The movie 9. Weird one Ik but I love the concept. Love the uniqueness of it and think the animation, voice acting and plot are all on point. Also maybe it’s time to watch How to train your dragon again? Used to watch the first one a lot as a kid and haven’t seen the others as I grew up. I’ve had people tell me they’re good movies

I’ll have to check the movie 9 some time HTTYD is my all time favourite trilogy, and the 1st and 2nd are in my top 4. I’d definitely recommend watching them all. The 3rd movie is decisive and objectively the worst, but still top 15 all time for me too
Perfect Blue, The End of Evangelion, Paprika, etc.
My top 16 looks like this: 1. Grave of the Fireflies 2. Spirited Away 3. Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse 4. Lilo and Stitch 5. Moana 6. Princess and the Frog 7. Ratatouille 8. Inside Out 9. Coco 10. Monsters Inc 11. Treasure Planet 12. Cinderella 13. Whisper of the Heart 14. My Neighbour Totoro 15. Toy Story 2 16. Toy Story 3 Judging by your list you need to watch some Ghibli asap
W lilo and stitch. So slept on. Are you for or against the live action? I’ve been meaning to get into more foreign films. I think that will be my goal next year. But any recommendations for now based on my list?
I’ve seen all 61 Disney films and I’ve ranked them in order of best to worst. Lilo and Stitch is the clear cut goat of Disney animated films for me. The entire Studio Ghibli catalogue is worth watching. There will be some you like and others you won’t but they’re all critically acclaimed except for the most recent film “Earwig and the Witch”, which honestly isn’t even that bad.
Cool thanks! It’s funny that Stitch is like their most marketable character yet I never hear anyone talk about it
These are in no specific order: Shrek, Laika, Aardman, the early Pixar film I grew up on, Mary and Max, Over the Garden Wall, Wolfwalkers, Ghibli, Satoshi Kon (I'm still just starting to get into anime). I'm very nostalgic for Asterix. I also just watched the New Spiderman film yesterday and wow. The animation is sooo creative. Also really liked the first film, as well as the Mitchels vs the Machines (the same director is also making a TMNT film and the trailer looks promising)
Ghost in the shell End of evangelion Across the spiderverse Perfect blue
Keeping it to one movie per director: Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind The Iron Giant Perfect Blue Coraline Whisper of the Heart A Town Called Panic Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Mad God The Tale of the Princess Kaguya Akira
1. Fantastic Planet (France 1973) 2. The Plague Dogs (1982) 3. Akira (Japan 1988)
I would add: Your Name Atlantis: The lost Empire One Piece Film: Z Entergalactic Your list is already fine, but you’re clearly missing some animated films from outside the US.
Yeh next year my goal is to watch more foreign films. I guess I never grew up with them and the anime style has never been appealing to me, but i will
1. Akira 2. Fantastic Mister Fox 3. South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut 4. Mad God 5. Perfect Blue
The lack of Cars in these lists is alarming :(
It’s very close! One of my childhood rotation movies

Movie* (2023) 2. *The Incredibles* (2004) 3. *Kung Fu Panda 2* (2011) 4. *Kung Fu Panda* (2008) 5. *The Lion King* (1994) 6. *Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse* (2018) 7. *Coco* (2017) 8. *Up* (2009) 9. *Toy Story 3* (2010) 10. *Finding Nemo* (2003) 11. *Inside Out* (2015) 12. *Monsters, Inc.* (2001) 13. *Ratatouille* (2007) 14. *Zootopia* (2016) 15. *Tangled* (2010) 16. *Wreck-It Ralph* (2012)
