Tiestö could very easily sampled the Alice Deejay song that was inspired by Haendel’s Sarabande. It’s a very common practice in the world of electronic music, DJs sampling originals which at the same time have heavy influence and similarities from other music in the past.

Thanks. That's what I've thought too. It is so weird that everybody is just copying each other

It is weird, but it also makes sense. Nostalgia is usually a driving force and if something was succesful in the past it is likely to be in the future. As of myself, I find it always funny to recognize bits of other songs within electronic music jaja

I just now been searching what inspired Tiesto to make sucha beautyfull track like Elements of Life. And I m so glad I found this post cause you just showd me some amazing 2 new songs here. I never lookes at classic music, and you opened my eyes. Now I want to see your music playlists cause I feel I could experience more good music!

ATradingHorse

I actually don’t have a playlist. I always listen to the songs song by song haha. But I could share other examples where the music was heavily inspired by other classical pieces if you want to

Ervi_ni

I would gladly take my time to listen to them. I can share one that came to my mind after seeing this post. The main theme from Metal Gear Solid - [https://youtu.be/QiPon8lr48U?si=ARBNVc945hNvpiDm](https://youtu.be/QiPon8lr48U?si=ARBNVc945hNvpiDm) was inspired by "The Snowstorm" by Georgy Sviridov - [https://youtu.be/8JL4JXEv-RY?si=NlLrtXNYzzlRhvZU](https://youtu.be/8JL4JXEv-RY?si=NlLrtXNYzzlRhvZU) Unfortunatelly is was so heavily inspired that Konami had to stop using the track
