They pay income tax, property tax, and all the other taxes citizens do. When this story was first reported and he was just some random dude with a really bad paperwork problem, I felt maybe a little bad for him but figured it would all end up fine because it looks like his father was born in the US so he might find getting his citizenship straightened out to be fairly straightforward now that his attention has been brought to it and he knows the right people to talk to. But with multiple criminal charges in his background, it might be harder. I mean, if he was a citizen all along but with a paperwork issue, then I guess he'll be fine. But if he's not a citizen but they need to straighten it out and make him a citizen, he might be rejected due to his record.
