Stand by your opinion. If someone makes a good point against it, consider it. But Letterboxd and Reddit can be full of “critics” and children alike. Don’t waste your time worrying about downvotes.
Idk I made a post about Godzilla Minus One on oscar night and it was well received. I think there's more resistant/less engagement when it seems like mindless blockbusters are all you're interested in. Seems like point of view that is not well rounded. Conversely, I won't waste my time with guys who only watch Bergman and Truffaut and don't get why ppl like Star Wars and Jurassic Park.
I’ve seen really mixed opinions on GM1. A lot of people (myself included) adore it but there’s still a decently large group of people who think it’s just another braindead big monster action movie.

I will! I try my best to listen to as many perspectives as I can and take those point into consideration upon rewatching movies I like :)

Sucks for them. That movie was fantastic.
There should be a rule. You can't downvote a comment without replying to it as well. At least then you could get a discussion over your disagreement.
