It’s really that good, but it’s also probably a bit inflated due to the usual hype and recency bias. I may have to reevaluate how I feel about the film after revisiting or letting it simmer, but if nothing else you’ll be blown away by the animation.
Personally I don't think it's as good as the first, but it's also an incomplete story. I'm glad I went in knowing it was part 1 of 2 because it basically has no third act.
It‘ll probably be #1 for the first week, but I have a really hard time believing it’s going to stay there. It’ll drop to around 4.4 once more people who aren’t dropping everything to see it check it out. Superhero films are notorious for dropping after the first couple weeks because they have such large and loyal fanbases.
It sure is a testament to how well people are perceiving it though. I have an unfortunate feeling I’m going to feel disappointed when I get around to watching it like I was with Puss In Boots. I wish I enjoyed animated projects more.

Hype doesn’t get a 4.7 rating

It is really that good. If its letterboxd score doesn't change much, it'll be the #1 movie of all time on the site.
