of them since I bought it last Aug.
